I think the Times / Camilla Long article is vile, but I also think that Kate is almost certainly not all sweetness and light - not because if any stupid vaporising ninsense, but because nobody gets to the position she's in without a degree of steeliness. I know we've had posters who've met her and said she was lovely and I don't doubt that, but I reckon if you crossed her, she'd be a tough one to deal with.
That's not a criticism - anyone would need that steely core to live such an odd, high profile life without cracking. It would drive me insane, having to be so guarded all the time, never being allowed an off sort of day without it being the source of widespread speculation, and never quite being able to trust anyone in case they went to the press! But I'm certain that she's not quite as nicey nice as she may seem.
That Times article is awful though, and I very much hope untrue.
