Yy, it's even more lovely in real life. I kept going back to stroke it. Saw in in their brochure and thought that I had to have it from that too! Grrrrr. Just need to find a spare £200 behind the sofa.

(I'll post photos of the dresses but we were in the middle of clearing out our spare room this morning, so nowhere was free of clutter... and there's no light now. So tomorrow... )

binky forgot to ask, what with the flowery swimming cossie (such a pretty shape) and the viscose question... are you off on holiday?! Where to?

Thanks never

NotAnActualSheep · 22/09/2019 19:37

Bah, posted before finished... thanks for the glasses info I meant to say!

Binkybix · 22/09/2019 19:56

sheep this dress?

Must admit that Toast doesn’t normally do it for me but I lingered on it whilst on JL site. It’s lovely.

I’m going away to Malta in October but might be moving to Singapore so am very interested in summer sales and dressing to live in a sauna for a few years! Not getting too excited until it’s settled though - made that mistake with a previous move that didn’t pan out.

NotAnActualSheep · 22/09/2019 20:06

Yes, that's the one. It is such a nice shape, and the belt is wide enough that it doesn't do that limp floppy mess thing that most fabric belts do when I tie them. And beautiful fabric. Wasn't sure the colours would work on me... Don't usually do rust/yellow at all, but they are really nice and muted.

Cor, Singapore sounds like a very exciting move! My DM used to live there when she was a new teacher and we went to see her old haunts when she turned 60 (nearly 20 years ago...actually. Eeek, that's scary). Was such a great place, but yes, sauna is the word. Air con was definitely my friend. Though Malta will be great too, even if just a holiday. I think October is a really nice time to go away. Not as boilingly hot, and not as busy.

NotAnActualSheep · 22/09/2019 20:07

And yes, I've definitely overused "nice" in that post...

Ellapaella · 22/09/2019 20:25

Not that cardigan is beautiful! There's another thread about it on S&B at the moment. Such a great colour for autumn.

dontcallmelen · 22/09/2019 20:25

Lovely dress, does anyone else start a running commentary & imagining a love story gone horribly wrong when they look at the models face especially with the one just looking vacantly into space or is it just me😳

Ellapaella · 22/09/2019 20:50

Can't say I have Len... Grin

Laska2Meryls · 23/09/2019 08:50

I am expecting stuff today !! so just getting back on the thread..
not oh that cardi so yummy!! ( it will be in the sale I reckon though..) . I dont have any social life not !! but if the trousers are lovely I shall waft in them at family things.. and around the house

dontcallmelen · 23/09/2019 09:02

Ooh Laska is it the toast stuff? You can do wafting very well I reckon.
👍🏼

NotAnActualSheep · 23/09/2019 09:18

Lol len! I do know what you mean... Like they need to be out on a Moor somewhere, pondering the futility of existence.

laska yes to wafting, but if I wore them at home I would splodge tomato sauce on them, and get covered in cat hair. And I would also run the risk of looking like a sofa. Probably safest not.

You are right about the cardigan going in the sale I'm sure, but I want it NOW. Stamps foot. Honestly, I think it is probably worth the cost... Really good quality wool, much better than eg hush knitwear which can be over £100, and would last aaaaaages and could be worn like a coat as well as a cardi. Also it will keep me nice and warm in our brexit bunker. But I'm just baulking at the cost. Didn't even spend that on my wedding dress....

Anyway, attached are the denim dress and ikat dress, which are veritable bargains, considering...

And the fabric of the ikat dress. It is beautifully made and lovely colours.

Not yy definitely on a moor somewhere, ooh looking good really suits you, Im so hoping that cardigan will go in the sale I just can’t spend two hundred quid on a cardigan, well I probably would if I could lay my hands on the dosh😂

Nanasueathome · 23/09/2019 09:38

I’m excited now
Waiting for my Ikat dress to come

Ellapaella · 23/09/2019 09:41

On the thread about that Toast cardigan there were some nice cheaper alternatives suggested, one of which was This which is absolutely lovely - the dress it's styled with is first on my list to try once my no spend September is up.

Ellapaella · 23/09/2019 09:41

Lovely dress @NotAnActualSheep

NotAnActualSheep · 23/09/2019 10:04

Thanks all! Yy, that is very pretty, ella and the dress is stunning. Was really the slate colour (v v dark greyish navy) I was attracted to. And the gorgeous soft alpaca/wool mix.. though there is a bit of polysomething in it too, so I can't be too purist. Didn't see the other colour in the shop, and I'm not sure it would suit me. Big blocks of oranges/rusty reds and browns make me look like I haven't slept or washed for a few weeks... I need a pinker base to reds/browns. Wish I could though as it is beautiful, and would really suit autumnal colouring. Also, could you link to the cardigan thread if you can find it, please! I fancy having a drool over oversized chunky cardigans.

Ellapaella · 23/09/2019 10:32

Just shared it on the what's app as I don't know how to share links on here!

NotAnActualSheep · 23/09/2019 10:36

You're a Star. Thanks so much!!

Ellapaella · 23/09/2019 10:37

If it's any consolation alpaca is really itchy!

SoyYo · 23/09/2019 11:46

Not I love love the denim dress on you! And the Ikat fabric is truly lovely too!
You made me laugh with the Toast model musing about the futility of existence...in a Moor Grin
Glad I’m not remotely tempted by the cardigan though, it’s funny to me cardigans and jumpers are just a necessary evil whereas give me velvet, silk or leather and I’m just lost in longing...

Love your Joules bargain scarf too Huff and the print on your swimsuit Binky

Fingers crossed for Hush today Soover I thought cherries pic suggestion sounds hopeful

ziggy I have the red Kensington in a 12 and it's generous on my 34G chest, I could have sized down to a 10 tbh but like the relaxed vibe. I’m slightly Apple shaped post menopause and all my Kensington dresses look great on as the shirred waist gives an illusion of shape and because I’m top heavy I love how they “balance” me out. Check on Hush site first thing in the morning for returns.

twosoups1972 · 23/09/2019 13:24

Another Kensington fan here, it is a truly flattering dress. I sized down to a 10 which is good on me (34F bust)

Gorgeous Toast cardie, want one! Wonder who is going to cave first!

Now, to keep or not keep these Jigsaw boots nabbed in the sale for £49.... but really don’t need any more boots. But on the other hand, most of my boots are black so would make a nice change.

Not you look fantastic! Really love your Toast dresses, particularly the navy one with blouse underneath. You are looking more and more like a Toast model! It really is the perfect brand for you. Let us know if you give in and order the cardigan. My Toast stuff has arrived. Velvet tank is gorgeous but quite short. May have to layer a vest underneath. I love it
Burgundy dress I'm less sure on. Definitely needs a belt. Love the fabric though

Laska2Meryls · 23/09/2019 15:49

not I am so tempted with that Ikat dress, what size did you get and is it true to size or come up large do you think ?
with my norks i could need a 14 or ( or even a16 sadly . )

Laska2Meryls · 23/09/2019 16:24

Sadly Hush boyfriend jeans not good, the e 12 fit but the legs are just not baggy enough for bFs I think, I cant kneel in them comfortably and they have no give either so going back, but love the suede baker boy hat !
