The dress of the summer, apparently. It’s a no from me, I’m afraid.Confused

Another mystery.

LauderSyme · 14/07/2019 09:27

Yuck. But then I am not a fan of the polka dot.

CmdrCressidaDuck · 14/07/2019 09:27

A colleague was wearing it belted the other day and it looked fab. She is tall though. I suspect 5'2" hourglassy me wouldn't have quite the same effect.

LauderSyme · 14/07/2019 09:30

I think the eyebrow trend probably deserves it's own thread Wink

MandalaYogaTapestry · 14/07/2019 09:31

Just ordered one :)

weebarra · 14/07/2019 09:36

I've seen it twice and it looked great on the wearer both times. In fact, the first time I saw it I asked where it was from - on behalf of another friend who it would also look fab on.

YesyouyouCnut · 14/07/2019 09:37

That account is brilliant!

supersop60 · 14/07/2019 09:38

I had something very similar in 1979 when I was a student. It just looks old fashioned and frumpy now.

KittyMcKitty · 14/07/2019 09:38

I think it’s a lovely dress - I don’t have it but have contemplated it but decided I already have several v similar.

What I have found awful was some of the sneering the dress (and by default those wearing it) have had in Insta - a couple of bloggers playing bingo counting how many people wore it at Chelsea for instance. Women with piles of free clothes sneering at other women who bought a dress they liked Confused

mamaoffourdc · 14/07/2019 09:38

I have it and love it, I'm gutted it's so popular!!!

KendrickLMAO · 14/07/2019 09:39

I’ve seen a few women wear it, age range 24-50-something, different body types.

Looks lovely on all of them!

Miseryisabutterfly · 14/07/2019 09:40

Me too mama 😂 I’d not seen it on anyone else!

NeverSayFreelance · 14/07/2019 09:49

"Do you want to look like a Victorian child in an infirmary who rolled about in TV static? Then head on down to Zara!"

NeverSayFreelance · 14/07/2019 09:50

I'm being harsh, it is a lot nicer IRL. But the photos on the website make it look horrendous 😂

serenadoundy · 14/07/2019 09:56

@Miseryisabutterfly it looks great on you! I wouldn't buy it based on the model pics but if I tried it on on store and looked like misery I would definitely buy it!

pinkstar01 · 14/07/2019 09:56

I honestly think it's so unflattering!

pinkstar01 · 14/07/2019 09:58

But I'm only 5'1, maybe it would suit taller people

PuppyMonkey · 14/07/2019 10:04

@Miseryisabutterfly you do look much better in it than the model, but tbh I really suspect you would look a hell of a lot nicer wearing something else entirely. Grin

The style is reminiscent of 1970s girls’ party dresses of which I had a fetching purple and orange combo

THAT Zara dress... have we done this already?
TapasForTwo · 14/07/2019 10:12

Sorry misery. It looks better on you but it is still a hideous dress.

cranstonmanor · 14/07/2019 10:13

She looks like a nun. Actually, scrap that, I used to live near a convent, the nuns looked more modern than that except for the hood thing.

Floisme · 14/07/2019 10:18

It's not my thing for reasons that are too many to list but I still think it's very pretty and also refreshing to see after years and years of bodycon. I don't get why it arouses such strong feelings.

Luckystar1 · 14/07/2019 10:22

I have it too. I love it, and I think it looks lovely on. It’s nice and light and airy, and I usually wear much more fitted clothes.

BarmyBitchNeighbour · 14/07/2019 10:24

I like it but I would look so shit in it

PuppyMonkey · 14/07/2019 10:24

The Instagram account, though Grin
