Bag lovers, do you watch Shea Whitney and Emma Anders unboxing?

I can't stop watching their uploads on to youtube. I'm not convinced that buying a bag is ever an investment! And I wouldn't buy a channel flap or a Louis Vuitton Alma as they're too 'formal' looking for me, but I like watching them review their bags.

And i"m losing perspective, I'm starting to think Chloe bags are gorgeous bargains. They are gorgeous alright.

If you had a big birthday coming up and you wanted to buy a bag, what would you dream of owning.

Ohh we must had an unveiling... I'm hovering over the 'buy' button for the Chloe. I may treat myself to it after my first day at work on Monday.

I'm the same with bags, it takes me ages to decide, I'm sure half the fun is all the internet research and talking about it before buying. Then it's a thing of beauty for me and I love it for years. I've been looking for a new handbag for at least 18 months now. I'm currently using a battered old Osprey

Do it! I had to change my screen name as my bag tastes change. I am going to buy a bag very soon. I used to have this tradition that every time I endured a smear test I'd treat myself to a new bag afterwards. Never designer though. So, 3 years ago I bought a mint velvet bag. I feel so deserving afterwards.

I know, I was looking for the chloe LARGE Tess saddle bag in cloudy blue but I don't think it comes in cloudy blue. Only the small saddle tess one comes in cloudy blue :-(

I've just stumbled across this thread and feel like i have found my people!!

I'm lusting after the Mulberry Lily in Rosewater, which is currently in the sale and i am very tempted...do any of you have the Lily? I thought i wanted a Darley but not sure if it's a bit small and the colours available aren't quite doing it for me (i can't seem to find it in Rosewater).

DH bought me my first Mulberry for my 30th (a mitzy hobo in black) and it's still going strong almost 7 years on. I have wanted a smaller bag for years and have just enough saved to stretch to the Lily.

I love beautiful bags but will only spend up to around £700 max. I’ve got a few Mulberries - large Antony (not pretty but v practical), navy blue mini kite, purple patent east west Bayswater from years ago (never use it, can’t decide to sell or start using!), AND a mole grey Kensington that I am desperate to sell.

I’ve also got my eye on a Leighton 😃

Discovered some other brands recently - I love Strathberry, gorgeous bags... and I’d love a deMellier London bag.

Love the puzzle bag too - I looked in their shop in Barcelona last year - my dd had to drag me out! 😂

@Crimbles the lily is a classic bag, looks so elegant, go for it!

Oohh forgot one - I’ve also got a burgundy suede/leather Manu Atelier box bag that I love but it’s not that practical, can’t seem to find things in it. Bought nearly new from EBay for £180 😃

Crimbles I have a Lily and a small Darley. They are both lovely bags but I think the Lily in Rosewater would show wear and tear much more quickly - it’s not a very structured bag so it shows its age if you use it a lot. Mine is in oak and looks quite battered now but still looks lovely and the patina on it is great, but I think part of its success is that the tan colour looks good like that. Not so sure it’d be same with a colour like Rosewater. But if you love it I’d say go for it! Just maybe don’t use it every day, if you’ll be upset when it no longer looks pristine.

Mind you I love the Lily in the Rosewater colourway, very elegant and stylish. If I had missed out on the Small Darley I might have gone for that instead.

Ohhhh Ninks that's a very valid point, i didn't think of wear and tear. I am planning to use it as an occasion bag but i would be very upset if it's looking less than pristine after a few uses. I may do a bit more searching online before i commit. Perhaps there's a Darley out there.

I don’t think it would look worn after a few uses! I was talking more in terms of overall mulberry lifetime expectancy...If it’s only for occasional use I’m sure it would still look perfectly lovely for years after you buy, barring any unfortunate accidents!

@twosoups1972 What condition is your Kensington in? I might be interested in buying although I can’t do any big spends for a bit so it would probably be a couple of months before I could commit...
