I look forward to September and the change in weather move to autumny clothes.... I don't know why but I really, really fancy some super leather cowboy boots... plus pinafore dresses :)

Love that cuff Luxury.
You are all so organised! I’m after big soft scarves in purply colours.

Steviestamborine · 30/08/2019 18:38

Oh and boots, ankle probably.

EnidButton · 30/08/2019 21:34

Did someone buy the Jaeger wool trench from tk maxx? I keep looking at it but the pics on their site aren't that clear. If anyone has it, would you be able to take a pic of it for me? Just so I can see it 'in real life'...sort of.

Imjusthere · 30/08/2019 22:00

My fashion is pants, I was too chubby with baby weight last winter to care and lived in baggy jumpers
I'm slowly slimming back down and excited to get in to some nicer clothes this autumn!
I got a lovey denim pinafore dress this summer that I've practically lived in 😁 it's going to be a great item for autumn and winter too!! Layered with some turtle necks, shirts, tights and boots

BarrenFieldofFucks · 30/08/2019 22:18

I did Enid, I've sent it back already though I'm afraid. It is a lovely deep colour, much like on screen. It was just a bit too long and overwhelming for me. On a smaller person I think it would look lovely. It had a slightly modern 'edge' to it, visible stitching on parts etc. (Not different coloured thread, just a visible stitch line of that makes sense.

It felt like good quality. Bear in mind you have to pay for returns, so I returned in store as had a few jackets and would have cost £££ to post.

I’ve decided not to replace my current workhorse bag (black Tory Burch camera bag). I can’t find another which I prefer & now I’ve cleaned it up a big it looks much better. I think it needs some good leather conditioner though - any recommendations?

cheesenpickles · 31/08/2019 09:17

Just picked up a pair of loafers from Topshop for work stuff. I always struggle to find comfy shoes that look cool but are also ok for schlepping around in. www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/shoes-430/flats-459/lorenzo-black-square-toe-loafers-9003389

Those are NICE cheese I never wear shoes anymore as I don't wear skirts and only have skinny trousers so I'm boots or sandals only. I used to like shoes

EnidButton · 31/08/2019 13:08

Thanks field Shame it didn't suit.
I think I might need one with less going on at the top now I've looked again. I'm an hourglass shape so adding bulk to the chest area usually looks a bit off. I really want a trench coat but not sure there's one that'll suit me. I'll keep looking.

EnidButton · 31/08/2019 13:09

That sounds perfect Imjust.

cheesenpickles · 31/08/2019 13:52

@LuxuryWoman2018 I'm so chuffed. I've basically been replacing all my outlandish clothing and footwear with classic pieces (with the odd rainbow sequin jacket thrown in for good measure). It's lovely bring able to throw anything on and now it'll match up. Smile

I was tempted by getting them in snakeskin too, but resisted. Old habits die hard Grin

cheesenpickles · 31/08/2019 13:53

I'm a total trainer girl by the the way with the odd boot thrown in during the winter. I'm still holding out hope that Uggs will make a comeback with all the 90s/00s fashion nostalgia. I loved my Uggs.

I fell off this thread because it has been really hot, but today feels autumnal. I bought two dresses from Warehouse (i’m 5ft 6 and they are more calf-length on me), a couple of striped tops from Other Stories, and a leopard print blouse in a kind of blush pink colour from Oliver Bonas.

My next purchase will be some DM Church boots, but as of tomorrow I am on no-spend September with Oxfam, so they will have to wait!

LuxuryWoman2018 · 31/08/2019 16:31

Nice dresses, I always forget about warehouse but they do have my kind of thing despite my years.

Very autumnal today, I’m under a blanket.

Happy- I bought the Mulberry leather wax. Very impressed so far.

Miseryisabutterfly · 31/08/2019 18:06

I’ve been on Zara and & other stories sprees to complete my autumn/winter wardrobe. I need to stop! I stopped drinking a month ago and have justified every purchase to myself by saying I deserve it. I do not.

Atalune · 31/08/2019 18:41

judy love the sound of your Oliver Bonas blouse. I always forget about that place.....

Can I get a collective yay or nay on these trainers please?

cheesenpickles · 31/08/2019 19:03

Always a yay from me for Adidas originals. Nice twist on the chunky white trainer.

Sigh81 · 31/08/2019 19:38

For my fellow tortoiseshell lovers @LuxuryWoman2018 and @happytobemrsg, this isn’t technically a wardrobe item but have just snapped up a few of these nonetheless. Been after a new nice (wipe-down-able) sponge back for ages:

LuxuryWoman2018 · 31/08/2019 19:43

Nice sigh
Ooh I’ve been quoted in the mumsnet swears by email about the trench 😀

It’s a fluffy socks and pyjamas evening I think, cold here.

Summersummershine · 31/08/2019 19:55

@Judystilldreamsofhorses I love that floral dress, it's beautiful. Probably too long on me as I'm a shortie, but I might have to order it and see...

eeksville · 31/08/2019 19:59

I need some boot inspiration, not sure whether to go hiking or western.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 31/08/2019 20:27

Yes, I’m still debating boots eeksville trying to put the all saints ones out of my mind
