By relaxed I mean verging on Converse and denim jacket relaxed. I’m 50 and been with dp for many many years. Don’t want any fuss or bother and will have teens in tow. I’m a size 14. No idea what to wear.😩

Not green, but I like this

uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_1,mon_1.2/6429874608

Sold out in the 14, but I think Monsoon sizes are large and there's availability in the 12

margaritasbythesea · 08/07/2019 06:54

There is this at monsoon which is similar in cut to the jigsaw one you liked

Another similar shape.

I kept looking for other inspiration, not green but the same kind of vibe. Here's another Preen dress, one that you could have altered for length quite easily

So exciting!

I love the 'mint velvet' brand, often floral with a modern twist.

I can't help thinking a denim jacket and converse style might look nice with a vintage lace dress? For kind of a bohemian look.

I do like that green dress you posted but I wonder if it might not look very exciting unless accessorised well.

I think this is beautiful and classic in a similar way to the one you posted.. would be nice with some simple gold earrings rings even a nice bracelet

Betty777 · 08/07/2019 20:21

Here are some lovely green dresses. Most look comfortable and many would look good on a size 14. Could wear flats or converse with most of these

This is one of my faves:

now that is bargainous! and yay for the jumpsuit, imho all dresses should be jumpsuits (with pockets) :D hope you have a wonderful day.

Permenating · 09/07/2019 11:41

If you look when you're out there, try Loft/Ann Taylor, New York and Company, the smallest size in Torrid. Some friends got married at City Hall and it was a very special day Smile have a wonderful time!

growlingbear · 09/07/2019 11:50

Not quite the colours you wanted, and no sleeves but I think this would look great with a denim jacket and converse. It's very relaxed but also a bit special-occasion-ish.

growlingbear · 09/07/2019 11:53

@Betty777 that pistachio Stories dress is beautiful. I might have to have that!

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 09/07/2019 11:55

Good luck! I get married there next year so am watching with interest!

Ps, if youbare getting a photographer, they can act as a witness.

sqirrelfriends · 09/07/2019 15:33

What about this from the baker. A bit shorter than you asked for but covers arms and is a very flattering fit

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 09/07/2019 15:53

M and Co do an olive green zebra print midi dress ( sorry can't do link!)

BrilliantYou · 09/07/2019 16:08

Grey plains? www.greatplains.co.uk/product/womens-dresses/j1lby/hampton-cotton-v-neck-dress.htm

How about some white embellished 'wedding' converse too?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 09/07/2019 16:14

Arket had lovely green dresses.

sunnysmum7 · 09/07/2019 16:23

Ooo I got married there last summer! Honestly don't stress about a dress, wear whatever you feel comfortable in ... like others have said - it's really quick - we spent longer waiting than the actual 'I do's'.

I wore a chiffony style maxi dress - but got so hot and flustered on the way there I ended up running to H&M close by & bought a pair of shorts and pretty vest top & got hitched in that!
Hubby was in shorts & a smart polo!
Some might think that's too casual, but we were both comfortable & felt great! People wear all sorts in there, some fully done up, some in casual - whatever goes!

We eloped so we just asked the person in line before us to witness for us and in return we witnessed for them 😊

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/07/2019 19:24

Love that Great Plains one, BrilliantYou.

mrssmiling · 10/07/2019 08:57

Seasalt might be worth a look - this green dress is also available in a floral version.
