Skirt was a total bargain in last January sales - I think it didn’t sell well online because all the photos were so crap - and it’s beautiful.

I am totally lacking in inspiration today so have gone for coated skinnies, grey Zara pearl cuff sweater, Clarks heels and Reiss coat. I did add a pearl hair clip though, inspired by some earlier posts!

I bought the hoodie before I was aware of the ethical considerations surrounding cashmere. Now I would only buy cashmere second hand or from an ethical supplier.

Some great outfits on here. I’m really enjoying this thread. It’s making me think about what I have and what goes with what.

Gone autumnal today-H and M shirt dress over polo neck,brown Chelsea boots, black tights and an ancient long brown cardigan.

@historysock my MV leggings were due today but I've had a message saying that the delivery van has been involved in a traffic accident so there will be a delay. I know the driver as he delivers most of my online purchases ( I live in a tiny place) and I'm worried about him ( and his dog who goes everywhere with him). Much as I'd like my leggings I'm hoping he's okay

@KiteflyingKat I had no idea there were ethical concerns regarding cashmere. Where could I find out a bit more about it? I've definitely missed that one!

If you google “is cashmere cruel” you’ll see more but I don’t want to link to it all here as some of it’s upsetting

@Ellapaella @kite I take great care in where I buy any animal product but I've found peta don't always tell the unvarnished truth. Their videos are horror shows aren't they? I don't know how much that helps educate people. There is definitely cruelty around farming/production of many animal based fibres. Second hand is always best and this Link suggests ways you can make ethical choices. ( its a useful website )

That's an interesting read, I only own two cashmere jumpers (bought about 5 years ago) and can't afford to buy it regularly anyway but that's definitely opened my eyes and I would certainly take that into consideration. I don't wear mohair anyway as I'm allergic to it.

There's a huge debate ( as there should be ) around farming for wool/fur/fleece but I know 2 people who farm ( one sheep and one alpacas) and they are animal lovers and practice humane methods ( I also know that there is an argument that no method can be 100% 'humane' but I do think the campaign to paint the entire industry as inhumane cant be right)
@Ellapaella I'm allergic to most animal fibre but weirdly not merino. I've recently bought a second hand cashmere top and have yet to test it, I suspect I will be allergic but liked the shape! Before I knew better and when I was an aspiring punk I always lusted after a mohair jumper but thankfully they were too itchy

I only ever buy second hand cashmere now, eBay often has some good bargains.

Wearing the NL cord dress again today. It’s quite thick and warm which I definitely appreciated this morning!

I like the cord dress Talisin, and Sooverthemill those jeans are nice - I am looking for an alternative to skinnies which are feeling a bit tired now, but I'm not really into the mom jean shape, and yours seem like something in the middle?

Today I'm in a New Look dress, slouchy suede boots, black biker and a scarf. Swapped the boots for heels in the office and will add a blazer if I need to, for meetings.

@Monkey thank you! At the moment they seem to be my favourite jeans and it's hard not to reach for them everyday. Girlfriend is a good shape on me. Look on banana republic as they have those exact ones but I only paid about £25 I think there must have been an offer. Weirdly Gap ( sister company) girlfriends are a totally different shape on me

I’m currently trying alternatives to skinny jeans ..... but I do just think skinnies suit me best. Today I’m in “mom” jeans and I’m just not sure they are especially flattering on me.

Also I struggle with what to wear in winter with them - in the summer they work with a t-shirt tucked in and flats like Birkenstock’s, but can’t quite work out what they go with in winter??

So I’m not sure about my outfit today!

Thank you all so much for sharing all your outfits and taking part in the thread - I just love this thread and it really helps me to think and plan what I'm wearing everyday. I haven't bought anything new for ages as I'm finding inspiration from all of you to dig stuff out of my wardrobe and wear differently.

I'm feeling virtuous as I did a 6k run this morning followed by another 6k walk with the dog. Now I'm just about to run a few errands then I'm going to start sorting out the DC'a toy boxes to start making room for Christmas, birthday stuff etc.
I'm wearing coated jeans from Vero Moda, Jumper from Superdry and for going out my faux fur coat from Primark. Warm and cosy today.
