If you were both considering the ones over £200 - I don’t blame you for absconding!

libertyonhertravels · 28/12/2019 19:38

Did you get DH cotton or silk MrCollins? Wink

Superdry coat looks great btw.

MarshaBradyo · 28/12/2019 19:39

Oh you got them MrC I hope silk Grin

MrCollins · 28/12/2019 19:50

Lib, I knew you would like the 2nd.Grin

more Christmas presents....

One of the clothing presents I bought was this mint velvet skirt. I agonised over this because I thought this mint velvet a line mini version was nicer, but chose the midi because I wanted her to be able to use it for work.

I also bought this whistles animal print dresss*.

This Ralph Lauren sweaterr*.

This Reiss floral blousee*

and white company silk satin pyjamass*.

MrCollins · 28/12/2019 19:56

Marsha and Lib, no for a nanosecond I looked at the £200 ones, realised he would kill me if I spent that much money on boxers and so got the £60 cotton blend jersey ones.He looks good in themGrin

Karcheer · 28/12/2019 19:59

They are all lovely @mrcollins but the PJs are beautiful, would’ve ordered them for myself if they still had them in a small.

MrCollins · 28/12/2019 20:28

Thanks @karcheer. I love those pjs too (as does the recipient!).

libertyonhertravels · 28/12/2019 21:07

Your gift recipients are very lucky MrCollins. The Mint Velvet leather skirts are both great and I love the PJ's too.

I'm trying to find DD a nice dressing gown for her birthday and there is literally nothing available in NZ Shock. Think I will have to order from John Lewis or M&S which means it will be late.

DD showed me a video she found on tube kids the other day about how fashions in kids clothes have evolved from 1910's through to current day. It explained that in the 90's retailers and manufacturers started to push gender differences in kids clothing much harder to stop families handing clothes down and increase sales. I instinctively knew that children's products seem to have become much more gendered since I was child but seeing how this is a deliberate marketing strategy really annoyed me. But I'm also glad that my nearly 9 year old is onto it.

MarshaBradyo · 28/12/2019 21:22

Toys are the same Lib, they’ve become much more marketed to girls and boys. Although there’s lots of cross over here. And I haven’t got dd a cleaning broom etc even though Ds had blue pram, mini hoover and both a kitchen. Don’t won’t her to feel stuck at home with the baby 😂

I didn’t order the boots I put earlier. Wasn’t feeling excited enough about either. I just ordered some different ones which made my heart leap a bit, although they may be wrong for me. Plus Dh will probably have a comment. Here tomorrow so will link.

Oh and pjs because after seeing those nice ones from MrC and Karcheer saying same finally got self into gear as I’m really low on them.

MarshaBradyo · 28/12/2019 21:23

Lovely links MrC I really like the midi, it will look great on you

MrCollins · 28/12/2019 21:25

Do you have a link to the video Lib, that's really interesting? Shame about the dressing gown

Karcheer · 28/12/2019 21:25

Do lanvin no longer do ballet flats 😦

shopafrolic · 28/12/2019 21:26

Love that leather mini. Quite tempted.

shopafrolic · 28/12/2019 21:32

Yes do link the video Lib I’d love to see it.

MrCollins · 28/12/2019 21:38

The leather mini was gorgeous Shop. Would definitely encourage you to have a look, it's made for long legs!

Marsha, the midi wasn't for me, I gifted it.Xmas Smile

MrCollins · 28/12/2019 22:17

A few things I looked at as potential presents but didn't get:

I thought about getting this club Monaco pleated swing top but worried it would make the slim recipient look pregnant!

Loved this Brora silk shirt but knew it wouldn't love me back or anyone in my family!

Liked the look of this Ted Baker dress for me.

libertyonhertravels · 29/12/2019 04:37

100 years of girls clothing

Lots of other interesting looking videos there too.

MrCollins · 29/12/2019 10:11

Really interesting Lib, thank you.

Continuing my Christmas present posts from yesterday, this is what I got for the young women, with a side comment that my credit card said ouch when I handed it over in Lululemon. Never shopped there before:

running pants

techie anti stink tee

sports bra

Not sure how these £15 socks make you go faster!

This backpack was a fail and already winging its way back to the shop. Dh works out so I got him a tee from Lululemon too.

Also got this coach leather wristlet bag.

MarshaBradyo · 29/12/2019 17:22

These arrived Legres.

So far very promising. Very good quality, beautiful colour. Will try on in a bit.

DryWhiteagainW · 29/12/2019 17:53

MarshaBradyo · 29/12/2019 17:59

They’d better do! Last that is. Does anyone wear knee highs in the day? I love them but want them to be a regular wear.

Have fun Dry let us know your outfit.

MarshaBradyo · 29/12/2019 18:03

Tbh they are the most solid boot I have bought

shopafrolic · 29/12/2019 18:16

OMG they are stunning Marsha. I love the toe. And the back of the heel squared off was so good. I wear my LKB knee highs during the day with skinnies and a big knit.

shopafrolic · 29/12/2019 18:17

Colour of them against your wall is ace too Smile

shopafrolic · 29/12/2019 18:17
