I don’t think there is another dress under Kate’s frock coats. They are too pinned in to show off her figure and they sit perfectly. Although it would be easy to ensure an underneath dress hem wouldn’t show, I think sleeves of dresses would definitely show and material would bulk out the streamline of the frock coats. The frock coats are dresses in themselves.

However she occasionally wears coats and dresses. The coats are usually longer. They are a heavier material and I think a little of the underneath dress may sometimes show (and the media speculate on the designer immediately).

There’s probably a slip under the coat dresses, but anything else will spoil the lines.

I'm going to be a bit snippy about that BBC article and its implication that people of different generations can't find something to talk about. How tiresome to assume that younger people have more "in common" with people their own age.

Kate and Meghan would both suit this lovely colour. On the whole, the 1970s vibe hat and the cape means that Meghan would rock this look more than Kate.

Yes, that cape is very Meghan, @RhubarbIsEvil. Also the purple gloves, it's a colour combo she's worn before. Definitely a look.

I always think what utter heaven it must be for a Royal woman to wake up in the morning and think “Thank fuck- it’a a no heels day!”

Yay. Kate has met Max, Paddy and Harry.

I like Kate in skinny’s she has the perfect figure for them and also they are incredibly practical, that’s why they have stayed around so long for all of us, they look great rolled up with trainers, fab with ballet flats, tucked into knee length boots, glammed up with heels, whatever style you fancy they adapt to that.

I think Kate looks good in the blue skinny jeans, because you can see they are jeans.

You need to read Alan Bennett's book "The Uncommon Reader" Bertrand. He imagines the Queen joining the mobile library. It's hilarious.
