Can't imagine myself wearing any scarf indoors unless of course the central heating had died or the roof, doors and windows had been blown out.

catinb0oots · 30/10/2019 22:40

I wore my 10 year old MN scarf to work the other day

SunshineP · 30/10/2019 22:42

Just someone else slagging off women. Wear what the hell you like. I find people like the op really dull.

GeorgianaDovesHouse · 30/10/2019 22:48

Is this an indoor scarf?

There’s nothing as frumpy as indoor scarves

@ExpletiveDEVILighted I wear Long thick outdoor scarves in the home in cold weather. While cooking or cleaning I might take it off, but then wear it again. Plus I also wear shalwar kameez during warm weather, which I love wearing with long thin scarves.

So @AliciaQuays Does that mean that my heritage clothes/styling etc are also outdated, and should be stopped because you don't approve

WombleishofTheThighs · 30/10/2019 23:28

Meh Hmm

1forAll74 · 31/10/2019 00:51

I have always hated scarves, because when I was about 17/18 in the early 1960 era, all us girls used to wear those horrible headscarves,as we use to cycle to work every day,and we needed our big bouffant lacquered hairstyles to stay perfect. We all looked like younger versions of the Queen.

mathanxiety · 31/10/2019 05:05

You can refold them too if spillage too conspicuous eg. soup, pasta etc

No need if your scarves have patterns in red/orange/black/beige Wink

My conclusion from this thread is that I am mumsy AF.

Scarriff · 31/10/2019 06:43

Now I'm upset. I have a White Stuff tunic I was planning to wear today with leggings and boots. Actually I wore a similar outfit yesterday. Now I'm going to have to stay in bed. Woe is me.

Kidlacky · 31/10/2019 06:46

what about green tweed skirt below the knee, with long socks and buckle shoes? Anna Widdcomb styleee.

Kidlacky · 31/10/2019 06:48

i have to say they are better than lizard knecks . Depends on the label.

Kidlacky · 31/10/2019 06:49

wear neck wrinkles with pride i say. Young people in neck scarves...... up against the wall.

Indiemeg · 31/10/2019 08:13

Well I sometimes wear them, they’re just a way of accessorising an outfit, perhaps to fill in a neck line or add a different colour to a look.I think they’re a perennial wardrobe classic and I have quite a collection!
Don’t worry what others might think, as with everything wear what suits you and please yourself.😃

LuaDipa · 31/10/2019 09:08

As someone who is constantly freezing, I fucking love an indoor scarf. Or scarf as I affectionately know them.🙄

I don’t love the way some women choose to pull each other down at every opportunity.

The best thing about growing older is worrying less about the opinions of others and wearing and doing whatever you like. I would have died before going out without make-up in my teens and twenties. I wouldn’t think twice now heading out in my joggers and t-shirt with no make-up and hair pinned back. I actually need it to look half decent these days but I can’t bring myself to care.🤷🏻‍♀️

woodhill · 31/10/2019 09:22

Also they protect your neck from UV rays from blue light or sunlight.

I want to preserve this. Hate polo necks as I feel strangled but scarves go off and on like cardies which I find useful

TheLittleDogLaughed · 31/10/2019 09:46

Oh so my hand-knitted Tom Baker Dr Who scarf that I’ve been wearing indoors for 20 years isn’t trendy. Shit ...

iamenough1 · 31/10/2019 10:23

Cant believe this garbage popped up on my email as a 'hot thread'. 😂😂😂 what a load of sh$t. But it has given me a laugh.

Xiaoxiong · 31/10/2019 10:50

This thread has single handedly revitalised my indoor scarf wearing. I've worn one every day this week Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/10/2019 11:06

I'm deliberately wearing my outdoor scarf indoors. I might even change it to coordinate with my cardigan.

bengalcat · 31/10/2019 11:31

Received a belated birthday present last night - a scented candle and an indoor scarf - fabulous .

TheLittleDogLaughed · 31/10/2019 12:34

Tonight I'm going to perform the Dance of the Seven (indoor) Scarves for my husband.

QueSera · 31/10/2019 15:06

Never heard of an 'indoor scarf'.

FelicisNox · 31/10/2019 20:47

I had no idea indoor scarves were a thing and I don't want to know.

Sounds ugly.

Pieceofpurplesky · 31/10/2019 22:53

I wore one with pumpkins on today Halloween Grin

championquartz · 31/10/2019 23:02

Read the whole thread while sipping my pint of sherry. No scarf here - hate the feeling of scarves - but knee blankets are the best!Grin
Really have no idea what on earth is the point of the thread (Reckon sherry is due a revival.)

Mildly amusing
Moderately insulting
