I've lost count of how many threads we've had! Previous thread.

Let's keep the gossip lighthearted and, as always, stick to critiquing the clothes rather than being overly critical about the women wearing them.

Had Diana lived, I also think that Camilla and Charles would have married once she was settled and happy - assuming that had happened. I don’t think they would have risked it if she’d still been single, but once the dust had settled and she had hopefully found a new life, I think it would have happened. Might have taken a long time though.

Well, that would have been the sensible thing... if Charles had been absolutely determined he could probably have shoved a wedding through. It would have been damaging of Diana had still been in full-on wronged wife and victim mode though.

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 25/07/2019 16:45

I remember the same as @SenecaFalls. The rehabilitation of Camilla had already started. The press were very negative towards Diana before her death.

JaimeBronde · 26/07/2019 01:26

But that's the nature of the press, love you one minute & hate you the next, then back to loving you again & so on......

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 26/07/2019 07:20

Princess Anne is on a fair few engagements in the coming days - hoping that will help our frock quota!

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/07/2019 09:16

Indeed @JaimeBronde, just look at recent events. First the social climber crap about the Middletons (did anyone actually say "doors to manual" or did the Mail invent that?) and now the vitriol towards Meghan (FFS Piers, you're starting to sound like a stalker). I'm always surprised that so many people still fall for what's printed.

Mette-Marit with her eldest son. She looks well.

I love what Leti wears. She always looks so elegant, cool, calm and put together.

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/07/2019 09:59

Apparently Leti is not popular in Spain. Not sure how SFF is regarded. The Spanish royals have had a few scandals in recent years - SFF's dodgy BiL, King JC's indiscretions etc

Prince William is smokin’ in this tweet

He’s got the Diana downward gaze. Problem is, his long face plus the bald top detracts from his handsome face. If he wanted a hair transplant; I wouldn’t judge him.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 26/07/2019 10:21

William is very handsome but he has got a Spencer-y around the chops of late. I totally agree re hair transplant, but I suspect the vilification in the media would be enough to put him off. I suspect not much "work" is done on the male royals!

beanaseireann · 26/07/2019 10:37

A bit of Regaine for Wills ?
I read Sandalwood oil is good too Smile
He was sooo handsome.

latedecember1963 · 26/07/2019 10:45

The colour and style of Leti's dress is beautiful. Kate would suit it too.

Wetdogloveshubert · 26/07/2019 14:19

Oof, that is a good image @CurlyWurlyTwirly. A hair transplant would do him and Harry a world of good, though that is rather shallow of us Grin

ElspethFlashman · 26/07/2019 14:28

Notice the hidden safety pin in Letis neckline.

I'm a demon with the safety pins. I've been know to go to a wedding bristling with them. I've occasionally worn shirts that have a safety pin hidden in between 3 or 4 buttons. I have a safety pin box with three different sizes just for clothing!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 26/07/2019 14:44

Poor old Harry is losing his hair fast.www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/7678718/prince-harrys-bald-patch-doubled-size-year-meghan-markle-blame-hair-transplant-surgeon/
I don’t think we’ll ever see him without the beard.
When you see him when he was younger; his face looks naked!

I am so pleased to hear this.

I have a rather nice faux wrap dress that I thought needed a dome button and some discreet hand-sowing. But if safety pins are good enough for a Queen and the queens on threads such as this, maybe they are good enough for me too!

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/07/2019 17:29

So now Meghan is to blame for Harry's baldness too? That's a reach too far, even for the Sun!!😂

😂seems totally reasonable 🤣🤣🤦‍♀️

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 26/07/2019 19:54

But of course she is not

MotherofPearl · 26/07/2019 20:15

Like Leti's green dress even though I'm not usually fond of asymmetrical or handkerchief hemlines.

I have wondered whether PW or PH will ever get hair transplants but I suspect not.

MotherofPearl · 26/07/2019 20:25

Here's Queen Margrethe. Like HMQ she seems to favour black accessories - which can look harsh as @Paradyning noted the other day - but somehow she makes this work, I think.

Hopefully you lot won't send me to The Tower for this but I think she's rather more stylish than our own Queen, though I suppose it may just be that she's more youthful.

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/07/2019 20:41

I think Margrethe's personality means she can carry off more theatrical outfits that HM couldn't. She's a bit like a Maxima Snr, though maybe Max is a Margrethe Jnr!

I always find it curious how poorly educated HM and PM were, especially when compared to Margrethe. I know she's some years younger but university doesn't seem to have been an option even for Princess Anne.
