I’m back in normal office wear today.
Jumper: Warehouse
Dress: Karen Millen (old)
Boots: Dune

Back to work this week and all about the stars today.

Shawl neck jumper (TK Maxx)
Silver star skirt (Warehouse)
Boots (New Look)

It’s absolutely freezing so there are layers of thermals underneath.

@Talisin I love all your outfits. I feel a bit stuck in jeans and jumpers at the moment and am a bit bored. Dresses are just a bit too cold in this weather. I need some inspiration for winter outfits.

My outfit today was too boring to photo - white silk blouse (Jigsaw via charity shop) and black skirt from Boden.
It’s the ruched skirt everyone in here was raving about a couple of years ago but I really don’t get what all the fuss was about?! Thankfully I combined a few different discount codes / vouchers and only paid a tenner for it I think!

@KiteflyingKat I have the same Boden skirt. I think it's great for work and it is quite flattering over a mum tum but it doesn't lend itself much for casual wear as it's not very exciting.

@KiteflyingKat or @Ellapaella take a picture! I don't remember that skirt at all

Ella I know what you mean. We are on a uk city break at the weekend and I’m struggling with what to pack. I need one coat to cover all eventualities 🤦‍♀️

@Ellapaella I clearly completely missed that skirt! Quite like it but what to wear with it would be my problem.

As I can still hardly move, I'm still in joggers and a grey cowl neck soft top. Ouch

We are having a new fireplace fitted today so me & DS2 are off to my mums. I love this shirt - it’s so soft!

@Ellapaella dresses can be fine in the cold weather with the right tights. Look out for 100 denier or Boden sometimes do thick, chunky tights.

@Ellapaella yes I think I might get rid of that Boden skirt. It’s just so ..... average. Really can’t believe everyone was raving about it.

Sorry no photo today as been looking after a sick toddler all day. I did manage to sneak into my favourite charity shop very very quickly when I popped out to get supplies for sick toddler and picked up a wool Cos skirt and Whistles top. I’ve been looking for a heavy winter short skirt.

Now I just need a lose fitting chunky cardigan, in wool, preferably in grey....

Here’s the Cos skirt. It’s really thick, heavy wool with funky pockets sewn on. Was £6.50

Nice clothing today - in the spirit of not saving things for best. It’s cold in my office, so I’ve not yet taken my jumper off. If I remember I’ll take another photo later showing the dress properly.

Hello all.
I've not posted for a little while, lost my mojo a bit.. I don't do well this time of year, hate the dark cold nights.
I have however given myself a kick up the bum.
So, out of scruffs today. Meeting my mum for a coffee and a bit of xmas shopping.

@KiteflyingKat thanks. Another osteopath appointment today which will mean it's more painful tonight but hopefully will ease off tomorrow.

@slavetothemoney I am not a winter person either. My happy time is in the sunshine. In the winter I can't even have a coffee in the garden which sucks. Nice outfit hope you enjoy coffee out

Today is all about comfort as it’s cold and I’m tired as having a tricky week with a poorly / teething toddler.

I’ve not quite worked out the dress-jumper combo. Just doesn’t seem to look right on me. Is the key choosing a cropped jumper? Love the dress on you @OublietteBravo

@OublietteBravo snap, I am wearing a dress with a jumper over today. @happytobemrsg I prefer the jumper to be a neat one rather than oversized when wearing with a dress, especially if the dress has a collar.
Dress today is Matalan, jumper is Toast and boots are from Sainsbury's. I've been to my piano lesson, had coffee with a friend and am off to the hygienist this afternoon.
