Im not so sure that they are doing that well atn ( along with lots of other businesses sadly) But their offering is v samey atm and there is lots of competition (not to mention Fuxit challenges )

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2019 12:05

I agree the autumn stuff isn't very exciting but I got a good cardigan and a cord jacket which seem nicer than other retailers and haven't found a nicer cord skirt online

SoyYo · 11/09/2019 13:45

They must be having an IT gremlin today with all Hush friends status as I tried to order soover skirt just to see and on checkout no friends delivery option (I didn’t order just to see). Now I ordered and kept a lot from the sale plus Tux jacket, Kensington red dress and v neck wide top from new season too so I think it’s a momentary bleep?

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2019 13:51

Well I'm hoping they will reply to my email. I haven't had the follow up email to say they are processing the order. Usually comes a few hours after the one to say they received the order.

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2019 13:53

And unless I get the free postage I always buy from John Lewis as they are faster and have longer returns window

twosoups1972 · 11/09/2019 16:53

That's so annoying, I still seem to have free premium delivery but maybe it won't last.

@Sooverthemill that's a good idea about JL. Hope the skirt is nice.

I'm at a bit of a cross roads work-wise. I have a job interview tomorrow for a Christmas temp at John Lewis! My current job is only one day/week and tbh, although I trained to do it and it's quite an unusual job, I'm not really enjoying it that much. I feel I SHOULD stay though because the training course cost me money and I've only worked in the role for about 4 years.

I've worked for JL before as a summer temp when I was a student and have always been a big fan of the company. Dh thinks I'd be bored being a sales assistant but I thought if I got my foot in the door, it might lead to other roles within the organisation.

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2019 17:02

I love John Lewis and when I worked there briefly in the 1980s I really liked it. I know lots of people who started in very part time jobs and progressed up. They are a good company with a solid reputation for caring for staff. Take the job twosoups and see what happens. If you don't enjoy what you are doing now even if you trained for it, life is too short ( although obviously you have to pay the rent)

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2019 17:04

twosoups my DH was contemptuous when I took a very lowly job at English heritage one summer while in between 'proper' jobs. My argument was it was decent money, flexible hours, in a beautiful setting and with a really nice bunch of people. I really enjoyed that summer!

twosoups1972 · 11/09/2019 17:12

That sounds like a lovely job @soover Smile

I do agree that life is too short for doing something you don't like. Anyway I haven't got it yet! It's an interview and group exercise tomorrow.

mumtoadancer · 11/09/2019 17:31

Long time lurker here, I've never been brave enough to post!

I usually have Hush friends status but it disappeared on Sunday, I have emailed and this is the reply I have received.
Hopefully everyones is back to normal soon too

Thank you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately we have had to temporarily remove all our next day delivery options from our website due to an issue with our systems at the weekend. Our warehouse is currently inundated with orders from the weekend that they are treating as a priority, so in the meantime we are only offering standard delivery to all customers to allow some leeway.

Your hush premium delivery will be reinstated soon.

In the meantime, we do apologise for any disappointment caused and appreciate your patience.

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2019 17:47

I got the same email

So what a pain but at least it's not a personal rejection!welcome mumtoadancer

theresamaysnecklace · 11/09/2019 17:57

I didn't know if I should post on the hush thread or start a new one so forgive me...

I just ordered the amie leopard joggers and they've arrived but somehow seem different to my other amie joggers I've got in black navy and grey. I see they are also listed completely seperate this in the website too...are they different or the same does anyone know?

dontcallmelen · 11/09/2019 19:13

Welcome Mumtodancer don’t be shy we are a really friendly lot.
theresa can’t help I’m afraid sure someone will be along who may be able to shed some light.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/09/2019 19:58

It is very annoying although agree, at least its not a personal rejection and thanks for posting. They should have put some explanation in an email to everyone. Maybe they should offer a 10% off or some compensation. I placed an order for the ivy in the pattern and that was yesterday and its still processing. Kind of disappointed its not going to be here for a few days.

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2019 20:01

never I thought so too and a bit disappointed as we have booked a sitter for Saturday night and I was hoping to wear the skirt. With 'friends' it would definitely be here on time. Never mind

ilovecherries · 11/09/2019 20:10

necklace, I have both the leopard and the plain, but from last year. Tbh at that time I would have said the leopard was better quality and they have certainly washed better. They used to be £5 more expensive in the print (don’t know if that is still the case), which would have been why they were listed separately, I guess. What differences are you seeing?

neveradullmoment99 · 11/09/2019 20:45

@soover, when did you order yours? I am hoping that mine comes on Saturday as I ordered it yesterday. Yes, it is very annoying. If it takes until Monday I will then be at work and wont be able to collect it until Thursday which will totally annoy me.

Ellapaella · 11/09/2019 21:07

They've been very slow with returns as well. I had ordered two Ziggy jumpers in a small and a medium, I returned the small ages ago. RM tracking says sit was received by the Hush Warehouse on the 4th and I still hadn't had a return confirmation or refund today. I phoned them and they did it there and then, said they'd been really busy the last week.

Sooverthemill · 11/09/2019 21:23

never I ordered a jacket on Monday which the order email said I'd get by 16th which I didn't twig at the time and the skirt today. Hush is usually reasonably fast even just with free not premium but as the email said, if they had tons of orders over weekend to get the discount code they may just be behind.
ella I ordered a handbag first day of discount code which was absolutely dreadful quality and returned it the same day It arrived and I still haven't had notice they've received it back. I'd like my £99 back really as soon as possible!

neveradullmoment99 · 11/09/2019 22:20

Really, if they cant cope with that many orders then why the hell offer a discount deadline that would inevitably have an influx of orders. They really need to up their game. Also 'unfriending people' which is what It seems like is hardly keeping your customers loyal. In the recent hard times we are going to face with Brexit, they should be trying to keep their customers.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/09/2019 22:40

..and also is it right to pass on your warehouse issues to your customers?

justilou1 · 12/09/2019 04:35

Sounds like Hush need to hire some new staff and get their proverbial together.... their customer service is a bit hit and miss from what I gather!

Ellapaella · 12/09/2019 06:58

Compare to Boden who refund without question, return turn around is around 2 days and you can return items up to a year after purchase!

Laska2Meryls · 12/09/2019 11:05

I have received new Mint velvet catalogue..... if any of you do also just throw it away unopened .. Ok? ..Don't say I haven't warned you ..Grin
