I've just bought this from M&S and it's the comfiest thing to wear around the house. Do you think I could get away with wearing it out and about as it's classed as nightwear on the website? I was thinking about wearing on a long haul flight in a couple of months' time.

Of course you can. Converse, blanket scarf, big socks.

SpeckledyHen · 07/09/2019 21:13

I wouldn’t wear it in the house or out . That’s because I don’t like the stars and it’s not my colours. However , it suits you then do it .

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/09/2019 21:13

No

hidinginthenightgarden · 07/09/2019 21:16

If it was knee length I would say stick some leggings on and go for it. The length really gives it away!

Bubblesintheair · 07/09/2019 23:16

The length bothers me. It definitely needs to be shorter. Also I think it looks very shapeless and definitely wouldn't flatter majority of figures as even the model is struggling to look good in it!

hotcrossbun4321 · 07/09/2019 23:23

Ooh watching this with interest - I'm tempted to get this for my 48 hours of longhaul flights next month. It would work in business as you have your own bed and roomy enough loo to get changed on the plane

Ohyesiam · 07/09/2019 23:29

Why wouldn’t you?
The worst case scenario is that somebody looks at you and absentmindedly thinks “ her dress could pass as a nighty”.

Milkstick · 07/09/2019 23:46

Someone else is going to beat you to it if you don't and you'll be cursing mumsnet for talking you out of it. (It is a bit long, but I say that as someone who's a bit short. I really want a jumoer dress now.)

Sunshine196 · 08/09/2019 00:02

Yes I would wear it on a flight with leggings. I'm feeling the need to order one. Looks lush.

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 08/09/2019 00:03

God NO!!

FeeFee832 · 08/09/2019 00:04

If it's sweatshirt material then I would.

MissPepper8 · 08/09/2019 10:13

Oh nooo... I thought lounge wear was more top and bottom (atleast what I considered it as). It's clearly a nighty.

Rachelover40 · 08/09/2019 11:23

It's really nice, thanks for posting the picture. I've ordered one! It'll be lovely to wear around the house, loafing about. Definitely not an outdoors outfit though.

Legomadx2 · 08/09/2019 13:46

No way

user1493494961 · 08/09/2019 13:53

No, you'll look ridiculous.

30to50FeralHogs · 08/09/2019 14:01

When you fly business or first they give you PJs to wear on the flight! I imagine you’re supposed to change out of them afterwards but tbh if I’m particularly comfy and I just have to leave the plane, go through security and go home, I’d be happy to wear the PJs outside Grin

If you wear it with leggings and Converse it would look more outdoorsy, and if you pop a belt on it while you’re walking about, then take it off for lounging you’d be fine!

Do it!

LunaTheCat · 08/09/2019 16:43

Oh Thankyou OP - I have just ordered!
Yep I think you could “dress it up” for a long haul flight - converse, denim jacket and big scarf! Or change onboard.
I always wear t shirt dresses with layers long haul.

Lauraloop1516 · 08/09/2019 18:03

After seeing this yesterday, I couldn't resist getting this in M&S today - no regrets! So lovely and soft. However, no - I wouldn't wear it out!

ZaraW · 08/09/2019 18:42

Never in a million years would I wear that to an airport/flight. Some people would like the family at Manchester airport all wearing matching onsies on an Emirates flight.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/09/2019 19:09

Fatface have a plain black sweatshirt dress online at the moment. I'd definitely wear that out. But not this one, not ever.

Sconesat4 · 08/09/2019 19:15

Good God no.

Rachelover60 · 09/09/2019 00:06

I think it would look nice with a pair of big, fluffy slippers. You could wear it in the morning to go to the corner shop and walk back with a carton of milk and a fag Wink.

PickAChew · 09/09/2019 00:32

No, it actually looks like an oversized nightie.
