Bag lovers, do you watch Shea Whitney and Emma Anders unboxing?

I can't stop watching their uploads on to youtube. I'm not convinced that buying a bag is ever an investment! And I wouldn't buy a channel flap or a Louis Vuitton Alma as they're too 'formal' looking for me, but I like watching them review their bags.

And i"m losing perspective, I'm starting to think Chloe bags are gorgeous bargains. They are gorgeous alright.

If you had a big birthday coming up and you wanted to buy a bag, what would you dream of owning.

It comes in mini, small or medium. I'm thinking of getting the small to use for my every day bad, holds phone, purse, glasses etc.

I'm not sure if black is too 'safe' as they do a lot of other gorgeous colours, but as I want to use it for work and all day every day alongside my laptop bag, I'm thinks black kind of fits all, and with all the metal work it looks a bit different

Here is a details pic of my new Chanel drawstring bag... tbh I'm not that keen on the combo of this shade of blue with gold hardware (mainly because I just don't know what outfits I can wear this with) BUT I shall never admit this to DH who is pleased as punch with his purchase

I do love the charm bracelet look of the straps though!

I'm starting a new job on Monday with a considerable hike in salary, I'm trying so hard not to buy the Chloe bag before I even start. But I will when I get my first wage packet (if I can wait that long)

Love the blue. My only concern would be that it's suede.

I have a celine with suede panels and it doesn't wear well.

@whoknewbeefstew i looked at that chloe one today. It is lovely. Gorgeous. I picked up hammock and actually i wonder if your stuff might be too exposed. I still love it but i dont think it is THE BAG

Oh yes, Tom Ford bags!! Very very nice. Never really thought about that brand for bags but in the flesh they are lovely. Slouchy but solid and gorgeous with expensive looking hardware.

Ps whoknewbeefstew in some places an expensive bag gives you a bit of social capital. Nobody would notice where i work i dont think. But buy a bag quick before you get used to the salary increase!

@LoeweHammock I'm with you on the Tom Ford bags, gorgeous and very durable. I have a couple of the clutch bags but not any of the full sized bags yet. I don't particularly like the ones with a big TF on them though. They're pretty expensive but you really get what you pay for in quality 😍

Book marking the Mulberry Keeley which was also LOVELY in real life. I was browsing earlier and this caught my attention. It never did on line but it called me over for a whisper and I picked it up and thought, wow, I could put all my day's stuff in here (within reason) and it goes over my shoulder, I LOVE you I whispered.

I saw a woman on the bus with this bag in black and I noticed it was a Mulberry handbag.

It seemed a lovely size. Hers was black but I like it in the ecru colour or whatever it's called.

YES I travel on buses! I often see women on the bus with lovely handbags. It just sounds incongruous, checking out other women's bags .... on the bus

ps this beauty is the Mulberry Leighton. I really like it in a practical way. I could see myself deciding in the end - after months of indecision considering yellow bags for example - on a bag like this.

I didn't realise the Mulberry Leighton was as big as that.. I love the red one, it's a shame they do t do the mini in red. I'm torn now

I’ve always got 5-10 firm favourites from Mulberry on my wishlist. Next I’m looking seriously at a Millie tote in red/blue/black, or the small Millie tote in same colours but inverted, or in yellow, or the bigger Darley in the clay.

For my next big birthday (seven years away) I might get a Chanel. Or a Dior. But probably not because it’s so much money.

@WhoKnewBeefStew I've decided. I have no loans. I'm going to borrow the money from work credit union and pay back about 27 pw. (against my own savings)

@Ninkaninus, I'm not the sort of person who can comfortably buy designer handbags so I had a big birthday in my head too, to justify it. But since the beginning of this year I've bought no new clothes. Haven't been tempted, and I decided not to.

When I get a handbag I love it so intensely, it is definitely going to bring me joy every day, about 3.54 worth of joy a day, definitely

Love the mulberry Leighton - I haven't bought a mulberry since the Alexa and don't tend to look at their stock much.

The Leighton ticks a lot of boxes might be a win
