AUT19
It was giving 10% off and I think still valid

Thank you cherries! My photos don’t do it justice and I love black so yes I know what you mean, I’ve been after a good Tux jacket for ages and I think this will do me just fine Smile

Soy tis a thing of beauty😍

neveradullmoment99 · 06/09/2019 13:37

Very nice @soyo
Love the dress on you :) I havent worn mine yet. In fact, i forgot about it. I am wearing my toast dress however so at least that is something.
I bought a great perfume from the perfume parlour. Its gorgeous. It might be a bit marmite though as it smells deliciously like old smoking wood and gorgeous sweet undertones of chestnut. It is delightful. I love it. Its a total Autumn winter scent. Its called wood fire. Its so lovely. Buy it!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 06/09/2019 13:39

Its a replica of by the fireplace if anyone knows the scent. I got the idea of it from the perfume parlour thread. Its so lovely!

SoyYo · 06/09/2019 13:45

Thank you never it’s such a lovely dress and perfect for this time of year, it was you that enabled me to get it Wink so yes you must wear soon! The new scent sounds delicious, must give Parfum Parlour a try...

SoyYo · 06/09/2019 13:54

neveradullmoment99 · 06/09/2019 14:44

You look beautiful in it @soyo😁

neveradullmoment99 · 06/09/2019 14:44

I am going to wear it tomorrow😁👍

Binkybix · 06/09/2019 14:58

I love that tux! Maybe I could get it if I returned the (much needed) stuff I just got my little girl Grin

dontcallmelen · 06/09/2019 15:27

Binky 😂 that’s why I’m on the no spend bench, just kitted out dgd for the winter, might come up in the sale at some point🙏🏻

twosoups1972 · 06/09/2019 15:31

@SoyYo hope you enjoyed the first post-op shower! Dress and tuxedo are both beautiful, you look really lovely Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 06/09/2019 15:34

Advice on shoe dying? Anyone done it? Is it colourfast?

dontcallmelen · 06/09/2019 15:37

Never I might be making this up, but I think Ella has done it in the past.

NotAnActualSheep · 06/09/2019 16:03

Oooh soy - you look amazing in that dress and tux! Yes - it is lovely and the dress really suits you even more now you have had it shortened. Glad you are feeling better, and yay to showers... Hope you find getting dressed easier soon.

Realised that I totally fell off the last thread, and this one is already 7 pages in... waves to everyone . I'm totally in love with the socks/ cords/ chunky brogues thing - excellent suggestions ella. I really need to try that look... Cord is brilliant. So glad it seems to be "back" this year (though it never really went from my wardrobe frankly...). I don't have wide legged cropped cords though (laska yours look fab) but I do have some lovely thick cord trousers that are slightly cropped, so will try those with brogues rather than ankle boots. Though I also like the slim calf boots that soover linked to. I have a feeling this could get expensive... (I may also need some better socks).

Though I am also On The Bench for September, so it will have to wait. Boooo. (So never - I need to live through your cord tiered dress, I'm afraid. Please let us know how that turns out - it does look lush!)

laska - so glad you got the Japanese trousers again. I could sense the pain you had in sending them back in the first place! They do look good. And the dye jobs look great - especially the "love" top - the tonal blues work really well. I confess I have been giggling at justi's dye woes, though. It is so difficult to tell what colour things will eventually end up as. I'm with soy - go with fuchsia pillows and a throw, and style it out Grin .

soover - i'm veeeeeery behind the times, but your kitten is so cute. Also love the combo of the "lucky" tee and trousers, and also the beatrice jumper. I'm a big blue fan (I've got that lucky tee too, though I don't "do" slogans...was just so taken by the beautiful shade. It works really well with olive/ sage).

soups - I have absolutely no advice for your DD I'm afraid, but I know you will work with her to get to the best decision for her! It must be such a tricky time - getting to be independent, but still needing support from family...and every decision seems such a major one to make. Though she is still so young, if she does want to have a gap year in a couple of years, or go back to take A levels afterwards, it won't make much of a difference overall to starting out in her career or whatever. There really isn't a "right" way to do things, other than what is best for her at the moment. And there's no shame in changing tack at any point. Clothes-wise, the rocket skirt looks lovely (that was the one never had?) but I agree, no point in keeping if you think the sizing will annoy you. Glad the earrings are a winner, though.

Right - back to spreadsheet hell....

Ellapaella · 06/09/2019 16:16

Love the dress and jacket @SoyYo looking beautiful as ever 💕
@neveradullmoment99 I dyed some leather boots last year. When I get home I'll check my eBay orders to see what dye I used but I had good results.

twosoups1972 · 06/09/2019 17:04

@NotAnActualSheep thank you for your kind words, you speak a lot of sense. I suppose I'm just worrying that after dd being unwell, I want her to make the 'right' choice for her but I can see now there are lots of different options.

She is due to start at the sixth form college on Monday. She has now decided she is going to start there and see how it goes. As she's just studying two subjects and she already has her university place in hand, it shouldn't be too stressful for her. She might apply for a part time job too and look at Camp America for next summer.

It's really chilly here today! I need to sort through my Autumn clothes and see what I've got and what goes with what. I'm definitely going to start 'shopping from my wardrobe' more this year and try and save some money. When I look at outfits online or in magazines etc, I need to stop thinking 'that looks nice, I must buy it' and instead think 'I like the way the outfit has been put together, I have similar items already in my wardrobe'!

@Ellapaella I am really impressed with the no-spend September. Wonder if I can do most of September (bar a week)??

SoyYo · 06/09/2019 17:08

Thank you for all the kind comments! 😘
binky and len I’m pretty sure the tux will be on sale later in the season but I can’t bear to part with it as I’ve been after one for years and I luvvs too much but yes I highly recommend you try later.

Lovely to see you back not

Yes justi and her orange sheets conundrum had me in stitches too! Grin and so for you here’s the pink that I have in mind that’ll look fab with them, some of my favourite “bee” cushions at home.

never I look forward to seeing you wearing your dress tomorrow Smile

SoyYo · 06/09/2019 17:09

Pink to go with orange sheets

The Hushistas flirt with autumn
dontcallmelen · 06/09/2019 17:24

Yy pink & orange, such happy colours Soy I’m glad it makes you happy & believe me if I had the funds at the moment I would be lovingly stroking the Tux as we speak😂
Soups one thing no spend does, is focus the mind & make you look at what you already have, I found soo much stuff that I had forgotten about some still with labels on, I also had a major sort out & even made a list of gaps in my wardrobe & what was needed to pull a together some random stuff I had.
