Ella It’s beautiful but extremely warm so doesn’t get too much wear. My mother says it makes me look like a luxuriously upholstered caterpillar (which did not stop her from nicking it when she went to Hungary last December).

Hello. Some great outfits today. I’m suffering from charity shop envy again. @KiteflyingKat seems to find so much great stuff.

Cold and sunny today (or at least it was earlier - it’s dark now).

Outfit #1 (with and without jumper). I’ve been sitting in a conference room for most of the day, so just normal office wear.

Jumper: Boden
Black top: Primark
Skirt: Baukjen
Boots: Dune

I’ll be getting changed into outdoor gear (with serious thermals/layers) shortly. Tonight’s activity is a 3 hour boat trip. It’s definitely going to be cold.

@PinkDaydreams I bought the boots several weeks ago. They are different to the ones @Ellapaella linked to. I think they were £28. Can’t see them on the website now though.

Oh they’re even nicer! Are they navy blue? I’ve never thought to buy navy before but I thinks that’s normally because I wear a black coat and would worry about them clashing? I’m not very good at fashion though! I really do like those boots

@PinkDaydreams they are dark grey, which I find goes with most things.

I used to keep a pair of grey sling back shoes in the office as they went with everything, including summer dresses which black would have been too harsh with.

This is me on the boat looking anything but stylish in an extra layer of waterproof overalls. I managed to stay on deck for 2.5 hours out at sea and not freeze. I really enjoyed it (sadly we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights - clear skies but insufficient solar energy)

@KiteflyingKat even better that they’re grey, I’m going to have a nosey in my local Sainsbury’s. Like I said gutted I missed buying them on the 25% off but I’ve been trying to find something with a slimmer sole but I do really like those.

Very stylish @OublietteBravo shame you didn’t see the Northern Lights, they are on my list.

Love this shawl, it’s just so cosy and soft.

The jeans are going to the charity shop. They are too low rise and dig in uncomfortably. Never noticed it pre- baby but my post baby body struggles with lower slung trousers.

I’ve got quite a few things that don’t fit post baby still & I’m not sure how long to hang on to them.....

Dress down day at work today. Felt nice & cosy in my new jumper

Only one outfit today (the conference finished at lunchtime, so no need to change for the evening).

I am not chic today - I'm doing my best at ultimate Christmas cheese - it's Christmas jumper day at DC school. It's surprisingly cosy and I quite like it. I'm back home now rocking it with joggers and slipper socks, having a wee glass of prosecco as it's my middle sons birthday 🎁

Velvet coat (although honestly it’s really more of a jacket) was lovely and warm last night and I’d forgotten it has fleece lined pockets.

Been Xmas shopping in Leeds today with DD
Coated black jeggings, grey cashmere jumper, leather jacket and black knee length boots for me
DD wore a black all saints sweater dress, opaques with ankle boots and an amazing black felted wool cape that I found in a charity shop
We bought a fab glittery party dress in tkmaxx (sharing it as got Xmas dos on different dates) and are similar size

Back into travelling clothes. I’m just about to head to the airport (and ultimately home).
