I am normally a jeans and jumper mumsie type aka frumpy Blush but I thought I was a teenager again and ordered chunky boots and fish net tights and an orange dress. Put it all together with my "granny" cardy ......do i look ok am only 29 but feel like am dressed like am 16 again Blush

I think you look cool OP, but the boots arent my fave personally!

pickingdaisies · 22/10/2019 22:00

Love it. Ok maybe it would look more "pulled together" with black tights, boots, jacket, but also, maybe more conventional? Your look is quirky, individual. Nailed it.

Sagradafamiliar · 22/10/2019 22:01

Yes, you pull it off. It's a good casual outfit. If you swapped the tights for opaques, then they wouldn't match the boots. The boots would then need to be black.
Like peaky said, the cardi balances out the fishnets.

TheStuffedPenguin · 22/10/2019 23:12

Without the fishnets it looks like any outfit in Fat Face .... personally I like your look .

Tinyandpetite · 23/10/2019 01:14

You have an amazing figure! Dress looks beautiful on you. Maybe a black cardigan to go with your lovely dresses?

Daisyboobooboo · 23/10/2019 01:40

This look reminds me of the Spice Girls back in the day.

BusterGonad · 23/10/2019 02:52

I've not read all of the responses but you can definitely pull it off, and not to be rude but the cardy really slims you down, I'm not keen on the boots and I prefer normal tights but you look good. Invest in more cardys and mini dresses! Grin

unbalancedBella · 23/10/2019 05:58

Love it. I'm 50, just bought Dr Martens Jason boots, and if wear them with that. I'd probably not wear the fishnets and swap the cardi for a biker jacket. But you look great.

AliciaQuays · 23/10/2019 06:01

Cardigan is not good

Pringlesfortea · 23/10/2019 06:12

You look fab ..don’t change a thing x

wherestheotherone · 23/10/2019 06:42

Carry with trousers not the dress. Opaque tights, another cardi or a casual jacket, you need some shape to the cardi because of the shape of the dress. All items are ok it's just the combination.

WatchingTheMoon · 23/10/2019 06:46

As some others have said, it looks totally fine, it might not be 100% everyone's taste but it's not out there and certainly doesn't look stupid.

NerrSnerr · 23/10/2019 06:51

I think you look great. If I saw you walking down the street I'd probably think that I liked your cardy!

ChickenyChick · 23/10/2019 06:59

I like it, it’s original and fun. Much more boring if you changed to opaque tights and black boots. Or if you try to go for “polished” (nooooo )

I sort of dressed like that in the 90s (am 20 yrs older than you Grin), My style was always a combo of “feminine” (pretty dress) and “no nonsense” (big baggy jumpers) Paired with “kick ass” chunky boots Smile

I think it is a fun style when you are young (and you are young)

IShitGlitter · 23/10/2019 07:29

Thank you all it's a real mixed bunch...but I loved the outfit and I have a few more dresses like this in a few colours so definitely going to keep wearing it. Going to ask to remove thread purely because of picture of myself thanks guys!

Looks fine to me, but I don't think the tights would be very warm.
