I think I am incurable on the S&B front ... two days into being 'good'aand freaking ut about my bank balance and I am already missing getting parcels.. and Jigsaw have sent me a voucher and I found myself nearly ordering these this morning..
and then there nearly was this bag I saw in M&S yesterday ....

I had to give myself a good hard slap..

I just went and paid off the money for the bologna holiday off my CC and looked to see whats outstanding ( I have several refunds in the pipeline)..its not much (less than £100) , but I am giving myself huge talking to ..

FFS I am about to had in my notice!

and its all gone quiet again on the inheritance front, I thought we'd made a breakthrough, on the other arty seeing sense, but seems not

Also sneaked in prairie dress to see. I would not wear with the shoes (frumpy with it) but cba to take off! Don't think im keeping this dress as the length is a bit meh and its very £££ but i would definitely purchase in sale.

Its a 10 for those interested. Its slightly big on the shoulders in the sense that it droops but the dress is a good fit otherwise. Its a beautiful flattering shape that skims but its 100% viscose and no lining and for the price apart from the lovely print is really overpriced even for Toast.

and looking at the picture it needs a little heel because of the length which isn't a problem as I have a few shoes that would look good with it. Also have some nice calf slim fitting boots.

never shoes are gorgeous, dress looks fine & the print & colours are lovely but if you are not feeling it for the money then maybe grab it in the sale agree though would look good with boots or a slight heel.

Youre fine @melen. I do really like the dress and its much nicer than in the picture. The shoes do it a disservice tbh! It needs a little height. Its just really expensive and the fit and the print are good but I just cant see how it is worthy of the price tag really. I have ordered a few other things including a black superdry wool coat so wont be keeping it all and if somethings to go it may just be the dress!

Although I have to say its super comfortable and even although viscose its very silky and nothing at all like hush viscose that can be crispy iykwim.

If you notice I fastened the shoes up wrong [left one] and couldn't be bothered to fix it in the pic! Have fixed now. These shoes are really generous. I have them in a 5 and have quite often need a 6.5 or a 7 but these are still roomy in a 5. I couldn't size down though.

never that’s the trouble isn’t it, when something feels nice/drapes well but you baulk at the ££ maybe see what else you have ordered you may keep/send back then weigh up costs & see if it’s worth keeping maybe.

never they are lovely, must admit I’m quite glad they don’t do my size otherwise I would be sorely tempted.

never those are such nerdy shoes in a really good way if that makes sense? Love them and I actually love them paired up with the dress, it kind of brings the femininity of the big blooms down to earth. Great colours for us with Autum colouring too 👌
FYI I’ve ordered the slinky Hush skirt similar to mumtoadancer in Cerise just now (was totally enabled and forget no spend September ) so expecting it to arrive Sat or Monday and will take a pic/report back.

and soy did you see this Hush Clarissa skirt on BA? . It was a bit 'out there' a year or ago when it was first on hush , but is right n trend now and definitely 'your' colour!

I have been a bit quiet. Tbh, I am really stressed at work. Honestly, I wish I could just give it up. What on earth could I do? The problem is I am only have my teaching degree and I feel I need to move on for my sanity. I just have no idea where to go from here. So I feel its getting me down.

@soyo, I also ordered the slinky skirt. I like the animal print better but all that was available was the 10 in that so ordered it and the purplely pink one in a 12. Most of the reviews say that its true to size so fully expect it not to fit in a 10. See, I told you that I have ordered way too much!!!

Its very interesting to read about solovair actually. The started out in partnership with Doc martens. They both developed the air cushioned sole in the 1950's. They were sold for over 30 years under the dr martens licence and were labelled dr martens by solovair [sole of air]
Tbh, they are MUCH better quality than DM's and are lined inside with the softest leather. They differ in the fact that unlike DM's they are hand made. So history lesson over!

Aww never really sorry that are so stressed from work, it a horrible feeling. It’s very hard sometimes to see the ‘wood from the trees’ when you feeling so stressed I bet must be loads you could do, maybe sit down a write a list of what you really enjoy doing/what you would like to do & have a think about how that could work, easier said than done though when you are feeling demoralised & mood a bit low😘
