I love this dress, think she looks good! Am I the only one?

I think she's very beautiful and stylish. I'm a big fan of Kate too but I like that Meghan is different and not a carbon copy.

I didn't think that dress was the most flattering choice but it's so hard to dress at two months post partum, I went to a formal event at around the same point after having DD and I do cringe a bit looking back at the photos! I actually found it easier to dress when pregnant than post partum.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 17/07/2019 08:05

I think a dress costing 3.5K ought to be more flattering tbh. She is a beautiful woman and that dress did very little for her imo.

BusterGonad · 17/07/2019 09:57

I too think that is great that Meghan and Kate dress so differently, I do prefer Meghan's look as I can see more of it suiting me and she has some lovely smart casual dresses which I'd love! Grin

“Meghan spends megabucks - still looks like bag of hammers”. Today in your Soaraway Sun......

happyhillock · 17/07/2019 10:17

I don't think Meghan is beautiful i think she's pretty, her clothes alway's look to big for her considering the price she has reportedly paid for her her wedding dress looked to big, i agree with another poster her hair alway's look's messy, i like Meghan but i don't think she has a lot of dress sense, Kate isn't a natural bean pole its the way she looks due to diet and excersise

Becles · 17/07/2019 11:16

@happyhillock

i agree with another poster her hair alway's look's messy

Her hair looks 'messy' if she was white. As a mixed race woman, her hair is actually neat unless what you sre really saying is that as a royal she must conform to a white standard of what counts as appropriate or near hair.

Black women have different hair texture and styling than white women. To look close to the style of white hair as Meghan has done requires the ongoing use of chemical treatments and heat.

BertrandRussell · 17/07/2019 11:34

I was wondering whether she’s wearing it brushed so severely back because she’s been using fewer chemicals while pregnant and (possibly) bf.

BusterGonad · 17/07/2019 13:23

I'm amazed at how nit picky people are about others appearance, unless I had super model good looks I'd never nit pick on here about others looks, especially an obviously attractive tv star/now royal.

Dandelion1993 · 17/07/2019 13:33

It's a lovely dress but it's too small. The bust edging is finishing half way down her boobs.

I'm amazing by her ever-changing nose. Sometimes there is a noticeable dip in the middle of it, side-on, then whoosh! Its gone. A few months later, its back! Once you've seen it, you cannot unsee it.

thisenglishlife · 17/07/2019 18:36

Meghan has "messy hair" - sigh.

The bridge of her nose looks sunken.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 17/07/2019 19:57

I have to agree she looks beautiful! And the dress was lovely, if a bit snug. She does have some post baby weight, but she'll lose it again soon enough. There ought not to be any hurry. I went from a size 10 to a size 14 after my pregnancy. Then after breasfeeding on demand actually lost
loads and went down to an 8. I suspect she'll be the same.

Her nose is the same as Harry’s. Their profile is exactly the same!

IncandescentShadow · 17/07/2019 20:14

Perhaps she does facial exercises which strengthen her nose? If so, Harry needs to do them as well! The third photo is more recent.

@IncandescentShadow

I think she does do facial excercise. If I remember correctly she has this treatment in a salon where the therapist puts fingers in the mouth to excercise and tone the cheeks and face from the inside. I would have to search her old blog to remember where she has it done.

I do personally swear by facial excercise but use an electric facial toner and it can leave you looking a bit different the next day till the muscles relax.

SemperIdem · 17/07/2019 20:30

@Senoritaforever I have said since they first got together that they have very similar facial features. It’s why they make such a good looking couple, I think.

I don’t understand how you can strengthen your nose though? I’m intrigued!

SamanthaBrique · 17/07/2019 20:44

A lot of people claim she's had a nose job but I think it's just clever use of makeup and shading.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 17/07/2019 20:47

I also thought they were related, along very far back admitedly. But she has distant royal pedigree herself? I agree they do look very similar features wise.

Knitclubchatter · 17/07/2019 20:52

I don’t find the dress fits her that well really. The belly bump is highlighted unnecessarily.

IncandescentShadow · 17/07/2019 22:27

My interest comes from having had an accident which changed my facial features and proportions somewhat and which I've tried all sorts of things, including facial exercises, to restore to their original appearance. None of it worked. The only thing I've been advised that is likely to work is filler, renewed every 18 months - 2 years, but that it can gradually give you a slightly bulbous look. I have therefore rejected it. I'd love to hear what Meghan uses because I can see quite clearly (from my own experience of differences being pointed out by surgeons and what causes it) that her nasal bridge and septum have sunk inwards but have then recovered.

Probably I notice these things more than other people, so please be patient with me and don't accuse me of attacking Meghan or singling her out. I can just see that her nose is changing shape!

Tippexy · 17/07/2019 23:34

Look at old photos. Of course it’s a nose job!

SamanthaBrique · 18/07/2019 07:09

I don't think it is, I think it's just very skilful contouring. If you look at photos of her since she had the baby and she's still carrying a bit of extra weight, her nose looks pretty much like it did in her old yearbook photo when her face was fuller.

BertrandRussell · 18/07/2019 07:12

My dd has a friend who can completely change someone’s face with make up. It’s extraordinary- like magic. And if a 22 year old trainee midwife can learn how to do it from YouTube, i’m sure Meghan or her staff can too!
