I was in John lewis @laska and have to say that I really don't get the mint velvet love. I quite liked some of their tees which I would consider but I really hate a lot of the fabrics they use esp their crispy polyester. I have received tons of catalogues and most go in the bin except for hush and Toast!

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 11:18

Still waiting on my hush order to be despatched and I have emailed them with my annoyance.

dontcallmelen · 12/09/2019 11:22

I got a pavers catalogue today, crikey they have really really fugly shoes & boots, don’t think it will make break no spend.
I like mint velvet jumpers have some nice linen mix ones & keep meaning to try the jeans as they do a shorter length, not had any of the dresses though.
soups go for the interview & see what you think, they are good to work for & if you get a permanent post the staff discount is very good & definitely a culture of progression, my dd worked for Waitrose’s for quite a well & she loved it.

Sooverthemill · 12/09/2019 11:35

never when did you order? I was a little bit sad when all the postman brought me today was my charity Christmas card order!

Laska2Meryls · 12/09/2019 11:45

never actually Ive not seen any of the new MV stuff IRL, . and yes i am often disappointed in their fabric, but the catalogue does look fab I have to say.. I particularly like the look of this jacket but yes it is 72% polyester , so maybe not that good ..

Laska2Meryls · 12/09/2019 11:50

soups good luck for interview. My SIL works for JL and so did Dh' s aunt , its a great company to work for . SIL goes on lots of their private hotel breaks, and discount is great.. I keep telling DH he needs to get a p/t waitrose job now he has retired!

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 12:04

I ordered on Tuesday but its not even been dispatched yet. Hmm I am used to receiving my things the next day!
I might just return out of annoyance!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 12:05

That is a gorgeous coat @laska. I didn't see that in JL.

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 12:09

Good luck with your job interview @soups :)

dontcallmelen · 12/09/2019 13:07

Laska my dd went on a couple of those breaks, were brilliant Yy I keep saying to Dh once he retires, should enquire at Waitrose 😂

twosoups1972 · 12/09/2019 15:09

Hello necklace and dancer Smile I am also mum to a dancer (well two actually!)

Interview done and dusted, it went ok I think. Really want the job now, I know about the fab perks including up to 50% off theatre tickets. My theatre mad dd2 is egging me on Grin

mumtoadancer · 12/09/2019 15:37

Thank you for all the lovely welcomes, I will try and be brave and post rather than lurk from now on! I have bought quite a lot from Hush over the last couple of years, lots of it because of these lovely threads.

Two soups, two dancers in the family must be exhausting one is enough for me! It must a never ending round of classes and travelling etc.

The next day delivery option is back on my account but only as a paid option (£12 - I'm sure it never used to be that much?) I still don't have my Hush Friends free delivery back - does anyone else?

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 16:00

@mumtoadancer I am going to check mine. I actually got a dispatch email but I don't understand why if its a warehouse issue they need to send it by snail mail. Its clearly been sent by RM slower than usual. I smell a rat. Maybe its costing them too much?

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 16:01

Yeh, I am the same. That isn't friends delivery. £12!!! Not a chance.

Laska2Meryls · 12/09/2019 16:06

£12 for next day? !! Shock.. ill go look at mine..
Dune brogues arrived , they are also too narrow! ( have I suddenly got fat feet or something?) ..
But TBH they are just not as nice as the Clarks ones , v stiff hard leather, and sort of flimsy.. so going back..

..

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 16:08

which Clarks ones did you get? Was it hamble oak? I have 3 pairs of those [ Aquired years ago though]

Laska2Meryls · 12/09/2019 16:09

Yup £12 here too, it used to be £6.99.. they are taking the p*ss

No Hush friends sadly Sad

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 16:09

Love these Geox ones too

Geox

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 16:11

I think its costing them too much. Issues with their warehouse is sod all to do with taking a million years to send it and then sending it by snail mail.

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 16:12

Actually no it is to do with them taking ages to send it. That I can appreciate but they should have sent it premium since we waited already. That pisses me off.

Laska2Meryls · 12/09/2019 16:12

no the Sharon Noel ( not brogues as such) ,in black. They are really nice ( but the Clarks website photo doesn't do them justice IHO.)

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 16:23

They are nice. like flatform brogues. What colour did you get?

Laska2Meryls · 12/09/2019 16:28

i got the black but the Gunmetal are nice also, I tried those in the shop

dontcallmelen · 12/09/2019 16:45

Ooh never I like those & they do small sizes as well.

neveradullmoment99 · 12/09/2019 16:50

I think the Geox ones look really nice and very well made @melen
