Those M&S ones I had last year were nice and thick and wore and washed really well, and didn't bag at all, Roussillon, I thought a great buy,and wore them with my Meryl jumpers and boots all through the winter .. I will definitely try on the animal print next time I'm in town.

Laska2Meryls · 14/10/2019 20:00

never now I have tried it again .. I think I like the Bloomsbury as well! So I think Iam keeping after all! I still wear my green Ivy .. (or did but to work mainly ,) and of course wont be at work any more!! , - but will still keep it as its a nice easy daytime tunic dress .

I haven't tried the blue /gold Bloomsbury and its oos now in a 8, but i may look for a returns though ..

Ellapaella · 14/10/2019 20:38

@neveradullmoment99 I got the dress in a 10, I'd say it's pretty true to size, not Hush sizing.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/10/2019 20:48

Yeh, I have had a few OB dresses etc in the past and they are all true to size. The 12 is sold out for now anyway. Thanks :)

twosoups1972 · 14/10/2019 20:59

@Laska2Meryls love the M&S leggings but not many sizes left sadly. Do you think I’d need short or regular? I’m 5’3”

Laska2Meryls · 14/10/2019 21:05

this OB skirt is nice Never! Wink .. I can see that with a denim jacket or navy wren ( or Black Meryl and chunky boots) Grin Just step away from the keyboard, Laska..Step away

Laska2Meryls · 14/10/2019 21:09

Two soups they say they are ankle grazers.. I had regular at 5'5 last year .But I reckon you could try the short if they have then in your size ..

Huffthepuff · 14/10/2019 21:37

Hello @Roussillon849 thank you for your kind words about the thread. We've all had our patches of 'no spend' (I was on maternity leave when I delurked) and there's no pressure to buy stuff to be part of the conversation. Just enjoy the chat and pitch in when you feel like it

neveradullmoment99 · 14/10/2019 21:42

Nice skirt @Laska2Meryls but I have bought quite a few - both hush slinky skirts and I have still to wear the purple one and also the teal velvet one. Are you going to buy it? I think you would suit it.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/10/2019 21:44

I also have a pink cord one from M&co bought on an impulse but a button through one knee length [ not worn that] and the M&S brown cord one too as I had 20% off it through sparks.

SoyYo · 14/10/2019 21:46

Laska you may end up having to exchange to XL in the Sainsbury’s bralette. I’m a G cup! A lot of breast tissue to cover up so it’s all nicely encased as in the web pic. And they are very stretchy which is the only reason I got away with it still fitting my relatively narrow back. You being a 36 back but only E cup shouldn’t need XXL and if my boobs were a couple of sizes smaller I reckon it would have been even more nice and snug round the back, anyway try in store as it looks like they also do a fab zebra print and the coloured ones I own.

So are you keeping the dress or not? Lol I’m confused! I have the other one in the gold print coming tomorrow I hope so will report back (in an 8) but I fear it won’t suit me Sad

miffy that sounds like a great haul!! Yes weird about the Felix it just didn’t flatter me sadly which is a shame as it’s fab value for money in the sale and so soft...just our different shapes I guess. Yes tell us what you think of the coated biker jeans (I want!).

soups I had the M&S leopard crop leggings last winter and highly recommend too! They look still pretty new despite numerous washes/wear. I got 12 short and they come to just above my ankle bone at 5’3”

miffy2 · 14/10/2019 22:42

@Roussillon849 yes I will try post a pic, but here is the link anyway.

H&M cashmere

I am thinking along the same lines as you - skinny coated jeans and baggy jumper. The issue is getting a jumper that is not too bulky and has a round neck rather than a high one (menopause!). I hope his one is not too long; I bought another thicker one that looked ideal from H&M and it was too short and boxy so fingers crossed.

I have been living in my Spanx coated leggings that my kids got me last Christmas; so much so that I have the moto version on my list for this year :)

GinandGingerBeer · 14/10/2019 23:00

Welcome @Roussillon849
I'll post some more pics tomorrow on the thread but I need to crop my face out and I'm knackered, some success and some fails and a maybe.
But if anyone is contemplating the Ursula maxi, I love it and it's a bargain for £30 I did manage to get pics without my face

Love it Gin - you look amazing in the dress. Love how you've styled it too.

GinandGingerBeer · 14/10/2019 23:04

The usual "excuse the state of the bedroom" disclaimer applies due to ongoing building/decorating chaos......

Sooverthemill · 15/10/2019 07:58

gin the dress looks fab. Especially like it belted

Has anyone been sent the jigsaw email? They have some really good stuff! I sent back my sale black velvet Richmond jeans because although really nice ( I may look out for further reductions) they aren't different enough from a Boden pair I got 2 years ago. Damn my common sense ( also jigsaw don't sponsor me unlike Hush Hmm].
ella look at their jumpers, I think they some very nice cream ones.
I do love jigsaw. When I worked in Whitehall it was a 5 minute dash to the Covent Garden one in my lunch break and it was almost next to Hobbs. All my work clothes came from them and handbags and shoes. Oh how the mighty have fallen. I have unearthed a wonderful green cord suit which I may try to work out how to wear this winter ( only even more casually than for Friday's which was what it was for).

Sooverthemill · 15/10/2019 08:02

Also, in other news, what about the Booker prize? I'm really going to have to force myself to read the Atwood but looking forward to the Evaristo

SoyYo · 15/10/2019 09:01

I fancy reading the Evaristo book, I think it’s wonderful that this year the judges couldn’t make up their mind and awarded it to two authors. 👌
Attwood is amazing but I can’t get into the Handmaiden Tale yet. So...

Gin the Ursula dress. Wow. Looks fabulous!

Sooverthemill · 15/10/2019 09:18

@SoyYo I used to love Atwood. Read everything by her then I went to a performed reading she did with actors of 'after the flood' and I couldn't get over how pretentious and condescending and plain up her own arse she was. Soured me for ever. Read the Handmaids tale when it first came out and rated it highly. Saw dreadful film. Can't bring myself to watch the TV series quite yet. It has taught me a lesson, namely not to find out anything about the authors I love !

Laska2Meryls · 15/10/2019 09:32

Yup I m keeping the green Bloomsbury dress,. Have decided that I actually love it , Science overall or not !!
Today could have worn it to work but it needs ironing,.. so have my green wide neck top and the sale Hush snake leggings on ..

wildhairdontcare · 15/10/2019 09:57

Hello, how on earth can I just be finding you all?!? I love Hush Kensington dresses, and dream of more long sleeve versions like the current red and black floral.

dontcallmelen · 15/10/2019 10:00

Gin the dress looks so good on you👍🏼
Laska the Bloomsbury is a bargain & will be very useful, go with lots of things as well.

Sooverthemill · 15/10/2019 10:00

@Laska2Meryls good for you! If you love it, keep it.
@wildhairdontcare hello! And welcome.

twosoups1972 · 15/10/2019 10:02

@Sooverthemill I am also a big Jigsaw fan but their prices have just gone silly in recent years. I usually only buy in their sales. Thanks for the heads-up of their sale, I've found a nice cream polo neck top that I'm going to try.

And.....boots!! Arrgghh why did I have to look? Conduit leather ankle boots in red or black suede for half price! They are gorgeous!

dontcallmelen · 15/10/2019 10:03

Yy jigsaw, scuttles off to have a look.
