Sorry! I was in a meeting and dropped the ball.

AppleKatie
I'm so tempted to post a funny comment but it would sooo lower the tone of this thread. Smile

Haha looks dodgy, but I think he was just flicking the blanket out before putting it over his lap.

queenofarles · 08/09/2019 09:11

Didn’t like what MM was wearing, bit frumpy ,

hopeishere · 08/09/2019 09:31

Who are the rest of the people in the Braemar photo??

Don't usually see Autumn playing that sort of public role.

Meghan looked fine. Still post-partum so the dress was flattering. Not sure about the cardi with it but separately it's lovely.

queenofarles · 08/09/2019 09:42

US open is more casual than Wimbledon ,but I Thought she’d wear something more wow!

Wonder the next time Serena advances to the finals and Meghan texts “I’m on my way” what will Serena say Grin

Sconesat4 · 08/09/2019 09:43

Dress ok, but she does have a think for these ties at the waist. Since she is short waisted I think that doesn't look good on her. Don't think the cardigan worked with it. She looked happy and relaxed, but I guess when your every expression is being photographed constantly it must be a strain.

Sconesat4 · 08/09/2019 09:47

I do wonder what the reason for their decision not to go to Braemar is . Definitely not 'too busy' as they claim, Considering M has never been at all, it seems a bit rude. Obviously not because Archie is too young either, since he's not too young to travel to Africa.

BertrandRussell · 08/09/2019 09:49

I read somewhere that Harry never goes to Balmoral. Not sure if it’s true. I would imagine it has pretty grim memories for him.

Sconesat4 · 08/09/2019 09:53

Yes, that's true.

Good point.
I think the summer after Diana died; Charles took him to Africa; and that’s where his love affair with the continent began.

Apparently H&M have been working behind the scenes on their individual projects ( Travelyst and Smartworks) also that African tour is huge; although there is a team organising the logistics, The Sussexes must be organised in the planning, so must be busy.
Would have been a boring weekend with Bojo and the Braemar games.
However, it is a shame they didn’t go up with William and Kate. Whatever that situation is, I hope it resolves itself.

BertrandRussell · 08/09/2019 10:14

I have to say if it had been me, I wouldn’t have been able to resist having dinner with Her Maj and Johnson. I would have been in my private jet faster than you can say “environmental catastrophe”......

evilharpy · 08/09/2019 10:23

I read somewhere that capes were going to be in this autumn and thought it was bollocks. Maybe not.

Like the denim dress, I have a similar one. Less convinced by the cape.

queenofarles · 08/09/2019 10:32

I don’t think it’s a Cape , it looks like a j.crew cardi.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 08/09/2019 10:49

Meghan looks noticeably happier in those NY pics. I'm not getting the love for the denim dress, it's extremely ordinary, but since this is not a work thing I think she's entitled to wear what she likes.

I find it odd that she would want to leave her four month old baby - and PFB at that - for a weekend jaunt and yes I am judging her. I know others will take a different view but that's how I feel.

BertrandRussell · 08/09/2019 10:52

“I find it odd that she would want to leave her four month old baby - and PFB at that - for a weekend jaunt ”
I was wondering when that would start. To be fair, it’s taken longer than I expected.......

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/09/2019 10:56

The denim dress is nothing exciting but it was fine for a tennis match. If she'd shown up in designer gear then she might've been accused of spending too much!

Ninkaninus · 08/09/2019 11:05

I don’t find it odd that she was happy to leave her baby in the care of her father and/or maybe her mother and certainly a very capable nanny. It’s what, a few days away? I don’t see anything wrong with it, either.

Ninkaninus · 08/09/2019 11:08

Sigh *his (Archie’s) father, and her mother (as in Doria).

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/09/2019 11:21

Now if she'd left Archie in the care of her father then that would be a story and a half!

OP posts:
Ninkaninus · 08/09/2019 11:23

Heh yes I thought I’d better correct that quick-sharp! 😆😆

Sconesat4 · 08/09/2019 11:30

I couldn’t have left a four month old baby for a day never mind a weekend, but each to their own...

Ninkaninus · 08/09/2019 11:41

Yes quite. Each to their own. No judgement at all from me - for some people motherhood is one aspect of one’s personhood and identity. and one doesn’t necessarily have to be utterly consumed and subsumed by it.

edsheeranpaidmoretaxthanccola · 08/09/2019 12:24

Ffs she's now being blamed for Serena losing in certain newspapers. They're ridiculous.

I prefer a 'proper' belt on a dress as I don't suit those kinds. I think she looks beautiful.

AudacityOfHope · 08/09/2019 12:25

God, I could have, and did.

Four month olds are extremely boring; add in the sleep regression thing and the fact that they have a nanny? Fuck yes.

veeboo · 08/09/2019 12:41

How do we know she left her 4 month baby for the weekend? Maybe he was 20 minutes away in a hotel?
