Flowers to all who need it, wishing you well today!

I’m so disappointed - My Boden espadrilles arrived: Lovely colour, really comfortable, very happy with them.

But for the fact that there’s a huge and very obvious mark to the suede on one of the shoes! Angry Angry So now I am going to have to return for an exchange, and cross my fingers that the next pair is perfect. It’s just not good enough, though. It’s not hard to check an order for quality assurance before you send it out.

dontcallmelen · 05/06/2019 12:38

Nink that’s so annoying , mine have just arrived as well haven’t had a chance to look yet, also got an oasis denim jacket which is lovely.
Laska yy the orange one, boo hiss. Mixed bag then with the orders but ikwym buying pretty expensive dress, then rarely wear it done way to much of that myself.
Cherries yeahy you can now pack lots more outfits for your holidays win win.
Miffy glad you are feeling better, hope all goes with with dcs various new adventures, yy though is a long time to be away bet they will have a ball.
😂 at all the mini dress up soo cute & sigh they grow up way too fast.

twosoups1972 · 05/06/2019 13:02

@cherries bikini tops sound great.

twosoups1972 · 05/06/2019 13:04

@ninka phone Boden and check they are in stock, their customer service is pretty good, they may even send them out before you return the other ones.

@laska are you thinking of a boob reduction too?

Laska2Meryls · 05/06/2019 14:14

two soup yes I am, but I want to lose the extra weight -over a stone sadly -.I have put on since my DM was Ill and passed away first.
Since then other ongoing family things my ruddy sister/ inheritance issues and other stresses have meant that I just haven't stuck to the diet at all.. feeling like a really fat pig right now ( I know it's daft as I am not enormous, but it's not helped because I have a beach holiday coming up ,)

justilou1 · 05/06/2019 15:20

Thanks for your thoughts, @Sheep! After tonight’s homework dramas, adulting at home or in Melbourne is unappealing everywhere. It’s midnight and I am now wending my way down the stairs in the dark to the laundry to check that kids have uniforms for school tomorrow. They assured me that they did, but I happen to have viewed the washing machine (wet and moving around) and the dryer (mouth open and gasping to be filled).... pretty sure three out of three were lying to me!
That orange git sure is a piece of work, isn’t he? I love how Her Mag has been carrying a black handbag, as though mourning her headspace. (Bet she’d just love to beat him off with it, too!) Where’s James Bond when we need him?

ilovecherries · 05/06/2019 15:54

I wouldn’t push anyone into surgery they aren’t ready for, laska, but keep in mind that even privately you could be 6 months from initial consultation to surgery, more if you see more than one surgeon. And even if they CAN do you sooner, you could set a later date. You don’t need to be ‘perfect’ before you see anyone. And having seen several surgeons - mainly as I needed specialist anaesthesiology - I never saw one that was less than respectful, sympathetic and kind.

Just sorry meant to say, that’s tough for you & yes being a grown up definitely sucks sometimes & I feel you pain with uniforms mine used too do that all the bloody time💐

Laska2Meryls · 05/06/2019 17:33

cherries yes, I was thinking making an appointment in September.. and thinking hopefully December (when I am planning on leaving work) . but going to look into it properly when we get back from holiday ..

SoyYo · 05/06/2019 17:47

Hola from España! Sorry I’ve gone AWOL my Hush friends but it’s been busy busy since arriving on Sunday evening. I’m trying to catch up with the chat but have only just finished the old thread so waving to you all!

@miffy sorry about your poor sore ear. I really suffered once with an ear infection and intercontinental flight it was just awful 😢 GP said I was lucky I didn’t puncture my ear drum. Glad you’re feeling better now.

@never loved the blue jacket and happy earrings and happy belated birthday to your twins. Really sorry to hear about your relative cancer diagnosis. I wish you all strength Flowers

@gin hope you’re feeling great after the hols, sunshine is good for the soul.
@each sorry about your health woes too but well jell of your Glasto plans (haven’t been to a Glasto since ‘89 but fond memories. Have done other festivals since and we always manage one each summer)

@laska I haven’t read the new thread yet but looking Fw to seeing you in @gin’s MV dress

Indeed I’m wearing a long floaty cotton East Indigo Indian print today which I totally forgot I had as I left it here in the house in Spain and found other fabulous things which really made me think this is why I keep replacing my summer clothes in Uk I was actually thinking of ordering an Aspiga white dress with lace (short for the beach) as consolation for not buying the long Hush lace dress. Guess what? It’s hanging in my wardrobe here! Blush. Lovely surprise but it’s certainly stopped me in my tracks!

@not told you you’d love the Jamie t shirt dress and we have the same kimono now (I’m wearing here in Spain). Everything looked lovely on you in the last thread.

Okay back laters when I’ve caught up with the new thread

Ninkaninus · 05/06/2019 17:56

I only skimmed earlier and feel terrible for moaning and whingeing about inconsequential things considering the things some of you are facing.

Sorry, and wishing you strength. 🌷

Laska2Meryls · 05/06/2019 18:01

soy I have sent back the MV dress , But WHY have you just told me about Aspiga when I have bought my Holiday clothes!! . I was just contemplating how good I have been after sending back lots of stuff today and saving my credit card ...

Ellapaella · 05/06/2019 18:05

Oh Lordy.. just looked at Aspiga! My word there are some beautiful dresses on there

Laska2Meryls · 05/06/2019 18:12

I love the simple yellow linen one ..ella sits on hands, I really do have enough
My Belle Lingerie bikini finally arrived to day , got the matching bottoms also . V pleased with it and v good price. The black/ tropical one is going back , print is too vivid for me !

dontcallmelen · 05/06/2019 19:20

Oh my that site, really does have some beautiful dresses🙈
Laska lovely bikini top.
Nink don’t feel terrible, you & all of us have concerns & worries💐
The Boden espadrilles are really lovely, beautifully finished but I fear mine are a bit big, the heel doesn’t come to end of the shoe & quite a bit of room at the toes😢

ilovecherries · 05/06/2019 20:12

How high do the bikini bottoms come, laska? I’ve got that top but didn’t buy the bottoms. The nearer my belly button the better, I like all my surgical damage contained!

OP posts:
Laska2Meryls · 05/06/2019 20:38

Not that high cherries they are about mid way to tummy button on me (but i've decided I dont care even though I really should with my tum as it is right now. I also have some mid rise ones in black which go with the top as it has black in the pattern (I hate sitting on the beach in wet swimwear) I got them from ebay as they didnt have the M from Belle lingerie. But these deeper ones may be better if you want higher..

Laska2Meryls · 05/06/2019 20:43

Fold top ones are good also as they can be adjusted, and they also have high waisted ones

twosoups1972 · 05/06/2019 20:57

Ooohh Aspiga! I have some of their sandals from a few years ago which are really comfy.

Laska2Meryls · 05/06/2019 21:14

Oh look at these Aspiga sandals! lush ..

neveradullmoment99 · 05/06/2019 22:02

There are nice things on that Aspiga website. I have never heard of them before. Looks like you have all been chatty. Why did you decide to return the dress? I thought I was lovely.
As for me, not fashion news really. Just been a bit stressed at work...
Too many things to do, expectations far too high yada yada…
Oh and don't talk to me about the weather. Where is the summer?

neveradullmoment99 · 05/06/2019 22:03

*no fashion news !

neveradullmoment99 · 05/06/2019 22:04

As for hush, hardly tempting choice of reduced t-shirts. Anyone bought any? I returned the green one @laska. Beautiful colour but when they are washed they are practically see through on me.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/06/2019 22:06

Oh and the white broderie blouse came. Its a little big on the shoulders but a more comfortable fit. I do think i like the neater one on though but I will keep the white as I do like a bit of broderie anglaise.

Laska2Meryls · 05/06/2019 22:18

It was lovely never but I thought too ££ and 'posh' for the sort of holiday I go on (scuffing about on the beach mainly ) I'm trying to be more practical..and Ive spent far too much recently Smile
