I look forward to September and the change in weather move to autumny clothes.... I don't know why but I really, really fancy some super leather cowboy boots... plus pinafore dresses :)

So glad i missed the cape links and love as I find it impossible to resist a great cape!

I’ve bought a pre-loved Burberry Wool/cashmere scarf which is probably going to be my only purchase this month. Later in the year I’m looking to get a red crossbody bag to tie in with it. Also need some Chelsea boots, and will likely wait til Black Friday sales for both of those.

Lusting after so many things, though. Every year I want a burgundy/maroon leather skirt but I always resist because there’s always something else I’d rather spend the money on...

LuxuryWoman2018 · 05/09/2019 17:32

Burgundy, yes every year I look for patent burgundy boots, another thing I have in my minds eye but never see the perfect ones.

Atalune · 05/09/2019 17:47

Well, I have had a small spot of good luck, I got a cheque in the post for £100!

I bought some white trainers, will post a pic when they arrive.

misery Those leather trousers are v naice! I wasn’t sure about the idea, but I love how they are not super skinny. They look great on you.

Which scarf did you buy @Ninkaninus? I bought their bandana scarf - I have been admiring it for ages.

&OS order shipped today so will hopefully be here for Monday. DH has been making comments about the number of parcels we have had delivered which I have been ignoring, but then 3 yea old DS1 said “not another parcel mum” in an exasperated voice this morning when something arrived... maybe I should make this parcel my last for a while!

Ninkaninus · 05/09/2019 18:13

@happytobemrsg it’s this one. I really wanted the classic cashmere in camel but my budget won’t go that far this year so I’m postponing that, but I thought this would be a nice stopgap purchase in a similar vein.

God I love that coat. Presumably it's Burberry. I seem to love most of their coats. Can't afford them.

But I have managed to purchase The Cape! Spotted this pic on Pinterest so went on a cape hunt again and the J Crew one popped up on ASOS. Had to get S/M so hoping it's not too big.

My Uniqlo jacket is coming in handy this morning. Brrr!

Ninkaninus · 06/09/2019 11:15

Yes I need another cashmere jumper this year too.

Would also love a navy or black pea coat. Really can’t decide which.

happytobemrsg · 06/09/2019 11:36

That’s gorgeous @Ninkaninus!

Lovely jumper @AshleighJHale. I have one cashmere jumper but I think I stretched it when pregnant 😡 would love some more but I’ve spent so much for my autumn clothes I really can’t buy anything else. Maybe for winter??

Ninkaninus · 06/09/2019 11:39

Yes I’ll wait til Jan sales for cashmere as i don’t really feel the cold til Jan/Feb. I’ve got a couple already, just looking to add to my wardrobe.

Leftielefterson · 06/09/2019 11:47

I’ve always coveted a Burberry trench, the fit is just so flattering but I don’t like the obvious branding of it.

@cathyandclare you will love it I’m sure. I wore mine yesterday, with a midi blue check skirt, I felt very Cher Horowitz from Clueless.

nin - I bought a burgundy leather as an investment a few years ago and whilst it was £££ Since I’ve worn it regularly my cost per wear has considerably gone down. It’s a good piece for a casual outfit with a jumper and then dressing it up with good jewellery and a cami.

Wore my cape on Tuesday (misjudged weather back home) and was stifling, probably best to leave it to a cold day.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 06/09/2019 14:04

The weather has really taken a turn suddenly, I think a couple of Uniqlo jumpers are needed. I’ve polished my boots and wore a pair today but I’m sure my feet have spread after sandals and flip flops as they feel a bit tight.

I’m looking for a large snuggly scarf still.

cathyandclare · 06/09/2019 15:27

LOVE Cher from Clueless, hoping it'll come with her wardrobe organiser too Grin

I too have a burgundy leather skirt and I love it, great buy.

happytobemrsg · 06/09/2019 15:47

So I clearly have zero self control. After seeing @Ellapaella’s dungarees on another thread I’ve been hunting for some comfy black ones & just ordered some from Lucy & Yak. Reviews seem fab so fingers crossed. If they fit I can see me obsessing over what tops to buy to wear under it. It could end up being a very costly buy... 🙈

I'm dressed a bit summery today : pale blue jeans, white vest, blue vertical striped jacket and black heels. Should have worn my boots and a polo neck really, it's only 15 degrees!

granny24 · 06/09/2019 16:26

I'm looking for some wideleg or cut off linen trousers and three quarters long tee. I live in a warm place.

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 06/09/2019 16:30

oooh, I've had a message from Hobbs, their petite trench is back in stock in my size for 2 colours - blue or beige

what would work best? Think this is definately trenchy weather today!

My slippers and big cardie are on, debating putting the heating on just to warm up the bathroom for the kids bathtime - autumn is here!

happytobemrsg · 06/09/2019 16:43

I love the beige one @DisgruntledGuineaPig!

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 06/09/2019 16:55

I'm thinking beige too - I do have a lot of navy in my wardrobe, but beige is nice. It's more than I wanted to spend, but frankly, got 'classic wardrobe staple' all over it...

@LuxuryWoman2018 - I know what you mean about feet spreading, I do feel mine have to get used to being fully enclosed again after the summer...

cathyandclare · 06/09/2019 17:27

I bought a beige one like that from Whistles about 10 years ago, on impulse because it was raining snd I was out to meet a friend for lunch! I've worn it so, so much. I wore it today again .

It's a timeless item and It's been one of my best buys ever

MulberryPeony · 06/09/2019 17:46

Am I the only person who doesn’t use their trench coat? I have great outfit ideas but almost everyone I wear it I end up thinking a different coat would have been much more practical. Love that JCrew cape but I have a black coat in a similar shape that I should really get some wear out of... will see if It comes back in stock!

I’ve managed to find a cheap merino grey long sleeved sweater on eBay last month so there’s one of my items ticked off. Also some mom jeans and a cashmere jumper from Next so just black boots to wear with dresses to find now I think.

Ninkaninus · 06/09/2019 17:47

Beige is classic for a trench, with good reason. It will go with everything and is so versatile, and just looks timeless and classy. I bought a navy one last month but that’s because I already have a classic one. I say go with the beige - you really can’t go wrong with that. I have wanted a Saskia trench coat for years (the red one). 😍

Ellapaella · 06/09/2019 18:25

@happytobemrsg those dungarees look lovely. I tend to wear fairly tight fitting tops under mine and recently a stripey jumper which is reasonably fitted. I also have a couple of neat fit cashmere jumpers from Woolovers that I think will work quite well, I have one in blue and one in a burnt orange colour. Looking forward to hearing what you decide to wear with yours.
