Hi all, I've been following the tribe group on Facebook for a while but just wondering if anyone here has tried it. I can't seem to get to the bottom of what they advise, seasons etc. Is there something similar closer to London. And she keeps advising chunky trainers, is this a thing now?

Why take issue with genuine customers reviewing the service? which is what alot of this thread is about. Sadly there appears to be no other way of giving constructive feedback or the feedback actually being taken on bored so potential customers are having to do their own research for honest reviews. Which is what started this post in the first place -someone asking for others experiences. No company has 100% over the moon customers so it is disingenuous to make out this is the case. And if the people who have posted on this thread have not had good experiences but still choose to follow/engage with SBS then whats the issue? I have had problems with Amazon in the past but haven't gone to the extreme of cancelling my account & removing the app from my phone.

Parentinglark · 06/03/2020 17:13

From the fact you are advertising a recent link on the FB page makes me think you are either one of the fb pages admins or someone involved or close to SBS. Which if true is really disingenuous as again you are not acknowledging feedback or giving a rounded view of the service. Again why have such issue with people sharing their experiences?

Unmentionablesandfluff · 06/03/2020 17:26

Mumlifethereality is followed by styledbysusie on Instagram so appears to be an established SBS cheerleader

As @parentinglark has pointed out, the Facebook group is for those who rate SBS highly and no negative feedback is allowed. It’s only suited to those who’ve drunk the Koolaid and are punch drunk on it. If you want to be truthful or have had a bad experience, realism is not acceptable.

I saw her tattoo post today and felt quite cynical after a moderator upset my friend when her post was declined.

Unmentionablesandfluff · 06/03/2020 17:30

Looks like Katholl with her one single Mumsnet post in a styling pickle seeking an online stylist must have solved her problem, as she’s not been back since.

RequiredUsrname · 06/03/2020 17:31

There is a post on the group that has been allowed by admin. I forget the details but basically the person mentions that having a post declined made her cry. Admin have responded heavily as a lot of other women have mentioned their similar experience. Admin keep saying "We are doing our best here" which frankly comes across as very defensive. However I felt it was a step in the right direction!

RequiredUsrname · 06/03/2020 17:34

By the way I think the SBS ladies, they come across as genuine and I think they are just failing to find their way in the the minefield that is body positivity! I like their style and ideas 🤷‍♀️

Mumlifethereality · 06/03/2020 17:51

I have no relationship with sbs whatsoever apart from being a client (who has never met susie or any of the team). I've made no comment on anything anyone has said on here about the business as that is nothing to do with me.

I just commented because I can't understand why anyone would follow a business that they feel has wronged them in some way or haven't offered a good service.

Yes I am a huge fan of sbs because my own experience has been nothing but positive. I am only sharing my feedback too!

TowelStripes · 06/03/2020 18:20

I've just gone to read the post about having a cry because admins didn't approve a post and it's gone.

outofyourhand · 06/03/2020 18:37

@Mumlifethereality Of course you're only sharing your feedback. The difference, however, between you and a lot of women on this thread is that you have been 'permitted' to do so on Instagram and Facebook because your feedback fits the SBS mould. Others have been silenced or accused of not 'being kind'. Hmm

People still follow brands and individuals who they don't have wholly positive experiences with. There's really nothing new or scary about that.

Lumene · 06/03/2020 18:59

I agree with Required. It is hard to strike a balance between shutting out unpleasant and in constructive comments - and genuine, useful feedback that could improve the service.

It would not be difficult to update, proof read the generic wording in the documents and add some professional pics. Then a read through of the pack for any inconsistencies. It would improve the brand and customer service instantly at relatively little cost and effort.

Shutting down feedback completely won’t work well in the longer term.

RequiredUsrname · 06/03/2020 20:31

I've just gone to read the post about having a cry because admins didn't approve a post and it's gone.

I'm pleased to say it hasn't Smile I checked and it is waaaaaaaaaay down the page now, is it because they turn commenting off after a while? Anyway, I'm glad it's still there.

SBS people: if you are reading this please try to take the advice. I like your ideas and ethos, it just needs updating and tweaking. I want your group to survive and I was absolutely going to buy one of your analysis but the points on here do make me put that on hold for now. I do want you to succeed because women need this positivity Daffodil Please review your complaints process!

TowelStripes · 06/03/2020 20:41

I can't find it! I put it in order and got back to yesterday's posts before I saw that one. I even searched cried. Could you PM the link@RequiredUsrname?

RequiredUsrname · 06/03/2020 20:43

I literally have no idea how to do any of that from the app! It was posted yesterday at 20:21 if it helps? Lots of links to the shrub website and pictures

RequiredUsrname · 06/03/2020 20:44

Sein not shrubConfused

TowelStripes · 06/03/2020 20:52

I've got it now. Shame they've turned the comments off but good they've left it

unluckyagain · 07/03/2020 19:46

I'm so frustrated. There is a woman who has just posted on Facebook wearing various outfits who says she is an Autumn Hourglass. She's a lovely, attractive woman but she is absolutely not an hourglass shape. I can't tell from photos whether she's an Autumn but I'm not sure about that either.

TowelStripes · 07/03/2020 21:01

Yes, she's clearly a pear! I thought the same. You can see her figure in the tighter dress!

Ellapaella · 07/03/2020 23:36

Yes she's definitely a pear... very obvious in those photos.

SpeckledyHen · 08/03/2020 07:04

Is there a definition of hourglass shape on SBS ?
I had a style day with House Of Colour years ago and lots of measurements were taken . I was 37 , 24.5 , 37 and a pretty obvious hourglass ⏳ to look at . But is there an official way to define shapes by measurements?

GraceBelly · 08/03/2020 07:17

I want to see! I cant see the stupid boxes theyre talking about accepting. Will they know if you screenshot and post here?

GraceBelly · 08/03/2020 07:19

Shoulders and hips equal by an inch or two difference ok and waist like 7+inches smaller

MabelMoo23 · 08/03/2020 07:51

That stupid sunglasses story is doing the rounds again!!!! The Mirror put in on their fb page on Friday even though it’s from last summer

Her PR manager clearly getting stories rehashed again. It’s hardly a slow news day at the moment!

outofyourhand · 08/03/2020 08:23

I noticed that, @MabelMoo23. I'm just waiting for the claim that she's trying to inject some 'positivity' into the news at the moment.

Notredamn · 08/03/2020 09:06

The sunglasses story is ridiculous.

FlasknTea · 08/03/2020 10:22

I so agree with comments about feedback. I was so annoyed with my analysis and the typos and the wrong eye colour. It's shabby and not professional. I feel better having shared it here. Feedback is an important concept in ANY form of communication. Susie needs better PR advice IMHO. I think the women who do well with their analysis are quite fragile, have been in a bad place, etc. This is not a judgement as we can all be fragile at times but I've noticed a real pattern. Those who are already quite style savvy and want ideas or are in a rut might have different expectations. However it seems on this thread that there are quite a few customers that haven't been happy. First rule in marketing : a happy customer will tell three people but an unhappy customer will tell ten. Do the maths Susie. Your business deserves better publicity! And I say that with kindness. I love the service, Susie seems engaged and engaging. She can do better than this.
