Need to catch up with the thread, but first a quick question: is 100% viscose sweaty?

I might need some very warm weather stuff soon and normally just scrape by in the UK

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 13:45

I daid i wasnt buying glasses today. They handed over my prescription. They were fine about it. You are under no obligation to buy glasses from them. It was easy.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 13:46

Honestly, i have always felt obligated but this time i thought no. They make so much money from glasses and it costs pennies to make them.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 13:48

Once you have your prescription you key it into your choice of glasses, then you can work out you PD (pupil distance) its easy. After you just select type of lense and buy and thats it.

ilovecherries · 21/09/2019 13:53

binky, I don’t find viscose sweaty at all.

ella, the optician is actually obliged to supply one free copy of your prescription so if they haven’t, I’d go back and ask for it.

I used goggles4u as they were very cheap. There are a few you tube videos and trust pilot review are very positive. Obviously its a bit of a gamble as not like glasses direct [ another online supplier] you cant get a trial of them so I suppose you need to just go with it. The v-trying thing is pretty rubbish on goggles so its just a chance. It was my older ds that had a pair of glasses and told me he had bought cheapos online!! So I decided to give it a go.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 14:36

Glasses direct are still cheaper than opticians but dearer than goggles. As @cherries says its worth going back for your prescription and giving it a go! Mine are just standard lenses in the sense of prescription but they do varifocal etc. I have no idea about how good their varifocals would be but I will try at some point!

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 14:37

@binky, viscose generally isn't sweaty. It can feel like silky cotton.

twosoups1972 · 21/09/2019 14:47

Hi all, @Laska2Meryls I was exhausted just from reading that! Hope all goes well, I second the Wine

dontcallmelen · 21/09/2019 15:45

Taybert I saw that hoodie it’s a good price would be worth giving it a go especially compared to the ££ hush one.

The shoes dont match the skirt as its heavy but its a bit boring? Its like straight up and down and it does have a split at the back but its not that exciting. The material is nice though. As for the crops, gorgeous colour and quite comfy [when i get used to the high waist] My dd thinks they are nice. What do you think?

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 15:59

Sorry t-shirt is a bit scabby and not the best but i couldnt be bothered changing. Its a tad long.

dontcallmelen · 21/09/2019 16:01

I like the crops never they look really good quality, but not sure if it’s the way you are standing they look a little big on the bum/hips or it might just be my bad eyesight! The skirt again is nice but not sure you love it enough to keep?

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 16:03

They are strangely big agree. Just at the pockets. Better pic?

@taybert delurking to say I wear loungewear as normal wear all the time. I have a robe thing which I wear all the time as a coatigan, a couple of t shirts and am currently sporting a slouchy jumper over leggings, the jumper is loungewear.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 16:05

I think they are a little wide on me. Even although they are reduced £60 still need to be pretty good so think that the skirt and the trousers are going back.

Ellapaella · 21/09/2019 16:07

I love the crops Never. Can't really see the skirt too well but looks lovely.

@Ninkaninus I have just PM'd you x

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 16:07

..and when i just put my moritz on they sit so neatly and are much better on me I think. Shame. I couldn't size down because of the waist.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/09/2019 16:09

Thanks @Ellapaella. I will wait to see what the general consensus is :)
