I've just bought this from M&S and it's the comfiest thing to wear around the house. Do you think I could get away with wearing it out and about as it's classed as nightwear on the website? I was thinking about wearing on a long haul flight in a couple of months' time.

I see women more than men out in night attire all of the time. and automatically think LAZY B`STARDS.

MrsElizabethShelby · 07/09/2019 17:49

Do you know, I'm not sure I would bat an eye at you in this leggings and converse.

I could see a celeb in some designer version of this and everyone thinking it amazing. Like Hayley Baldwin or Kylie Jenner

canyon2000 · 07/09/2019 17:56

You could take it to change into on the plane. People often change into their pj's or loungewear on a longhaul flight.

derryrose · 07/09/2019 17:56

If it was a night flight and with leggings and ugg type boots why not! I quite fancy it myself ...night need a wee trip to marksies

homemadecommunistrussia · 07/09/2019 18:24

It's not so different from this sweatshirt dress is it?

Ellapaella · 07/09/2019 18:25

If you value comfort over style (as in any style at all) then of course you can wear it out of the house. But be prepared for lots of funny looks and a few sniggers. If that doesn't bother you then go for it Grin

bokkleorandoove · 07/09/2019 18:30

I definitely favour comfort over style.

To the pps wondering if I’m being serious - I sort of was (for the airport). Definitely wouldn’t wear it to the supermarket or doing the school run!

OP, get thee to Primark! I am wearing the softest, most comfy fleecy pj bottoms and sweatshirt style top in grey marl. I'd definitely wear these on a night flight.

ScreamingBeans · 07/09/2019 18:46

Not in Tesco's.

RainOrSun · 07/09/2019 18:56

If you were flying business (or first), I'd say you could get on the plane, and switch your top for that, over leggings. I wouldn't wear it through the airport tho.

Hellywelly10 · 07/09/2019 19:04

Its find if you change on the plane.

NoTheresa · 07/09/2019 19:04

No way.

Biancadelrioisback · 07/09/2019 19:09

I would! Pop a belt on and you'll be reet

IncrediblySadToo · 07/09/2019 19:16

Of course you can wear it with leggings & converse on a flight. It’s no longer 1970 where a twin set & pearls is required!

Just make sure you wear something light underneath in case it’s too hot on the flight.

I wouldn’t wear it around town though but if you’re tall and slim it might be ok (I’m short and fat and it would trail the ground getting filthy and on ME it would look like I was out in my sleeping bag 🤣)

notso · 07/09/2019 19:20

It's certainly suitable to wear to run through the town, upstairs and downstairs.
I'd definitely wear it past eight o'clock to rap at windows and cry through locks in.

BringTheBounceBack · 07/09/2019 19:23

I like sweatshirt dresses but this is too long to pull it off tbh!

pegspurplecat · 07/09/2019 19:45

I'm wearing it just now! It's very comfy, but god no! No way I'd wear it out of the house!

ranibowsprimkle · 07/09/2019 19:54

I think if it was a bit shorter it'd look less like pj's.

It'd be fine for flying though. I've seen people wearing miles worse at the airport.

Juog · 07/09/2019 20:10

Definitely yes,but be careful what you put it with, a nice hoodie and some dms would work.

ArDali1 · 07/09/2019 20:12

If it was plain, then I would see it more as a jumper dress, can be worn with converse or stylish boots. Styled a bit with simple accessories.

Miseryisabutterfly · 07/09/2019 20:20

😂😂😂

tiintoon · 07/09/2019 20:34

Yes, of course I would wear it outside. Really don't get being bothered by what other people think of your outfits. I wear an Aldi nighty out sometimes and plain pijama bottoms. I find nightwear usually has the softest and thinnest cotton.

Ambridgedweller · 07/09/2019 20:55

I would n't.
