Thank you for the montage of photos, Thisenglishlife. Meghan is just so gorgeous. 😍

Encyclo · 07/11/2019 18:28

Just wow at that montage of photos. Harry's seriously punching.

peridito · 07/11/2019 18:33

As posted before I think but maybe clearer and a close up of belt with possible poppy motif .

Ha! @CurlyWurlyTwirly I was shouted down when I suggested that a while back, but I wondered if perhaps the children had been poorly and Kate had been up with them more than normal. She definitely has 'tired mum' look.

Personally I loved Meghan's outfit today, the texture in the coat and the hat were lovely touches. How lovely to be able to call on a milliner whenever you have need! Kate's waist really looks tiny today, but I like the colour and her blowdry is as fab as usual.

More engagements this weekend to look forward to!

mathanxiety · 07/11/2019 19:21

I may be part of a minority of two(?) here, but I love MM's coat and boots.

Agree with Curly's assessment of the coat shape and why it was chosen.

I think stiffer knee high boots would make MM look very short and cankley. The styles of boot that suit her and suggest the lovely slim legs underneath are slouchy boots with fitted foot (like today's) or close fitting ones.

thisenglishlife · 07/11/2019 19:22

Kate's hair colour plus the bad outdoor light doesn't help. The hair colour is too light and bland for her - it's probably to cover up the grey - hairdressers will advise you to go lighter once you've reached a certain percentage of grey. But, as I've said previously, Kate looks better with darker or redder hair.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/11/2019 19:23

@Wetdogloveshubert

Well the timing would be about right. Kate likes a 2 year gap and a late spring / early summer baby!

William was a bit more solicitous than I’ve seen him being in a while....

I think Meghan is pretty but I wouldn't describe her as a great beauty, tbh. I do think that she has a lovely freshness about her, and she exudes health which is always attractive. She is also very photogenic. But honestly if you saw her in Suits before anyone knew who she was, she was just another pretty Californian actress who didn't particularly stand out. I think people are a bit dazzled by her status, and amongst the RF there isn't a fat lot of competition.

Disfordarkchocolate · 07/11/2019 19:31

I saw Meghan in Suits and thought she looked radiant, same as she does now.

Wetdogloveshubert · 07/11/2019 19:36

My thoughts too, @CurlyWurlyTwirly! It would be lovely, babies are such blessings.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 07/11/2019 19:36

Ah well, beauty is, as they say, in the eye of the beholder.

Wetdogloveshubert · 07/11/2019 19:36

Oops, pressed send too soon. I was going to add... I also love Kate's pregnancy style.

Rhubarbisevil · 07/11/2019 19:38

I don’t think Kate is pregnant. I think she has a cold. She need a nice hat, scarf and gloves.

peridito · 07/11/2019 19:48

These photos from madaboutmeghan.blogspot.com/ of Meghan when they called in to a coffee morning in Windsor show her dressed in much less style .Not v flattering IMO .

I think she looked best in Suits, if anything.

Why does she have to be a great beauty? Do Kate, Camilla, Sophie or Beatrice need to be great beauties? They just need to do their engagements well and put in an appearance at public BRF events.

TSSDNCOP · 07/11/2019 20:06

Really, really not a fan of MS today from the neck down. The hat and her sparkly face are gorgeous.

Love the blue on KC. Perhaps a coat would’ve been a faff at their destination.

FATEdestiny · 07/11/2019 20:15

I think she's wearing nude 7 denier tights.

What is the purpose of such fine tights?

escapade1234 · 07/11/2019 20:24

Did I read on here recently that the royal women are not supposed to remove their coats indoors at engagements? So if they arrive in a coat, they keep it on. Bonkers but true apparently. I think that’s why Kate often arrives coatless.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 07/11/2019 20:56

Why does she have to be a great beauty?

No reason at all. I just find it surprising that people do describe her that way.

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 07/11/2019 21:08

Watching an old episode of Castle last night and Meghan was the baddie. She also was dressed as Sleeping Beauty. Season 4 episode 17 if anyone is interested.

tinyteece01 · 07/11/2019 21:30

There was too much going on in that outfit. Think the long hair with the small Forties’ style hat looked messy.

paradyning · 07/11/2019 21:40

I really like Meg's white pussy now blouse.
The looks amazing from the shoulders up today. Stunning.

paradyning · 07/11/2019 21:43

On some of those close-up pics on the blog her make up is absolutely immaculate. I wonder if she does do it herself.

iknowimcoming · 07/11/2019 22:54

Does William not normally wear a wedding ring?

Horsemad · 07/11/2019 23:02

No, I think PH is the only male in the immediate Royal Family to wear a wedding ring.
