You’ve had a fab day Dry
Love those Arket boots
I have the BFF cream - it’s brill, a good contender vs the Erborian one that I recommended to Lib

DryWhiteagainW · 29/10/2019 19:32

Very restrained shopping dry. The skirt is a great buy. Those Jimmy Choes are amazing.

I ADORE those zebra boots shop linked, sitting on hands here.

shopafrolic · 30/10/2019 09:32

These were good too Lib

libertyonhertravels · 30/10/2019 09:44

Be still my beating heart...

Themarvellousmrsm · 31/10/2019 18:33

I'm loving all the animal print that's around atm and some of the earlier links are fab - the And/or zebra boots caught me eye as did those sling back loafers Lib linked (hugs btw Lib)

Well done on the non hat purchase Shop

I went shopping a few weeks ago for boots and trousers and came home with a dress and trainers and shed load of clarins
Zara dress - naturally is longer on me!
MV trainers - I love these and wear them loads

I'm waiting for a Boden order to arrive with trousers and culottes; really fed up with skinnies.

What trousers are you all wearing and with what footwear? I love wide legs but apart from stans and flat sandals/flipflops don't seem to find any shoes/boots that look right.

Waves to Mara lovely to see you back - any new purchases to report?

Am getting very worried all the cute little trick or treaters are going to clean me out of chocolate this evening Halloween Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 31/10/2019 22:08

Are these disgusting or fabulous? (Not me at all....wish I had the guts)

Dry I’m not sure! They remind me too much of those sweets I think

MrsMarv lovely stuff, I’m still in jeans and need boots but will switch to Sorels when it gets colder.

I don’t suppose anyone has watched Succession? I am Shock at it. Incredible!

Themarvellousmrsm · 31/10/2019 22:45

Hmm not sure Dry - look a bit ott but with the right outfit... removing splinters due to sitting firmly on the fence

Am currently working my way through s5 of ' The Affair' Marsha but have downloaded the first episode of Succession so will try and watch. I think you recommended Pose which I loved and looks like s2 is now available too.

MarshaBradyo · 31/10/2019 22:52

I’m reeling from it. Just found a thread about it with rave reviews but am behind on catch up so no one to talk about it with, apart from Dh Grin

The first episode - you probably won’t like them, loads of swearing and ott but my god it’s almost Shakespearean by the end. Loved it.

Themarvellousmrsm · 31/10/2019 22:59

I have a 360 page book to start and finish by next Wednesday so really shouldn't be on mn watching too much tv!

MarshaBradyo · 31/10/2019 23:29

What for MrsM?! Is it book club

DryWhiteagainW · 01/11/2019 07:49

Oh I’m reading “The Familiars” it’s great! Read until late in bed last night, now up early reading in bed again....love a good book.

Didn’t know there was a new season of the Affair. Good news. Will have a look at Succession.

I need a new book, my last was so good i has a break. Will take all suggestions - will check that out Dry

MarshaBradyo · 01/11/2019 07:53

Had

Themarvellousmrsm · 01/11/2019 08:18

Yes for book club Marsha - I kept choosing other books to read then suddenly realised I've less than a week. Am a quick reader and it's the weekend so should manage.

I think we like similar books Dry so will check out yours. Can also recommend The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker.

Don't know if you're lurking Stokey but is your building work all finished now?

DryWhiteagainW · 01/11/2019 08:58

I’m off to the city for girlie lunch but it’s Pissing down and I have to walk to the station.....wondering whether there’s any point doing my hair.

Oh that sounds awful Grin

Poor me.

First World Problems.......we are in the midst of a national crisis but my hair is at the top of my agenda Grin

Thanks for the tip Marvellous I’ve made a note of the title.
Marsha what was your great read?

OP posts:
MarshaBradyo · 01/11/2019 09:04

Haha Dry of course! Also what a pffft not leaving the EU on 31st was. People talked about all sorts of things happening.

Good question, let me think Fark maybe not that good. Ok looking at Kindle buys it was Everything I Never Told You, lighthearted easy I think. Before that 3x Curtis Sittenfeld books, very good. And Liane Moriarty who is great.

Actually I see I tried The Heart’s Invisible Furies which I loathed and couldn’t finish. That made me stop. Must get a new one.

QueenCoral · 01/11/2019 09:43

Hello all!
dry sounds like you’ve had a fab time. And absolutely worry about your hair. I can’t keep up with what happens in Westminster anymore.
Not sure on the striped shoes. Did you try them on?
shop agree with lib, get the neon one. And the boots.

No fashion news here. Still run down after a bad cold and have lost my fashion mojo a bit. Been dressing for comfort too much and need to up my game!!

DryWhiteagainW · 01/11/2019 10:55

Good god NO QueenC they’re not me at all, was just wondering whether I was missing something. Obv not.

Right I have my umbrella ready. Who remembers those transparent rain hoods that folded up to a tiny square that old ladies used to use? That’s what I need Grin
