I used to wonder if I was shallow, but I don't see it as that anymore. It's OK to enjoy clothes and plan your outfit each day.
I had years of being controlled and after I got out and got help, I had no clue about my own style, nor did I care, but actually what I have found to be healing, is to slowly develop style and what suits me and makes me feel safe. I'm not quite there with summer stuff but love autumn and winter for clothing. I finally feel like me and every day I get to choose something that I want to wear and feel good in.
