Registry office wedding . Just us .wasnt going to bother with a wedding dress , just a new outfit but saw this online for 42 quid and fell in love . Arrived today , it’s resllyptetty , it fits , but it isn’t white as it looked . In fairness it’s described as antique vintage lace . I should return it shouldn’t i ?

I really like it (what I can see of it!).

Haggisfish · 15/08/2019 09:53

I think it looks lovely.

PutYourBackIntoit · 15/08/2019 09:54

It's gorgeous!!

MakeLemonade · 15/08/2019 09:54

It looks lovely - obvs a full length shot would be easier to see properly. But it’s your wedding, if you love it, wear it.

regularbutpanickingabit · 15/08/2019 09:54

Can't see too much of it but it looks gorgeous! Why return it? Do you feel good in it? Do you feel happy in it? Will it make the day feel special? Will you feel happy looking back at pictures in it? Is it an excuse to buy new shoes??!! Then wear it!

happystory · 15/08/2019 09:56

Looks lovely, why does it need to be white?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 15/08/2019 09:56

Looks very pretty and a nice fit. I’d take off the wee bobbles at the neckline but that’s just my taste.

Have a bloody brilliantly day!

picklemepopcorn · 15/08/2019 09:56

It's a beautiful dress for £42. You can wear it, feel fabulous, then wear it again elsewhere.

Cherry321 · 15/08/2019 09:57

I think it’s lovely. If it fits and you like it then keep it. Congratulations!

ShirleyPhallus · 15/08/2019 09:57

It’s gorgeous

Congrats

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 15/08/2019 09:57

Or dye it even. I’m a mucky pup so can’t really wear white clothes (more than once)

LaurieFairyCake · 15/08/2019 09:57

It's fantastic. Did you want white?

It's so elegant.

AudacityOfHope · 15/08/2019 09:58

It looks absolutely gorgeous but I'm holding out for a better pic out of sheer nosiness Grin

Ninkaninus · 15/08/2019 09:59

Why does it need to be white? If you love it, wear it!

thefootofourstairs · 15/08/2019 10:01

Really ? Probably because I was expecting white but the fit and style of the dress I love . I thought perhaps it sort of looked like it has been in a nicotine filled old house for 30 years lol . It looks more yellow than the demure white on line .

I’m struggling to take a pic of myself . It’s too long also , but I knew that and intend to shorten it . I’m 5ft 1 . This is suppposed to be a midi dress but almost ankle length on me !

OP posts:
LaurieFairyCake · 15/08/2019 10:09

Oh no, the colour looks deliberate and not nicotiney at all !

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 15/08/2019 10:11

It looks lovely OP, but please give us a full length pic so we can see it in all it's glory!

Congratulations by the way!

There's no reason it can't be long for the day, then shortened and perhaps dyed for later occasions.

BenWillbondsPants · 15/08/2019 10:19

Oh I LOVE it. Don't you dare send it back, it's really pretty and you should feel special on your wedding day. I hope you have a really lovely day.

AudacityOfHope · 15/08/2019 10:21

It's glorious ❤️❤️❤️

whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 15/08/2019 10:21

I love it op! I think the vintage style wouldn't look so nice with modern, bright white lace.
And congrats on the wedding Flowers

QuaterMiss · 15/08/2019 10:22

It is very pretty and fits beautifully. I wouldn’t shorten it - you’d interfere with the logic of the embroidery! Just try it with different heights of shoe to find the ideal match.

surlycurly · 15/08/2019 10:24

Stunning! I adore it just as it is and I quite like the length too!
