Hello all waves. Fell off the thread again, and then it was moving so fast I couldn't keep up!! Anyway, I've enjoyed reading through the past 20odd pages
and love the photos and links.
never I absolutely love the crops on you, and can vouch for the quality of the cord! It also washes really nicely and doesn't need ironing (which is fortunate, as I Don't Iron). I have (I think) the other style of trousers in the toast sale in the teal green, which are great. Though I think toast trousers are on the large side in the hips compared to the waist, which obviously doesn't work for everyone. Also love the pink and leopard bias skirts and think they would be great for "dressy" occasions if you don't want to keep the dry-clean velvet.
Am astonished at the quality of your glasses too. I've been wary of trying something like that online, esp without trying on, but given the cost you can afford a bit of a risk! May try a second pair given mine cost about £450 last time (v strong and v uneven prescription!) and Im not paying that twice
.
soover what an absolute pain on the shirt mislabelling. I've had that before too (not hush) and it did get sorted out by customer services as they know it is a bit pants and makes them look unprofessional. Hopefully hush can help you tomorrow.
huff beautiful scarf! Love the green colour. I need to have a sort through my scarves for autumn/winter. I know I have loads but can never find one I want when looking for it... (also, need to pay a visit to TK Maxx if they still have the becksondergaard ones...)
soups I agree, the bag lady sounds like a right scam. Probably hanging around part of London where she knows it wouldn't seem too unusual to bump into someone. Definitely a CF. Glad you didn't feel guilty and give her money there and then out of embarrassment (even £20 or whatever) ... which is probably what she's after.
zippy can't help on the Kensington I'm afraid (is it also oos on John Lewis?) , but I think it is pretty universally flattering!! As the waist is shirred, it sort of creates a waist even if you don't have one. Go for it if you can, I reckon.
Anyway, I have totally failed at no spend September (ella and len, I am in awe!). I was doing so well, and then toast had a mini sale, which you must know I'm not going to be able to resist. Damn you toast. Thought I would try to see things in the flesh, so I went to the shop in Edinburgh, but they didn't have anything I was after in the sale. But I did buy a dress and some fecking socks for £19, and was so close to getting this cardigan in the slate which is the softest, fluffiest thing in the world. But they only had it in small and I'd have wanted a M or poss L to get really oversized. And it is mortgage levels of ££££ so I saw sense. And then I went and ordered the ikat dress online anyway which came yesterday and is beautiful.
I have no self control. Waaahhhhh.
laska huff and soy, really looking forward to seeing the velvet trousers/tops. They look so lovely and luxurious. If only I had the social life....
