Now that the Orange One has gone, it's almost time for a visit from the Oranje One! Yes, Queen Max will be attending next Monday's Garter ceremony. It'll be a triplicate fashion face-off between her, Letizia and Kate - who will emerge victorious?

Wax is looking a bit...... prosperous there.

I'm ambivalent about the Vogue thing. On the one hand when Kate posed for Vogue, I found it ludicrously careful and wary to not even give the magazine the tiniest most anodyne interview.

On the other hand, I don't want Meghan to go "Full Oprah" this soon into her marriage as there will be an inevitable backlash. Kate has really taken it slow and it seems the British public don't like to feel like they're being lectured or talked down to by someone who never lived there until fairly recently.

I understand she wants to go 0-100mph, but the problem is, the people don't want that.

QueenOfTheAndals · 14/06/2019 17:23

Wax has always tended towards the prosperous!

As for Meghan and Vogue, I'll reserve judgement until the issue comes out.

What does a guest editor do? Does it mean she just writes and editorial? Or is there more too it?

CrystalVisions · 14/06/2019 17:40

God that Action on Addiction do looked dull!

FiddleFaddleDingDong · 14/06/2019 17:41

I think guest editor means as much or as little as the guest editor wants to do. The main thing for the magazine is the cachet of a big name.

itswinetime · 14/06/2019 17:51

According to this article it's an opinion piece picking some of the content and there is a photo shoot planned.

Agree this is the best approach. I'm already struggling though!

beanaseireann · 14/06/2019 18:15

Max's outfit in Cork isn't up to her usual standard. Sad

QueenOfTheAndals · 14/06/2019 18:30

If Meghan does do a vogue shoot then I hope it's a bit more exciting than Kate's from a few years ago! If it's Vogue then we demand gowns!

I see the DM has got hold of the Harry making a remark to Meghan on the balcony thing.

TyraAllen · 14/06/2019 19:23

Isn't the September issue of Vogue majorly fashion-heavy even by Vogue standards? Surely most of the content will have been lined up for ages, so how much editing will be left to do?

Twisique · 14/06/2019 19:29

Anne did Vogue, she looked really good!

Twisique · 14/06/2019 19:31

It cost 35p! Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 14/06/2019 19:32

Chris Jackson has shared a lovely photo of Meghan on his IG. I can't remember that outfit. These photos of Charles and Camilla, however, remind me too much of the still from that infamous dogging documentary from a few years ago!

A short history of royals in Vogue

That is such a lovely photo of M. I made the mistake of reading the comments though 🤮

C&D just look ridiculous. What possessed them?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 14/06/2019 19:39

Slightly unfortunate picture of Prince Charles in that link you posted Queen, with a very firm grip on his sword!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 14/06/2019 19:45

Princess Anne looks fabulous in those photos. Charles not so much.

TyraAllen · 14/06/2019 19:49

Imaginarycat - they were hosting a masked ball for charity!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/06/2019 19:55

Princess Anne was incredibly beautiful as a young woman

MotherofPearl · 14/06/2019 20:02

Have we seen Leti in this Massimo Dutti? I think it's perhaps a tiny bit too long for her? But she looks beautiful as ever - love the shoes. I think Leti's style is the one I most aspire to.

MotherofPearl · 14/06/2019 20:03

Would help to post the photos!

I like the striped dress in the background too, despite the hint of Hamburgler!

I like Leti's dress above. Although I see what you all mean by the skirt length thing though. I'm assuming she must have enough money to get things tailored though - why doesn't she?!

Princess Anne was such a beauty. As was Prince Edward actually - what happened??

I like Max's nude and yellow outfit. The clothes themselves are bit meh, but I do like the colours together. They shouldn't work, but they do.
