Kate’s green coat is more of an elongated Nehru jacket, but I would expect to see that collar and style more on men

I really dont like that green on her. All you see is the coat and not Kate. But the blue one she wears later is so much more flattering. I think the colour does so much more for her colouring.
I just dont like anything about the green number I'm afraid.

Would you @BlingLoving? I don't imagine if I was going to Pakistan I'd even think about wearing a Shalwar kameez! I'd wear my usual clothes.

The Duchess of Cambridge is wearing jewel colours. She looks beautiful.

I think Kate looks very elegant in the green outfit but it just looks like a normal coat. The scarf, bottoms and shoes are a win for me though.

I have many friends and colleagues with a sub-Indian continent background. They love asking me and others to wear traditional clothes to events, they will often buy me clothes. Those clothes are my favourite ones in my wardrobe. I wish I could wear them on a normal day instead of my usual dresses!

I'm not loving any of the DoCs outfits really, the deeper blue colour is nice on her though. None of them are going to set the world on fire.

She does however look thoroughly appropriate, as she always does. Lovely hair too.

Whilst I think it is lovely that Royals dress in a 'local' style whilst in some countries, it would be weird if the same happened when foreign dignitaries visited the UK. There would be a run on coat dresses.

Love it all so far except for the hideous shoes this morning. Practical, yes. Stylish, no!

I think in some cultures it’s a big no no like Navajo who are so protective of their culture. But other cultures absolutely fine with that

I love the lapis blue on Kate but really dislike the green trench and cream trousers and the nude shoes - both pairs.
I just hope that the William and Rose Hanbury stories are untrue. Kate is a great asset to the Royal Family. He couldnt be that stupid, could he ?

The registration plates on the car used by Harry and Meghan in South Africa were British. People were questioning the cost I think.

I liked the scarf Kate was wearing over her shoulder, I preferred that shade of green to the green of her coat.

Did the Cambridges have an engagement after the flight yesterday? If not, did Kate dress up just to walk down the steps? I would LOVE her to come out in her comfies instead.

@pastaparadise No, they didn't arrive til quite late so I imagine it was straight to their hotel for a good night's sleep ahead of today's events.

beanaseireann it must be security issues, I’m sure they will take the exact precautions for both princes, don’t see an issue with either one of them shipping their cars for high risk places , didn’t they arrive on a RAF plane? They could have brought the car with them,
