I look forward to September and the change in weather move to autumny clothes.... I don't know why but I really, really fancy some super leather cowboy boots... plus pinafore dresses :)

What’s your body shape @Elloello? Styled by Susie always recommends a chunky shoe for curvy shapes (pear, hourglass & apple) as they help balance out the silhouette

happytobemrsg · 03/09/2019 18:12

@cheesenpickles what are you doing to me?!? 😩

@Elloello honestly if you’re on FB I’d recommend Joining the Styled By Susie Tribe - they are all about trainers with dresses, dressing for your shape etc

cheesenpickles · 03/09/2019 19:25

I'm sorry @happytobemrsg but there's too much pretty stuffffff. Though side note can't find it anywhere on Topshop.com so we may have had the decision taken from us. Sad

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/09/2019 20:07

That dark red dress looks great.

I wore brogues with a pencil skirt yesterday and got several nice comments.

Re nude fishnets - I agree that the colour can look a bit weird, but I think it matters less than with nude tights, because it's obvious that they are tights rather than trying to look like bare leg.

Has anybody seen any bigger holed fishnets recently, other than in Primark which I just can't bare to go into?

Dr Martens and opaques might work better than black trainers and opaques, so definitely worth a try.

I’ve spent the best part of an hour unwrap it and trying on clothes.

Couldn’t photo everything as I ran out of time but here’s the majority. The cape and the Zara jacket are beautiful.

The Bella Freud’s are lovely on, I wish I’d gone down a size though but I’ll be wearing over dresses so maybe slouchier will be a better look.

Green dress from ASOS is lovely but I’m booby and it’s very booby so I’m a bit on the fence.

I’ve also found a pair of cargos that I love and flatter my legs. Before I definitely keep them though I need to make sure I’ve got enough to wear with them. I’ll be dressing them up (heels) and down (trainers).

Please can you provide me with the links to the dress and little blazer. I love them both very much.

Certainly can. Cape is www.asos.com/jcrew-mercantile/jcrew-mercantile-wool-cape/prd/10735165?ctaRef=my%20orders but I think it may be out of stock. Credit to ctr for the cape, she saw it and we all jumped on the bandwagon and actually I want to thank you for sharing ctr because I wouldn’t have found it but for you.

Dress is here:

www.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-wrap-front-midi-dress-in-abstract-animal-print/prd/13042986?ctaRef=my%20orders

Enjoy!

EnidButton · 03/09/2019 22:47

I missed out on the cape Sad Still hunting for a similar one. No luck yet.

Leftielefterson · 03/09/2019 22:51

enid - what I find with ASOS is that they get so many returns you’ll sometimes see something come back in stock so I’d definitely keep checking and actually perhaps email them? Honestly it’s worth it and I say that not trying to rub salt into the wound, it’s a lovely cape. I felt like batwoman in it, in the best way!

EnidButton · 04/09/2019 03:31

I'll keep an eye out, thanks Leftie Maybe the "payday purchases" will start being returned next week.

I love the White Company one too but not sure I'd get as much wear out of it.

EnidButton · 04/09/2019 03:32

Oh and an email is a good idea. Worth a try. Smile

cheesenpickles · 04/09/2019 06:39

If you have the ASOS app you can highlight it to email you when a particular item comes back in stock.

Atalune · 04/09/2019 07:58

Is the little jacket a bit Chanel-esque? I think I have seen it, with sort of high shoulders? I can’t do anything that will make my shoulders wider.

My shape is inverted triangle/athletic....and I have to be very careful of shoulder embellishments or so start to resemble an ageded shot putter. Sorry to all the shot putters out there. Grin

I am trying very hard not to spend anything.

CtrlAltDelight · 04/09/2019 08:15

@Leftielefterson - yey, cape love all round! I'm glad you love it too.

It had actually gone out of stock when I bought it so they are getting returns back. You can also order it from the US on Ebay but for ££££.

Leftielefterson · 04/09/2019 09:56

Atalune - very Chanel i’d say. It really is a beautiful piece but yes, padded shoulders, very piqued.

I’m sending a few things I didn’t photograph back as they just didn’t look great. I need to stop spending now.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 04/09/2019 10:50

I've been charity shop shopping - my favourite kind. Grin

The red cardigan is cashmere, is in perfect condition and cost £10, the green cami is River Island and was £3.50, and the black top which is Hobbs and looks fantastic on was £6. I do love a bargain!

LuxuryWoman2018 · 04/09/2019 11:10

That’s a fantastic haul Greebols I haven’t had any charity shop treasures for ages but have done well in the past.

EnidButton · 04/09/2019 17:38

Thank you Cheese

Batshittery · 04/09/2019 18:52

I'm still lurking and loving all your purchases/pictures Smile

happytobemrsg · 04/09/2019 21:10

Oh no Misery, I hope there isn’t a delay in posting out orders.

cathyandclare · 05/09/2019 07:25

My Zara jacket got delivered to my Mum's by mistake (ordered something for her previously and forgot to edit preferences). So I'm now drumming my fingers and waiting for it to arrive...

Not buying anything else.

Well, apart from getting some existing wide leg Whistles trousers copied in wool (maybe houndstooth or POW check) when I go to SE Asia, oh and maybe some ankle boots Blush
