I look forward to September and the change in weather move to autumny clothes.... I don't know why but I really, really fancy some super leather cowboy boots... plus pinafore dresses :)

I’ve been really enjoying following this thread and now I’ve sorted through my endless parcels and decided what to keep I’m feeling pretty sorted for autumn.

I love a classic, heeled knee boot and these are stunning. The photo doesn’t do them justice, they are a gorgeous conker colour and the perfect balance of fitted and slouchy shape:

I also love a cardigan and this is so pretty:

This skirt (and top it’s pictured with) the shape is really flattering on me and perfect for work:

Baukjen skirt, with pockets!

This thread has also inspired me to revive my Alice Temperley cape. It’s quite lightweight although very easy to layer. It’s years old and on a cost per wear basis has been an excellent buy

Can I borrow your wardrobe @BangingOn Grin

Notmyrealname855 · 06/09/2019 23:03

De-lurking again to say you’re all incredibly dangerous to a healthy bank balance - I’ve never bought so much stuff! (And returned quite a bit... do we all buy online?)

I’ve just ordered three tops on Whistles - all on sale! Big hopes for the yellow one...

Especially like the dark green one @Notmyrealname855. Don’t worry- I’ve spent & returned a small fortune too

LuxuryWoman2018 · 07/09/2019 12:02

Yes I’m liking green too, I like olive colours on me.
I have a big jumper gap in my wardrobe and could do with an evening bag as my non existent social life is picking up a bit.

happytobemrsg · 07/09/2019 12:38

My 2 mock neck jumpers from &OS just arrived (beige & pistachio). They feel lovely & soft (& actually quite expensive) but are a lot more cropped than I expected (God knows how cropped the actual cropped version is). Luckily my black jeans are high waisted so they look fine. I’m a size 10 & bought XS. The pistachio seems a bit out of my comfort zone colour-wise so I’ll make sure I wear that one first.

My Next faux leather leggings arrived too (thanks to another thread) & they look fab - my first ever coated jeans. DH in particular loves them 😂 perv

In even better news, I fit in my very stretchy pre-pregnancy black jeans this morning! Whoop!

BarrenFieldofFucks · 07/09/2019 13:19

I just received these lovely jumpers from Seasalt. I'm a 16/18 at the moment so wasn't sure about the roll neck, but quite like it. They're quite slouchy and woolly which is nice.

Also some boots. They have small heels which I'm not sure about though...

Has anybody got any good inspiration for a backpack that'll contain a laptop (MacBook air) and looks quite sleek and cool? I keep bouncing between Roka London, Knomo, Herschel Supply and Fjallraven Kanken and cant decide. I really need something that's quite neutral but keep getting pulled in by jazzy colours (particulaty knomo as they all seem to be cheaper when you add colour). It won't be used a lot and would love something that doubles up for the gym/travel etc. Any ideas? Ideally sub £100.

EnidButton · 07/09/2019 16:59

Just popping in to say the j crew cape unfortunately doesn't really suit me. I think it's too bulky so maybe the smaller size would've been better. I'm just a big triangle in it. Grin

Anyway I'm sending it back on Monday, so if anyone's still wanting one in S/M, keep an eye on Asos from Tues/Wed. onwards

OllyBJolly · 07/09/2019 20:02

@Ellapaella What do you think of Woolover- what's the quality like? I've been getting Facebook ads and quite tempted by a few pieces.

TheGirlWhoLived · 07/09/2019 20:11

I am erring on the side of very skint but I’ve just bought a couple of additions to my autumn wardrobe.

I might’ve made a mistake with a khaki long sleeved play suit, but I think I’ll put it with some boots, maybe a light grey Chelsea, and black tights and it should look good! Late to the paperbag trend but flatters me and I just liked the lobster tshirt Grin

My favourite is the deep green coat though- I have green eyes and bottle green works well usually so am excited to receive! from oasis

Ellapaella · 07/09/2019 20:14

@OllyBJolly they are very good quality. Mine are about 6 years old now and still in excellent condition. All I would say is that the neat jumpers come up quite small so size up if you don't want them too snug.

LemonAddict · 07/09/2019 21:10

@cheesenpickles
I got this last week, it’s made of silicone - very sleek, wipes clean, it’s available in some neutral colours too. Fits a MacBook Air no problem!

happytobemrsg · 07/09/2019 21:45

@LemonAddict I love that!

BangingOn · 08/09/2019 19:57

@MulberryPeony you certainly can Grin although these are definitely the edited highlights. I’m finally coming out of the fog of the pre-school parenthood phase and back to paying attention to my wardrobe and investing in proper clothes again.

Lovemusic33 · 08/09/2019 20:23

Has anyone found any nice dresses for shot ass people like me? I’m 5”2 and find everything’s too long, I want a casual dress that I can wear thick tights with. Also tempted to order a boiler suit but not sure if I can pull it off 🤣

Also looking for some nice mid calf boots, brow with a slight heal (to make me look a tiny bit taller).

LuxuryWoman2018 · 08/09/2019 20:27

TheGirlWhoLived love that coat, great choice.

TheGirlWhoLived · 09/09/2019 10:58

Thanks LuxuryWoman! Hoping it won’t be too long though. If you do find anything good LoveMusic I’m also a teeny 5”1 (and a half...) so looking for above knee dresses is often tricky.

I quite like the look of the M and S boots here but not sure how red they come up. Hoping for more of a burnt darker colour than ruby

LuxuryWoman2018 · 09/09/2019 11:28

I’m not so keen on those boots because of the heel, I prefer a plain heel personally, but I did take a look at their buckle boots and wouldn’t mind seeing those in the flesh.

TheGirlWhoLived · 09/09/2019 13:51

Mmm I’ve ordered them as there’s 20% off at the mo so will see what they look like on. I’m not adverse to a small block heel, we’ll see!

LuxuryWoman2018 · 09/09/2019 14:04

I was hoping they’d have more knee boots but there’s little choice at the moment. I quite like a small block heel myself it’s more the colour of the heel but I’m probably being daft, I hope you love them when they arrive 😊

cheesenpickles · 09/09/2019 15:02

Oooh @LemonAddict that's pretty. I went a bit more masculine in the end and found "the one"

It's from Herschel Supply Co, 23l black and brass rucksack. Thought it would be huge but it's the perfect size, fits my laptop and has plenty of room for everything else and a key clip so I don't lose my keys. Grin

LuxuryWoman2018 · 09/09/2019 17:35

I really like that cheesenpickles roomy enough for a night away? I mean pyjamas, clean top, minimal makeup and wash things. I sometimes do a one night hotel stay after a theatre or concert show and hate lugging my travel bag around.

cheesenpickles · 09/09/2019 17:48

Absolutely. I travel a lot for my job and I would easily be able to like all that in.
