No way did they go hand luggage only. Not unless they have someone who stocks them a ‘balmoral wardrobe’ and it’s left there.

BertrandRussell · 28/08/2019 09:51

I assume they have clothes at Balmoral, surely? I certainly would! My dd lives in London but has “country” clothes at our house......

lavenderandthyme · 28/08/2019 10:02

M and H apparently had Sunday lunch in a pub ! So much for all this privacy they apparently so desperately need.

BertrandRussell · 28/08/2019 10:04

“So much for all this privacy they apparently so desperately need.”

Maybe so much for the bollocks talked about the privacy they apparently need?

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/08/2019 10:04

My comment was meant to be tongue in cheek, as the tabloids spin everything into evidence of a feud between the brothers, and I wouldn't put it past the Mail or Sun to actually use that angle if she was pregnant. To be clear - I don't think Harry meant any harm by his "Two, maximum" comments and I doubt William interpreted it as a dig! Anyway, moving on...

How frequently do they go to Balmoral?

Wouldn’t the kids grow out of their clothes fairly often at their ages.

I expect when they buy clothes, they buy a few if each and have some sent to different houses. Not exactly frugal but let’s skip over that as it’s Kate....

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/08/2019 10:06

Good on them for having lunch at a pub. And £15? Bargain!

Grin Apparently they “snubbed” the royal family by not going to a pub called “The Duke of Edinburgh” but another one next door.....
QueenOfTheAndals · 28/08/2019 10:09

Balmoral is just for the summer holidays isn't it? Christmas and Easter are Sandringham. The estate and castle are open to the public in early summer - has anyone been? Balmoral seems somewhere where you can really get away from the world. Probably why HM is such a fan, though not sure how future generations would view it.

Why assume the luggage they are carrying with them is their only luggage? That is their carry on luggage, I would think. They may have checked in suitcases earlier which no traveller would carry to the plane themselves, that is what baggage handlers do. When my children were their age, their cuddly toys they must have with them at all times would more than fill those carry on bags!

queenofarles · 28/08/2019 10:11

Probably their staff travel with their luggage in advance.

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 28/08/2019 10:23

I assumed too that the children’s carry on luggage is just for the plane. My kids carry similarly sized bags when going on flights stuffed with all sorts of favourite ‘must haves’.

Leti and her daughters, all wearing Mango. Once again, I want an adult version of Infanta Sofia's dress!

It looks like those photos were taken after church on Sunday. With the Michael Kors dress and her updo

pinkladyapples · 28/08/2019 11:57

Leti and the girls look great. Love their style

pinkladyapples · 28/08/2019 11:58

Oh no CPV Confused

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/08/2019 12:00

It looks better on CPV than the model, but that's about the kindest thing I can say! Perhaps in a different colour it wouldn't be too bad - I hate mustard.

OP posts:
beanaseireann · 28/08/2019 12:25

I loved the literal dressing of CPV at the Junior Swim Awards.
I too dislike the mustard dress. The model looks like she should be appearing in The Handmaid's Tale- very puritanical looking.
Ir looks better on CPV.

AudacityOfHope · 28/08/2019 12:35

CPV Shock

Brutal.

FiveTwoFaster · 28/08/2019 12:46

I reckon Harry giving a speech at Google Camp about climate change can be genuinely considered a lecture in the truest sense of the word.

Don’t see anything wrong with Princess Eugenie liking her parents and saying so either! And Loganair has free checked in luggage as the plane is so tiny.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 28/08/2019 13:12

I think the kids are wearing clothes they’ve been photographed in before, for the outward and return journey quite deliberately, so that the photos look the same as ones taken previously, so have less value.
George wore thé Hennés t shirt and shorts for the regatta thing andCharlotte the tartan dress for her birthday portrait.

A listers who don’t to be photographed wear the same boring clothes ( eg Madonna in tracksuits when she lived in London) and probably Kate in her skinny jeans and Breton tops.
It’s the Z listers who change their clothes 10 times a day, in the hope that they’re papped.

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 28/08/2019 13:18

The kids will be photographed regardless. So it’s been done to piss of the media? Is that why Kate dresses in costume type clothes and frock coats too?

Not sure what to think. They sell pictures. Some might say it’s part of the job. Although it’ isn’t the kid’s role so fair enough I suppose.

UrsulaPandress · 28/08/2019 13:20

Snorting at the idea of Kate getting pregnant to deflect from Andrew.

batshit

AdaColeman · 28/08/2019 13:43

I love the idea of Kate getting a bun-in-the-oven to deflect the heat from Randy Andy! Grin Poor Kate, that would too much dedication to The Firm even for her!

That mustard sack is awful, when wearing it you would have to keep on the move, or someone might think you were a sofa, and sit on you.

hopeishere · 28/08/2019 13:52

I think Kate looks a bit dressed up for a flight but the kids look fairly normal to me. Bags either in checked in or send ahead by road. Doubt they have a second wardrobe in Balmoral as (a) it's not their house and (b) there are so many guests / vistors it wouldn't seem practical.

I wonder when William is king if he will still do a long holiday at Balmoral.
