I love this dress, think she looks good! Am I the only one?

I do wish that she'd realise she has taken on a role that comes with certain obligations whether she likes them or not, and if she starting meeting those, a lot of this ridiculous hate would dissipate - all be in it probably not from DM and its head henchman Piers!

Apart from not wearing frocks of your choosing, which of those roles is she neglecting ? I don't think Meghan needs to appease anybody by changing what and who she is . Vast majority of hate comes from DM audience and I very much doubt she needs to win them over. Which as you said is impossible anyway so not quite sure what your point is . You don't appease racists by trying to conform Hmm

User10fuckingmillion · 15/07/2019 15:59

She’d look great in a bin bag tbf

Winterlife · 15/07/2019 16:03

Her behaviour at Wimbledon, with friends, was abominable. My observation has nothing to do with race.

thisenglishlife · 15/07/2019 16:15

I don't understand the Meghan hatred myself.

The dress was a bit tight at the top. She may not have tried it on before - eg. bought it a few months ago or borrowed it or something.

She does look lovely regardless of what she wears. She's worn some amazing outfits and worn some overly baggy ones but she always looks beautiful.

Iamthewombat · 15/07/2019 19:48

I don’t like transparent black, and particularly not long transparent black sleeves: older female celebrities often go for this look, and I think it’s a bit cheap-looking.

Meghan has worn better dresses, but I think she’s lovely. Also, hats off to her for not starving herself into skinniness the minute she gives birth.

SteelRiver · 15/07/2019 19:50

Even while she was pregnant, she remained true to her own stylish self. I think she always looks great and I love the dress in the pic, OP.

What on earth did she do at Wimbledon? I didn't see nor did I read anything about her behaving badly.

Me neither but I haven't come across it in real life. Maybe just, or mainly, on here?

I don't think she has put a foot wrong so far.

Winterlife · 16/07/2019 00:40

Showed up in jeans, demanded to be seated surrounded by empty seats, which meant others with reserved seating didn’t get their seats, and had her security demand spectators, including a few who didn’t know she was there, not take photos.

Rachelover40 · 16/07/2019 01:27

Really? Are you sure she 'demanded' or was that just how the security people organised it? Honestly, I've not read anywhere that she demanded anything but there are protocols surrounding royals.
Nothing wrong with wearing jeans.

Rachelle11 · 16/07/2019 01:30

She is a pretty woman but I've rarely seen her in clothes that fit her. She needs a good tailor.

WishingILivedOnAnIsland · 16/07/2019 01:43

I think she looks great. I can't stand the mindless vitriol that seems to flow her way.

It's bloody hard to find anything that fits perfectly right after having a baby when your body seems to be changing every five minutes. It's bloody hard to leave the house at all.

Good on her, I hope she had a great time.

Limpshade · 16/07/2019 01:47

I think she looks fab.

She obviously likes to look "classic" - crisp white shirts, unfussy cuts and shapes - but sometimes it can feel a bit boring. I'd love to see her in patterns more often as I think she could pretty much pull anything off! But clearly (and understandably) she doesn't dress with me in mind so you do you, Meghan Grin

Cookit · 16/07/2019 07:11

I don’t think it’s a great dress. If she was that weight / size permanently she’d probably know how to dress for it but since it’s such a new size for her she’s not wearing the right things (also the bust just makes me wince as a breastfeeding mother of a similar aged baby). HOWEVER, I think she is genuinely beautiful and honestly when I look at photos of her I’m first drawn to her face and then hair rather than clothes so it doesn’t really matter.

SamanthaBrique · 16/07/2019 07:30

Jeans??? clutches pearls tightly

And she was in the members enclosure, wasn't she? Members of the public couldn't have sat in those seats anyway.

But by all means go ahead and believe everything the Mail and Sun say...

Sagradafamiliar · 16/07/2019 07:36

She always looks radiant.

Blueuggboots · 16/07/2019 07:43

I have nothing against her.
I think her clothes are all a bit boring, but I get that she can wear what she likes.
I've never seen a photo of her and gone "wow, she looks amazing!", even on her wedding day.....I was yeah, it looks ok.

Senoritaforever · 16/07/2019 07:46

The overall look is lovely but I think the dress is too high waisted.

Morgan12 · 16/07/2019 07:49

I really like Meghan unlike most on here. I loved her in Suits and she just comes across as lovely person. I think she has been a breath of fresh air for the royal family. But I've never thought she was a looker.

thisenglishlife · 16/07/2019 08:01

She's beautiful @Morgan12

I much preferred her style before she became a Royal.

I don't feel she's found her style as a Royal yet. She buys really nice clothes but they don't always suit her shape/frame or seem to be the right size for her. The cut is sometimes off.

I can't remember if it took Kate a while to find her style post marriage...? She seems to have it nailed now.

LenoVentura · 16/07/2019 08:05

I think she's beautiful, more so than Catherine, but she's generally badly dressed.

BertrandRussell · 16/07/2019 08:10

“ I do wish that she'd realise she has taken on a role that comes with certain obligations whether she likes them or not, and if she starting meeting those, a lot of this ridiculous hate would dissipate”

Which obligations hasn’t she met?

SamanthaBrique · 16/07/2019 08:12

If Meghan's not a looker then what hope is there for the rest of us???

I think she's struggled a bit to find her royal style but I can't blame her, given she was pregnant almost immediately after her wedding and had to deal with a changing shape.

SamanthaBrique · 16/07/2019 08:14

I do wish that she'd realise she has taken on a role that comes with certain obligations whether she likes them or not

Obligations like royal tours, taking on charity patronages, attending various events? She's done all those! She's also worn her share of British fashion, both high street and designer, but people generally don't notice as the press only talk about her clothes when they're by foreign designers.

BertrandRussell · 16/07/2019 08:30

I think she looks gorgeous in plain white shirts. I was disappointed by her bottom half at Wimbledon- but her top half was lovely. So grown up and stylish.
