I’m really liking that style of dress at the moment - I can just throw it on and not give two fucks about how i feel about myself and/or my pasta belly (have lots and lots of good days but still the odd bad day where I miss the younger very slim ‘me’ and don’t really want to draw attention to the specific lines of my figure), but I still look put together and as if I’ve made an effort.

Am lusting after leather skirts, comfy jumpers, jumper dresses, wool capes and beautiful boots. Oh and a tweed coat I saw the other day. And a new bag or two.

Must. Not. Spend (Yet).

Need to get eBaying again and see if I can build up an A/W fund.

This is the itinerary for the 2 next weeks, if you have any good suggestions for survival they will be most welcome:

Tomorrow : DF and DB (single 50's,) , they live together, DB has never left home and they are now like an old married couple since DM sadly no longer with us..and possibly DS, . We will have a bbq and DF has informed us this evening that he has bought what sounds like half a pig to contribute!!

Sunday: MIL and BIL arrive for 4 days .. (luckily both are easy).. roast chicken and making apple cake, planned , then we shall see..
Mon, Tues , weds.... DH is here so I shall eave most to him, I shall be in office Tue sand weds
Thurs lunchtime, they all get the ferry at midday , I have the house to myself..(no doubt I shall be tidying and washing bedding- despite the fact that I am actually working at home , so I hope the boss wont have much for me to do ..

Friday: DGS (6 ) arrives after school and also DS for weekend .. ..we shall be doing the usual, , country park, swimming and madly on the floor playing lego all weekend.

Sun pm: take DGs back to mummy

Monday 1 week on: Phew!!!!, a day off,

Tuesday 1 week on.. work and pack for Portugal

Weds 1 week on.. Ferry, travel and hotel Gatwick,

Thurs 1week on Fly !! ..

I will survive...

I’m gradually filling baskets all over the place and waiting for payday though I might take the plunge with some sale stuff before then.

I too had seen the hush hoodie and thought it looked quite nice then rejected it on the basis of the price. I had a look round and found this woolovers one which is similar though apparently loungewear? Maybe it’s be a bit lightweight but otherwise it’s merino/cashmere and I’m not sure I’d spot it was only supposed to be worn in a lounge. I’d probably give the matching trousers a miss if I was wearing it outside mind.

Taybert the woolovers one dos look nice, I have had some of their cardis before and they are good quality. I might put that on my list !

Well, I am gutted. My hush jersey shirt arrived today and they've mislabelled it as a S when the inside label says M and no wonder it's huge on me! I've emailed them as I want them to send me the right size one now and me return it when DH is back from his holiday ( he went early and is back mega late Sunday 29th. Do you think they would? I cannot get out of the house until then and don't have anyone I can ask to go to the post office. I'm ridiculously upset about this ( and the prospect of being alone for 9 days...)

You can try Hush CS by phone or mail to see if they’ll do it but usually they don’t refund or replace till the returns is in but your circumstances are so unusual it’s definitely worth a try provided you won’t be even more upset if they said no...

Well ALL my parcels came. I had about 4!!! [ will catch up later with everyone but wanted to post while I had a minute]
So here is the low down.
Wide leg cropped cords in a size 12. Ordered the green and blue.
Blue are very dark almost black. Lovely cord material. Totally fit on the waist for me. There is just a little something about how they fit on the hips for me. They are a little baggy. Now I remember trying these exact ones at Christmas last year and not being able to do the button. In that respect I am so happy!! I will try again [ would opt for the green] and maybe post later as im not sure if they look a bit odd.
The velvet trousers - to big for me. Far too much material on the leg and bunch around the waist. These were a 12. I may have got into an 8. @soyo, correct choice for you as you have slim hips. I think they will be lovely on you and @lasksa you too. Definitely size down. The velvet skirt is beautiful and perfect in every way but I'm not sure I love it. I think it might just be a bit boring? I will try on with shoes/boots/brogues etc. I re-ordered the size 10 in the pinky purply hush skirt. The 12 looks better on me imo [ strange as I have the 10 in the leopard] The leopard material is undoubtedly thicker though. I will however most likely keep the 10 as I am dieting so no point in it being overly baggy in a few weeks time.
So that's the low down. Will post pictures later as I don't have the time to spare atm.

Oh and my new glasses came today!! Fan-bloody-tastic!!! I will never EVER buy them at a shop now. Going to purchase more!!! The frames were £6.95 and lenses were the dearest part at £20 odd pound cause I have a high prescription and wanted thin but all in they came out at £30!!!!! and with postage £35. So will be ordering more and more and more. I see a wardrobe of glasses now lol....

The place I ordered was goggles4u. They are based in California but they come in about 10 days so not that different from a normal optician. [well specsavers!!]

Must admit I’m increasingly getting fed up with the mad sizing from most shops, it’s helping my cc balance though because I can’t be bothered with ordering multiple sizes/sending back waiting for refunds.

How do you get the prescription for the lenses @neveradullmoment99? Wish I'd known before I forked out £350 for my new Tom Ford Glasses 😱

@Ellapaella you should a,ways get a copy of your prescription from the optician. Or they have to give it to you ( possibly only if less than a year old). You add in all the various numbers to your order and you are sorted. I used a UK place and also phoned them because terrified. My glasses are expensive because variafocal but the lenses I had put in an old pair were less than half the price the optician would have charged.
