Sorry! I was in a meeting and dropped the ball.

You can't really say 'she already saw tennis once this year so why do it again' Confused

It's not like watching a repeat on the tele!

DevonUkelele · 08/09/2019 22:35

Ooh, I like Louise's jacket!

LadyCassandra · 09/09/2019 00:11

Can’t begrudge her a trip home occasionally . It’s not like she’s feeling all the love here is it?
Exactly this. I don’t blame her flying home to be with friends with all the shit she gets here (sorry, there; I’m in Aus!)

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/09/2019 05:14

Not liking Sophie’s skirt. Both outfits are pretty inoffensive , but nothing special.
Louise is very tall, I wonder at what point she will suddenly decide she wants to wear makeup and blow dry her hair. Her parents have done a good job in keeping her youthful and unspoilt.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/09/2019 05:20

Queen Mathilde attempting a Max Style sombrero
Unfortunately I think she doesn’t have the pizazz to carry it off.
The colours and the embroidery on her dress are lovely but the whole outfit is back to MOTB territory.

paradyning · 09/09/2019 06:06

The colour drains her too. She always seems to dress 10 years older than she is.

BertrandRussell · 09/09/2019 06:26

“Her parents have done a good job in keeping her youthful and unspoilt.”
“Youthful and unspoilt”? I wonder about this. She’s nearly 16! I don’t think letting her grow up a bit is “spoiling”her. Hmm

FlyMayBe · 09/09/2019 06:47

Maybe LL likes how she looks and doesn't want to wear make-up and blow-dry her hair?

BertrandRussell · 09/09/2019 06:54

“Maybe LL likes how she looks and doesn't want to wear make-up and blow-dry her hair?”
Of course. But saying her parents are keeping her “youthful and unspoiled” is a bit creepy to say the least.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/09/2019 06:56

Blimey, I don’t want to get into an argument about Lady Louise!
I’m not saying she’s being forced to choose how she looks, but given the rate at which young women grown up, I think it’s refreshing to see a 15 / 16 yo look like one instead of 20.

Wetdogloveshubert · 09/09/2019 07:16

I wanted to see what the fuss was about, so here are some of the pictures from Twitter.

Oops, uncropped second.

I thought Meghan looked lovely at the tennis. She carries a casual style so well. Here's one wedding shot for fun, too.

I get what you mean, @CurlyWurlyTwirly. I think her parents are working with how she is naturally. Some children don't go the "teenage" thing at all, but go straight into adulthood. I think LL and her brother might both be of that ilk.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/09/2019 07:29

That wedding shot is lovely @Wetdogloveshubert, I'd not seen it before.

frugalkitty · 09/09/2019 07:45

Maybe with Louise it's a case of 'you're not going out looking like that young lady!' and she has to take the make up off and change out of her crop top and too short shorts before they go out and about just like with my DD Grin

peridito · 09/09/2019 07:54

beautiful wedding photo of Meghan

banivani · 09/09/2019 09:35

If lady Louise has largely been kept out of the public eye she might have managed to grow up without feeling so intensely scrutinised and criticised for her appearance, and thus feel free to turn up wearing decent clothes and a friendly manner - as it should be!

I think Sophie’s outfit might have been improved by a different top, I don’t think black lifts the skirt that well. At the risk of sounding all trinny and susannah.

BertrandRussell · 09/09/2019 09:36

Louise does go to school, you know!

Labrodite · 09/09/2019 10:15

A cardigan over denim is an odd choice to me – I always find it hard to wear any kind of jacket with my denim dress because the material is so thick that anything over the top of it feels uncomfortable, especially something thin like a cardigan.

Meghan’s hair is gorgeous down! Would love to know what she uses on it.

StarsBright · 09/09/2019 10:29

Something royal to look forward to this week. Meghan’s SmartWorks collection is launching on Thursday and she will be at an engagement to mark the launch.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 09/09/2019 10:31

I’m sure that being among her friends in familiar surroundings must have done MM loads of good, mentally it must be impossible living in the goldfish bowl.

Although I personally couldn’t have left my PFB at that age. No doubt having a nanny and access to healthcare would make it loads easier. I’m sure she will come back stronger for the time away,

BertrandRussell · 09/09/2019 10:59

I do hope she doesn’t wear vertiginous heels for the SmartWorks thing. It would be good if she conveyed the message that you don’t have to.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/09/2019 11:19

I can't imagine her wearing anything BUT heels for the launch!

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 09/09/2019 11:28

No- but I can hope! Nice medium heels- not expecting flats......

BlingLoving · 09/09/2019 12:01

I can't imagine her wearing anything BUT heels for the launch!

Yup, me too. I think she only does flats or extreme heels. Nothing in between.
