Shop did you link the boots? I can’t find but saw some and/or ones online in a blue/black snakeskin, is it those?

My big purchase of the season has been boots too. Have worn my black marant crisi to death but still love how they elongate the leg while still being super to walk around in. They still make crisi but i don’t like re-buying so instead went for something completely different, these common projects. Love that they have a nod to dms but more dressed. They are beautifully made which is hard to convey in pictures.

MarshaBradyo · 06/11/2019 20:51

Ooh well done Mara

I find the Marant ones so hard to walk in for some reason, slippy, still in my wardrobe.

My big purchase will be boots when I find some too. Wondering about Tod’s for a change.

MarshaBradyo · 06/11/2019 21:15

Good work Shop

Oh Mara me too re Max Mara, would love a cashmere one but hmm on price

Karcheer · 06/11/2019 21:32

Talking of boots I wore my Pistols today, I’d forgotten what nice boots they are.

shopafrolic · 06/11/2019 22:28

Mara those boots are fabulous
I ordered the snakeskin ankle boots
I can’t find anything like the GR boots on the High St and TBH think it’s unlikely I’ll get much wear from knee high boots so have paused the search for now in the hope I win the lottery to buy These beauties

shopafrolic · 07/11/2019 06:34

Anyone have any parties to go to this Christmas?

maradesbois · 07/11/2019 09:30

Ooh, Shop that’s a beauty. Would be very tempted if I had an occasion to wear it. Dry, bet you have a black tie do coming up?

maradesbois · 07/11/2019 09:31

And great ankle boots btw, classic with an edge.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/11/2019 12:10

I've got 4 festive events coming up... all being well with the things I've ordered, I've planned these outfits Smile

@shopafrolic the dress is beautiful. I’m going no where at the moment, could swish around the kitchen in it!
@BlairWaldorfLovesShopping I love your outfits particularly the cream and gold... but I’m a magpie.

I’m so torn about the samsoe trousers. They are beautiful wool wide trousers, not like anything I have in my wardrobe. As I’m only 5ft they are floor length in trainers, but they should be cropped. If they were cropped I wouldn’t know how to wear them, I rarely wear heels nowadays...
anyone have anything like them?

VivaVegas · 07/11/2019 16:28

Lovely outfits Blairr very organised.
I love Stories at the moment, bought this lovely bag and top in there. Also got this gorgeous coat.
I have 2 pairs of boots I'm debating over knee length and laced ankle boots. The fact I'm dithering probably means they should both go back!

shopafrolic · 07/11/2019 18:13

Not sure about the trousers Karcheer - i’m the opposite on wide leg cropped trousers, they hang just below the knee on me.
I love wide leg trousers with trainers though - do you feel good in them.
Nice Stories links Viva but the coat one didn’t work for me.
I’ve just Ordered these Spanx leggings They had them on today’s this morning and they looked great. I’m concerned they may be too short for me but can try as I have free delivery. I liked the biker style and apparently they hold you in so I’m all for that!
I wore the M&S blue coat today to go out for lunch with DM and got so many compliments - it’s a **colour for me but I rarely wear it.
And the AND/OR boots are keepers, lovely leather and a good heel height for me.
Mara I thought of you when I saw that dress, for the price can’t you buy and it and organise something? Smile

kittyhello · 07/11/2019 18:23

Viva great Stories buys, that blouse is especially lovely

welcome back Karcheer I too wore my Pistols today, I'd forgotten how easy they are to wear.

Shop very belated happy birthday and I like your new boots, btw I also have that Arctic Parka and its ace. I miss my school run days and am secretly hoping for some really cold weather this winter just so that I can wear it again. Only wear thin layers underneath it otherwise you'll start to sweat no matter how cold it is.

Mara what fab boots, I'm loving all the "tough" Dr. Martin/Grenson boots but sadly I know they are not for me, which is a shame as they look so cool on.

Dry gal dyou're pleased with your skirt, it's very you. Twas only today I was admiring Dec's wife's Disco and her monogrammed Goyard bag

sorry for the Fail link I think I've said it before I like her paired down style and she has a great bag collection Envy

Marv I like your cool dress and trainers, would you wear them together?

Big hello also Marsha Blair Lib Stokey and Apple Queen Lib Blingy

As for me I have zero fashion news, I haven't bought a thing in ages. In fact I've been a bit of a nerd and am spending all my time doing Duo Lingo, hence my absence here. I've become really competitive and am trying to move into the next level but others come along and pip me to the post!

I'm also a member of a book club which reminds me I need to read a Doris Lessing one before the month is out and as for tv I'm not a big watcher but love my annual fix of Engrenage/Spiral on BBC4 i hate it when it comes to an end and have to wait a year for the next instalment.

So what to buy for winter? I fancy a grey coat - very plain something like this:

this style but a light grey

I also need to replace my black cross body bag but want something plain and roomy.

shopafrolic · 07/11/2019 19:15

I had to Google DuoLingo Kitty. Interesting what you say about combat boots, I can totally see you in some with a parka, think you'd rock it.
I seem to have managed to slightly shrink my COS black polo neck sweater that I bought last year so it is now too short in the body and arms for me. Annoying as it is otherwise fine - I think I only wore it twice. Would anyone shorter in the body than me like to try it? Size 12...... Happy to post it on to a Voguette.
So I will need a replacement, and also a new oversized black sweater to replace my old Vince one. I've ordered this one to start with. Will report back.

DryWhiteagainW · 07/11/2019 21:31

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/11/2019 21:55

Thanks Dry, no need to pm, it's previous season Zara via eBay (new with tags) Grin as is the sparkly top which is from boohoo! I am being very environmentally friendly with my "second hand" buys!

Anyway the skirt and dress (H&M) arrived today and both are keepers, I'm so happy Smile love the run up to Xmas!

DryWhiteagainW · 07/11/2019 22:53

OMG Blair I’ve just bought it !!!!!!!

shopafrolic · 07/11/2019 22:54

A sequin dress WITH POCKETS - the holy grail of Christmas dressing right there Dry Smile

DryWhiteagainW · 07/11/2019 22:59

Haven’t bought a dress Shop....it’s a skirt

OP posts:
DryWhiteagainW · 07/11/2019 23:02

Blair where’s the top from?

OP posts:
DryWhiteagainW · 07/11/2019 23:03

Cream top that is

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/11/2019 09:32

Omg yay Dry! It is really lovely and looks more expensive than the original £90 imo. The top is really old H&M! Here's a similar one with short sleeves, it's ribbed instead of bandage material but has the same neckline.

The sequin dress is absolutely incredible. You'd just feel like a queen!

Karcheer · 08/11/2019 11:17

@DryWhiteagainW that dress is gorgeous... but you could buy a car for that money!

kittyhello · 08/11/2019 13:35

Dry did you buy the gold pleated skirt? I bet it'll look fab on.

Shop I tried some Grenson lookalikes on in M&S, albeit a size too big, and they didn't look right - a bit clompy - but could be tempted to try actual Grensons's.

Just saw someone with a lovely black crossover bag at my pilates class.

Gucci marmot it was a lot bigger than I expected and she had loads in it. Hmm, might start adding up Xmas + birthday money + Selfridges voucher = see what the shortfall is. Grin
