I've lost count of how many threads we've had! Previous thread.

Let's keep the gossip lighthearted and, as always, stick to critiquing the clothes rather than being overly critical about the women wearing them.

Sometimes I wonder if that's why she chose men she couldn't/shouldn't have...

I hasten to add - these are not my views. It's all before my time, really.

DevonUkelele · 19/07/2019 12:52

In a funny way, maybe this is kind of where the York princesses find themselves.

Born to 5th and 6th to the throne (not as close as margaret, but a similar comparison ), and drifting further away as time goes on.

But, ultimately, you need to find a rich life partner because the title aint worth much. And getting a job as - let's say, a lawyer or a shop assistant or an engineer - isn't an easy option.

It might be interesting to see in 50-60 years with Charlotte and it all changing. And George ultimately marrying and having an heir, who might be female.

(Sorry, no style chat here. Eugenie's dress was nice though Grin)

Princess Badiyah (Haya of Jordan’s cousin) is a barrister, although she now works for a Middle East peace think tank headed by Prince Charles (intriguingly, not Queen Rania’s Jordan River organisation).

A PP on here said that Indian royals become hoteliers (great use of transferable skills, that).

Inniu · 19/07/2019 13:18

On the mosquitoes in Mustique I would assume that the properties spray their grounds for mosquitoes regularly.

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 19/07/2019 13:25

And also a position that Harry will ultimately find himself in. Mind you I’d prefer Harry’s position than Williams’s.

There's a sitcom waiting to happen in HM being forced to run Buckingham Palace as a hotel and the DoE insulting all the guests. But alas Fawlty Towers has already been done!

The trouble is you get sand flies as well as mozzies. We stayed at Parrot Cay where Donna Karan has a house & had to spray ourselves before going on the beach in the morning, it was horrific. However Bermuda has no fly/mosquito problem as they are very hot on cleaning up standing water so it can be done. I’ve stayed at a resort in the Maldives where they haven’t sprayed since 2011 by having a full time anti-mosquito specialist.

Style wise, I don’t really like the kaftan/turban look that was popular in the late 60s for PM and Liz Taylor

Oooh, look what I found via Pinterest- Megan's make up from Suits, lifted from The Tig.

My royal knowledge is a mix of The Crown and Ma'am Darling Grin

yellowalstroemeria · 19/07/2019 14:28

In fact, there's quite a few posts on make up that can be found through pinterest. They're generally older but I think they were written by Meghan.

Wow, so you can read The Tig on that link. Fascinating.

I never read it before. I didn't realise quite what an influencer Meghan was. All those links! I guess I thought it was a more personal blog or something? But it was basically a magazine. Lots of promoting and name dropping.

Respect due though, it was clearly a lot of work. God knows how she kept all that going whilst filming. How did she even have time for relationships??

I had absolutely no idea it was that big or that glossy.

pinkladyapples · 19/07/2019 15:41

Leti looking good in red. Love her shoes! I would love to raid her shoe collection!

Apologies as the thread titles are always fab but my desire to have everything correct wishes it was Foundations to foundation as we talked about the break up of the Fab Four Foundation before the make up one Grin.

Notmyrealname855 · 19/07/2019 15:59

Where is Leti’s dress from? Please say Zara and not Hugo Boss!

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/07/2019 16:06

Alas it's Carolina Herrera @Notmyrealname855!

completelyclueless1 · 19/07/2019 16:45

I saw a 'seperated at birth' side by side of Leti with Caitlyn Jenner and now I can't see anything else Confused

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/07/2019 16:57

Oh god poor Leti, Bruce is vile!

completelyclueless1 · 19/07/2019 17:34

Leti is so beautiful, it drives me mad that my brain is now broken!

MotherofPearl · 19/07/2019 18:45

Gosh I love that outfit of Leti's. She is always so sleek and poised.

MotherofPearl · 19/07/2019 18:49

Here's Max, Wax and their girls. I love the photo of them sitting on the grass. Not wild about Max's dress but as usual her lovely warm manner compensates.

Here's a Friday treat for all of us - Max, Wax and the Waxlings held a summer photoshoot in The Hague. The European royals known how to dress their teen girls - why don't the British??

Aren't they just a stunning family.

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/07/2019 18:59

I think there's now probably as many young queens-in-waiting as there are kings in Europe. There's Amalia, Elisabeth, Leonor, Ingrid and Estelle. And of course CPV but she's more the generation of CPF and HH.

BigGreenOlives · 19/07/2019 19:02

The blue shirt dress is Sandro, it’s in their sale. My daughters wouldn’t wear things like that, too old & boring for them, they see clothes like that as mine.

StCharlotte · 19/07/2019 19:08

Those Dutch princesses are turning into proper swans aren't they? And the middle one is the absolute image of Max! And yes, they know how to dress their teens and teens.
