I was very much under the impression that you try to maintain/ double down on money and connections, lest you drop from that upper tier group; and that it’s three kids and then you can play away...
Not saying that for all marriages, but certainly heard it for some.
But Rose and whatshisface seemed different for seemingly having had a hot romance leading to marriage. And W&K for being in such a public position.
Think we’re all feeling a bit 
about both W&H for the rumours/balcony.
Ultimately we’ve been fed a story and image about both - if it turned out they were shit husbands, their whole reason for originally being so liked is zapped in one go (I.e yes they’re the elite, but poor kids of a broken marriage).
If W or H mess up their marriages, their images go poof.
This is why I don’t like the MvK angle - that we sometimes play out here (“well I prefer her look...”). Because the wives could be wholly innocent and just witnesses to a shitshow they can’t control.
If I were W or H, I’d both be taking this week’s press as a reminder on how important their wives are to the longevity of their royal positions.
