So in fact after all that faffing all I have bought this month is the £35 M&S mustard puffa jacket..

dontcallmelen · 18/09/2019 11:29

Mumtoadancer yy what others have said, also would work with navy or dark denim I think it’s lovely definitely keep & yy again so lovely to have a bright colour in winter.
Soy she had her doctors kit & was checking me with the thermometer & telling me I was very poorly & needed a 100 injections😂

dontcallmelen · 18/09/2019 11:32

Laska you definitely need to polish that 😇 you can always reorder the Clark’s boots if you don’t find anything in Portugal, was just thinking yesterday if you had sorted the birthday trip ooh Bologna is lovely amazing architecture will be fab.

mumtoadancer · 18/09/2019 11:39

I've just spotted this one in the sale which is cashmere and cheaper, I'm tempted to order it and see if it is slightly less neon?

@justilou1 I know what you mean about hiding behind dark clothes, I work from home and don't see anyone all day, I can get into a routine of wearing comfy dark clothes all week and I'm trying got make a real effort to wear my nicer things for no other reason than it makes me feel better.

SoyYo · 18/09/2019 11:41

len bless her! How you could keep a straight face Grin

laska I’m super impressed! Why you’re practically a saint returning the Clarks shoes too but I can see the halo will become tarnished again soon enough in Portugal Wink and well done on booking the 60th birthday trip!
Now I’m so taken with mumtoadancer leopard/bright top combo that I’m tempted to try myself! Blush I totally love it but yes I know I can wear neon colours...I’ll have to sit on my hands till there’s a discount on but to me the possibilities are endless!

Laska2Meryls · 18/09/2019 11:41

Hope so len . Have you been? DH took me to Florence for mine and I am hoping that he wont think it too samey, but I know that he wants to go there.. I did condsider other things and places like Berlin, (or Strasbourg by eurostar) but its February!! At least we may have a chance that it may not be too coldor snow in Italy .. wet maybe,. but Florence in December was actually warm when the sun came out..

SoyYo · 18/09/2019 11:42

Yes mumtoadancer! The Frieda cashmere is totally fine to replicate the look 😍

mumtoadancer · 18/09/2019 11:51

@SoyYo Ive ordered the Frieda, I'm hoping that it is slightly less neon than the original.

It should be here tomorrow or Friday and will I report back

Thank you everyone, this really is such a lovely thread!

Sooverthemill · 18/09/2019 11:55

@mumtoadancer I think the combination is lovely and you should have a go. If you end up not wearing it I'm certain you could sell it on. I'm now tempted by the red one. I have the leopard star on red jumper from last year which is the same colour and I love it though getting a bit bored of the star now ( so may sell on). Having been a bit meh about Hush's new season offering sim now sorely tempted by the stuff they seem to have dropped in recently . A shame as we are having someone in to decorate next week so don't really have spare cash.

@Laska2Meryls @SoyYo Portugal is beautiful and I love it! I am also desperately missing 'abroad'. Haven't been able to holiday anywhere since DD became ill and I'm currently green with envy at eldest DD who is in Antibes

dontcallmelen · 18/09/2019 11:57

Laska yes went a few years ago, it’s I think called the red city due to the buildings & has the oldest university’s in Italy(I might have made that up though) tis a fab place & food is brilliant you will have a great time.

dontcallmelen · 18/09/2019 12:00

Ooh Mum that Frieda jumper is lovely yy wearing nice stuff just because I have been trying to do the same otherwise it’s such a waste things sitting in wardrobes/drawers, enjoy wearing it👍🏼

Sooverthemill · 18/09/2019 12:02

@Laska2Meryls I've been to Bologna and it may well be my favourite Italian city ( not been to Venice though). Love the red architecture and the galleries and the food is amazing. Really lovely, we went in January I think and it was lovely

twosoups1972 · 18/09/2019 16:27

@mumtoadancer both the skirt and jumper are fab! I can see what you mean about the jumper being bright but it would work well with black as well as other colours already suggested. I’m now tempted by the red one! And the skirt is lovely, very versatile.

twosoups1972 · 18/09/2019 16:32

@mumtoadancer the Frieda jumper is lovely and a great price. Be interesting to see how the colour differs.

@dontcallmelen awww your DGD is a sweetheart. Hope you’ve recovered from all those injections Grin

twosoups1972 · 18/09/2019 16:54

Bother. I’ve broken my no spend September with a purchase of Tamsin jumper from Baukjen 🙄

dontcallmelen · 18/09/2019 17:24

Soups if it makes you feel any better, I bought a completely unneeded bone china teacups/saucers/side plates/cake plate, milk & sugar bowls for fifteen pounds from a local charity shop purely because it’s so pretty. I have no idea who I would have round for afternoon tea😂

twosoups1972 · 18/09/2019 17:45

I’ll come @melen I love afternoon tea 😂

dontcallmelen · 18/09/2019 17:49

Soups will bake a cake, let me no when you are free😍

Laska2Meryls · 18/09/2019 18:04

Great can I come too? Will bring dainty sandwiches and savoury tarts ( I always like the savouries best in an afternoon tea Smile

oh and can we make it a Prosecco tea?

twosoups1972 · 18/09/2019 18:12

👋 to @laska I’ll bring scones/jam/cream Grin

@dontcallmelen can we see a picture of the china please? Sounds like a bargain

dontcallmelen · 18/09/2019 18:21

Ooh yes more than welcome Laska we could drink Prosecco out of the cups, will take a picture in a while Soups

dontcallmelen · 18/09/2019 19:57

Picture of my totally unnecessary purchase

justilou1 · 18/09/2019 21:19

@mumtoadancer - I bought a neon pink bias cut satin skirt last week. (Heading into summer here) Not sure if it’s me, yet.... It’s on the still thinking about it pile. I’m not convinced it’s worth spending that much on polyester.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/09/2019 08:44

I would love to see the pink neon satin skirt if anyone is up for posting pictures of it?

neveradullmoment99 · 19/09/2019 11:26

Well just received my gorgeous and I mean gorgeous brogues from Toast. They are lovely. Gorgeous colour [burgundy]and non-clumpy so delighted. I sized down to a 5 and they are perfect if anyone is interested. They are pricey but think they will last and last.
