I might try that Toast jumper although not sure if the high neck will suit me. Anyone advise me on the sizing? I usually wear a 12 but sometimes a 10 depending on the fit.

In other news, I just wanted to share something really lovely that happened recently. Don't know if anyone remembers but dd3 lost a beloved Mickey Mouse earring bought from Disneyland Paris in the summer. DLP were very unhelpful in replacing, they don't do mail order, can't help etc. I did look into getting a replacement made but then I had another idea. I joined a FB group for Brits going to DLP and posted on there asking if anyone was going soon and could do me a huge favour (cheeky I know!). Anyway this lovely lady messaged me saying she was happy to help. She sent me pictures while she was there, making sure they were the right ones etc.....and wrapped them beautifully and sent them to dd when she was back in the UK. AND....when I tried to arrange paying her, she said she didn't want any money!! I insisted on paying her anyway for the earrings and the postage because I know how expensive everything is and I didn't want her to be out of pocket. But such a kind thing to do for a complete stranger. Dd was over the moon Smile Smile

Sooverthemill · 20/10/2019 10:40

@twosoups that is so kind! It always makes me so happy how kind strangers can be

Just had an email from Cos, they’ve got some lovely knitwear.

Huffthepuff · 20/10/2019 13:42

@twosoups1972 I've only got one jumper from Toast and it is a fairly neat fit. I got a Small but it's quite short. I think it's quite variable depending on the item. Sorry, that's not much help!

Laska2Meryls · 20/10/2019 14:20

Thanks Talisin its got a bad review on Hush for the finish , but I think that they were unlucky. Mine is perfect .. So pleased, I dont own a leather jacket ( well I do now and it's fab!)😊

Ellapaella · 20/10/2019 16:18

I know I'm famous for my love of knitwear but have a look at Weird Fish's collection of Scandinavia style knitwear - so many lovely jumpers and cardigans! 😍

Beautiful Moto leather jacket Laska so pleased you found “the one” Smile

Ella love the weirdfish snowflake and Fairisle cardigans. Not pure wool but bargainous and easier to machine wash too.

Soups what a lovely outcome to the Disney earring dilemma! Restores faith in human nature but please don’t say skinnies are not suited to top heavy girls! I’d be lost without mine Wink

Not yes fur sadly packed and ready to return tomorrow. It’s fab but really surplus to requirements. I’ve also decided to return the Bloomsbury navy/gold print dress. It’s a beautiful print and very easy to wear (and a bargain) but I just don’t feel the shape does me any favours...it’s just not “me”. So an 8 will be back in stock next week in case anyone still wants to try.
Btw you really should at least keep the boat neck top, it really suited you and those cozy bargainous joggers just need to be kept hidden from Cat 😬

dontcallmelen · 20/10/2019 17:35

Aww Soups how lovely the kindness of strangers is indeed a wonderful thing.
Laska so glad you found the ‘one’ with your jacket tis beautiful & really suits you.
Ella some nice patterns/colours on that link.

Laska2Meryls · 20/10/2019 17:37

I just left a good review of the Moto jacket..I really cant fault it.. I think the person who left the bad review was just unlucky, mine is just perfect .. (although at that price it should be, and if not id have said so too ) .

Soy The Bloomsbury looked fab on you ! You should keep, .. I wore mine straight out of the box ..

Ella I do NOTneed any more jumper encouragement !! (but yes the are lovely !)

Laska2Meryls · 20/10/2019 17:38

two Soups what a fab story, I hope your Dd appreciated what a fab mum you were to organise that , ( and what a fab person the one was who got them for her)

Sooverthemill · 20/10/2019 17:57

Haven't ever bought knitwear from weird fish but did get DH a fleece which he wears almost every day and has done for 2 years! It still looks virtually new

twosoups1972 · 20/10/2019 18:35

Thank you @Laska2Meryls I think she does. They say autistic people lack empathy and sometimes dd does, but I think on this occasion she could see what a lovely thing it was to do.

@SoyYo skinnies - don't get me wrong, I do still wear mine and they're great for tucking into boots. But after a tried a straight pair from Gap I could see how much more balanced I looked.

@Laska glad you love the jacket! It's so lovely when you find something that's just right.

Had a frustrating couple of days trying to sort our accommodation for our holiday at Christmas. We're going (hopefully!) to Barbados then Florida. Booking through Trailfinders who are normally very good but this time they've messed up big time. Two weeks ago we thought we were all sorted....then they phoned last week to say hotel in Barbados couldn't offer us the rooms that were originally requested. On Friday Trailfinders suggested a couple of alternatives, one of which we really liked and was all inclusive. They said it was available but by Friday evening they still couldn't confirm. Over the weekend I've been emailing the hotel direct who say they haven't got the right rooms available for us Confused

I know it's first world problems and all that but Trailfinders lack of communication with us has been awful. We could have just booked the damn hotel ourselves!

SoyYo · 20/10/2019 18:40

Soups I know it was a tongue in cheek comment 😜 I don’t suit boyfriend style but I’d be willing to give the gap slim straight leg a go. But I do like my relaxed hush embroidered jeans (but summer jeans) and some old Boden and Levi slim bootcuts (they’re making a come back!) But skinnies/very slim leg not sprayed on just say rocknroll Wink

SoyYo · 20/10/2019 18:43

Oh no! Sorry to read about your Xmas Hols Hotel mess Soups
Hope you find a good alternative ASAP as it sounds like a fabulous holiday 🙏

dontcallmelen · 20/10/2019 18:54

I keep meaning to try the Gap slim straight leg jeans, I have tried so many different cuts & cant seem to get the right fit, so always end up going back to Topshop Jamie jeans.
Soups sounds like a fab holiday, very annoying though that the experts can’t seem to sort it properly for you.

twosoups1972 · 20/10/2019 21:01

Well I've just had an email from the hotel saying they don't have a triple room for the dds for two of the nights out of the seven and that Trailfinders have got it wrong! So tomorrow I'm expecting a sheepish call from Trailfinders confirming this. This is the second hotel they've tempted us with and failed to confirm Angry

twosoups1972 · 20/10/2019 21:02

@dontcallmelen I love the Gap straight legs, definitely worth trying them.

Sooverthemill · 21/10/2019 07:44

@dontcallmelen my gap slim straight jeans are my most favourite jeans ever ever ever. Sadly they no longer fit me. But when they did they were the best jeans I've ever owned.
