Thanks Never ! Yes - I'm veering towards that rather than the dress. (Can only really keep one, even though the dress is a bargain!). I think I'll return the velvet joggers even though they are really cheap too...cant see me being able to keep them "nice" for longer than a day Sad yes cat, I'm looking at you... . And out of the dress and boat neck top (which are basically the same price), I think the top will be more useful. Boring, but useful...that's my motto...

I went for the navy in the cardigan. It's a more boring colour than the butternut, but it will go with more in my wardrobe (see...boring but useful...) The butternut is beautiful, but I don't generally suit oranges and i own more blues/ greens/ reds/ greys which will go better with the navy I think. And I am going to have to wear it with everything to make the cost per wear reasonable...

dontcallmelen · 18/10/2019 16:17

Not it all looks really good on you, the skirt combo is fab glad you finally got the cardigan, happy days.
I was in Sainsbury’s earlier, they have some lovely teddy coats & short fur jackets in lots of colours for £40.00 also had a really pretty velvet pleated midi skirt for £20.00 & some nice coatingans worth a look if anyone after any of those.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/10/2019 16:22

I missed the velvet joggers. Keep (sorry) they suit you so much!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/10/2019 16:23

Actually i like it all on you👍

noodlezoodle · 18/10/2019 16:29

Not I don't think that boat neck top is boring, it looks like one of those incredibly useful staples that you'll wear all the time.

I absolutely adore that Toast cardigan, it looks so cosy. May have to stalk it and see if it goes in the winter sale.

twosoups1972 · 18/10/2019 16:37

@NotAnActualSheep keep the navy boat neck. It looks lovely on you, I don't think £29 is too unreasonable. Love the skirt and the zebra dress Smile

twosoups1972 · 18/10/2019 16:40

@NotAnActualSheep happy to hear you ordered the lovely Toast cardigan! If they only had your size left, it was meant to be. Hope you love it.

Wish I hand't seen that Toast discount code, I've got my eye on red boxy v-neck jumper but it will still be £££ even with the discount. @Laska2Meryls you are a Toast expert - does their sale start soon and do they reduce a lot?

GinandGingerBeer · 18/10/2019 18:28

The velvet joggers certainly don't look unflattering in the picture @not.
I'm a zebra fan & it is a bargain. Versatile too,,,, flip flops or boots..... Wink
Love the Martins too. The navy boatneck while it might be a bit safe, could just be a staple you'll wear and wear so might be worth keeping in the quality is good?

SoyYo · 18/10/2019 18:30

@NotAnActualSheep bravo for getting the Toast cardie!! Wonderful.
On your Hush Haul: see how different our shapes are? The boatneck top just looked crap on me but on you perfection! I love the skirt and how you styled it for us (thank you!) and if you can’t keep the zebra and the skirt I agree the skirt is most versatile. But dress also looks brilliant as do the joggers (now the velour is really lux isn’t it? I kept the velour black top but the trousers went back...they looked nothing like your photo on me).

noodles very jealous of your velvet jacket now Envy and love all your buys

len bargainous scarf!! And huge and lovely

I’m sadly returning the fur bomber as I’ve realised I have another short Hush winter jacket unworn so surplus to requirements...if it was further reduced I’d consider repurchasing.

I’ve however managed to grab a leopard slinky skirt and some Jigsaw trainers and sunglasses 😎
I shall report back...

GinandGingerBeer · 18/10/2019 19:59

Just realised I meant to post some pics in case anyone had been thinking of ordering

@NotAnActualSheep, I love all your purchases and agree that the shirt and top look really great. And I'm also a fan of the joggers. Could you keep lint rollers handy at all times so you could go over them whenever you're about to leave the house? That is what my MIL does. And that cardigan is a beauty!

GinandGingerBeer the skirt looks gorgeous! And I like how you styled the Bloomsbury dress. Shame about the cord one.

Ellapaella · 19/10/2019 08:38

@NotAnActualSheep wow!
I love the zebra dress on you, absolutely lovely. Laos really love the outfit with the floral skirt, looks amazing with this lovely navy boots. You are totally rocking those outfits 👌

Ellapaella · 19/10/2019 08:40

Gin the blossom skirt is perfect, really love it on you.
I'm on a very low spend (should really be no spend) from now until after Christmas as too many other things to spend money on at the moment. But I'm off to Edinburgh next weekend with friends so may well have a little spend if I see something I love.

Maranello4 · 19/10/2019 11:36

Joining you lot again....Otford Boots. Sooo tempted Smileand 50 ish % off runs out tonight. Anyone worn these? https://www.hush-uk.com/sale-1/sale-2/orford-boots-grey.htm

NotAnActualSheep · 19/10/2019 23:15

Thanks folks! You're very kind! I confess I had parcelled up the zebra dress and velvet joggers - but when I got to the post office it was closed, "due to unforeseen circumstances". So i had to bring the parcel back home - and now I'm debating getting them out again Blush . I'm not sure I wouldn't be sad not to have them...and the lint rollers are a genius suggestion contemplates lint rolling the cat to solve the problem at source . If only i had infinite money and infinite wardrobe space... I was going to keep the boat neck top cos as noodle and gin say, it will be a useful staple, and the neck makes it nicer than other navy tops I have. And the skirt I wore today so is not going back. Cardigan should arrive on Monday hopefully. Was dispatched yesterday but didn't make it up here today...

gin - the blossom skirt looks amazing on you! Such lovely colours, and you have styled it really well with the boots. Shame about the cord dress though. It doesn't look too small - but if you don't love, no reason to keep. Takes note to take own advice . The bloomsbury dress looks great with a belt too.

soy - oh no - not the fur bomber Sad . It looks lovely. Though I suppose you probably can have too many short winter jackets.. (can you?! My coat cupboard seems to suggest otherwise..) Excited to see the leopard skirt, though...

maranello - I've not tried them (sorry - no help) though i do find hush shoes/ boots are really good quality and (at least, almost) worth the cost - so if you like them (and have the social life to wear them - which sadly i don't) they are a bargain at half price.

twosoups1972 · 19/10/2019 23:25

@GinandGingerBeer love the skirt on you, really lovely.

Can someone help me with a jeans/boots problem? So I'm trying to steer away from skinny jeans as they don't really suit a top heavy figure. I love my Gap straight leg jeans (thanks @Laska2Meryls ) and tried them today rolled up a bit with ankle boots. But they don't look right! What am I doing wrong? Is it that style of jean are not meant to be rolled up? Will post a picture in a minute.

Oh and the M&S Hush dupe snake print scarf turned up to be disappointing. Very drab muted colours, more black than blue.....nothing like the picture. And now the Hush one is OOS! I'm going to keep an eye out for a return.

We went to see the new Keira Knightley film tonight - Official Secrets. Great film and I loved KK's jumpers, I want all of them!

Laska2Meryls · 20/10/2019 09:00

Two soups JL have that scarf. Smile

Ellapaella · 20/10/2019 09:27

@twosoups1972 I think maybe the jeans you have are too long in the leg so the turn up is a bit too 'heavy' iykwim. Gap girlfriend jeans are great for this look (I have a pair) and I only have them turned once - maybe look for a shorter leg length?

Sooverthemill · 20/10/2019 09:31

@twosoups1972 I'm not sure about the jeans/boots dilemma. I think it look okay but others may disagree. May be look on blogs/Instagram for ideas? My straight jeans are hemel and not rolled up ( because I'm short and there's a lady in my village who charges £3 to machine hem jeans)

Ellapaella · 20/10/2019 09:33

For example here are mine, Levi boyfriend jeans - only turned up once and not too much length in the leg so they aren't too wide at the bottom if that makes sense.
Tapered leg jeans are really good for this look. Hope this makes sense.

twosoups1972 · 20/10/2019 09:52

Oooh thank you @Laska2Meryls I forgot about JL! Will order Smile

Thank you all for the jeans tips, yes they are quite long jeans....they're fine not rolled up with trainers etc. Do I now need separate jeans for different footwear? Grin @Ellapaella how do boyfriend and girlfriend cut differ? So confusing!

I have about 4/5 pairs of skinny jeans. Must have a cull. I think I'll keep a pair or two for wearing tucked into boots....or is that not fashionable any more?

@Maranello4 I haven't got those boots but may be worth a try? Great price!

Ellapaella · 20/10/2019 09:54

@twosoups1972 it all just depends where you get them from really... for Gap girlfriend are usually a slimmer leg than boyfriend jeans. Boyfriend are also usually a bit baggier around the bum, they are meant to look quite oversized.
