Thank you @SoyYo how is your ds doing?

I’m a bit disappointed with the sale too. I was hoping to get a Kensington dress but it’s not in the sale.

@Huffthepuff did you have the egg/mushroom dish?

SoyYo · 16/06/2019 13:42

He’s doing better thank you for asking soups. He’s gone to Brighton for the weekend and seems keen to move back by summers end. I’ll worry a lot when he’s gone as I think he’s not 100% there yet but he’s keeping up his therapy and overall in a much better place, but he misses being able to make music with friends and that’s a huge part of who he is.

On the Hush sale, I actually had to remove a couple of items off my basket there was a few other things I would have liked too, but the Aster combo I think it’s super gorgeous and even if not super reduced I just had to try!
Also couldn’t resist the zebra jumper this time round Blush
Hoping it’ll look terrible on me and will return but expect I’ll keep the T shirts in any case...

SoyYo · 16/06/2019 13:48

I think the kakhi scattered star T will go nicely with my Kiera culottes (bought in the last sale and great for smart/casual work outfit).

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2019 14:04

So ordered the lupin dress in a 10 as I had tried it on and said I would get it in the sale and the pineapple denim shorts. So that is me done.

SoyYo · 16/06/2019 14:37

Yes I remember the Lupin dress on you never great on you and much better price in the sale. I was tempted by the pineapple shorts but having bought the star shorts already I thought I’d best exercise some restraint...

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2019 14:53

Well I love the little star shorts but I felt I have had enough star prints in my life and that the pineapple ones would make a change. How are the star shorts? Are they quite generous? The reviews say they are [ well certainly the pineapple ones] Think they will be similar in size. I am hoping they are generous on my waist.

SoyYo · 16/06/2019 15:21

Yes never the 12 is generous as they fitted without any tightness before I lost weight, now they’re a little loose and need a belt to wear them. But I also have the black denim shorts from last SS in a 10 and a pair of tighter Boden denim frayed shorts (and some white White company ones in a 10).
Plus Monaco sports from last SS.
So you see why I couldn’t justify the pineapple ones Blush even though I think they’re lovely!

ilovecherries · 16/06/2019 15:23

@Laska2Meryls which panama do you have? Can you roll it? Do you like it? My naked scalp needs a hat to wear all the time I’m not wearing hair, so don’t want anything too beachy - and some make me look worryingly like Boy George.

Did anyone ever order the Aster culottes? I think they’re great and the only reason I was put off before was the ££ . I have high hopes and ordered the matching cami just to “see” as generally I avoid camisoles (don’t like wearing strapless bras and I always look huge as I have wide shoulders and a very generous chest but at least to try).
I think the culottes with a plainer top will be enough of a statement in any case.
Anyway excited to at least try!Smile

FuzzyPuffling · 16/06/2019 16:45

Right Hushies, here is your mission if you choose to accept it...
I have £65 of John Lewis vouchers (willing to add a bit if needs be).

Find me something lovely to wear.

I'm 5'8" tall, size 14/16, feet size 8, age 61 and live rurally, (and I already have great wellingtons!)

I don't have a clue. Normally I live in hoodies and shorts. (PS I really fancied a Kensington dress, but none left in my size)

Ellapaella · 16/06/2019 18:31

What's your colouring @FuzzyPuffling? Do you prefer dresses/skirts or trousers?

FuzzyPuffling · 16/06/2019 19:11

I'm a winter...so no khaki or sludge colours, no orange or brown. Everything in my wardrobe is black, navy grey or blue! (I quite fancy some emerald green)

I like dresses, have trouble with trousers (rarely long enough, I need at least a 32" inside leg with flat shoes) and have no idea what to do with a skirt!

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2019 19:35

There is the hush Janelle. You have the height and I think the V-neck would be flattering:

Its a shame as the khaki version is on the Hush website. @Laska has this dress. I think she really rates it.

I think this is also really nice by Kin. Its JL own brand. It can look quite volumous on the model but you could size down for a slimmer fit. Its a beautiful light and fresh print and would look good over skinny jeans/leggings. I think you would look beautiful in it as you have height.

You should check out the other kin stuff. I think its rather nice. Reminds me of Toast crossed with Cos.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2019 19:37

Love this top too:

This is lovely https://www.johnlewis.com/warehouse-leopard-midi-dress-green/p4187328

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2019 19:40

And this top is just beautiful. Pair with wide leg jeans, slim jeans. It looks just lovely and I was going to buy it but sold out. It looks a beautiful colour and a complete bargain.

This is gorgeous https://www.johnlewis.com/jolie-moi-roll-collar-50s-dress/green/p4077036

FuzzyPuffling · 16/06/2019 19:41

Ooh lovely stuff ladies, thank you. I am more excited about your suggestions than anything else. Too much choice bamboozles me! More more....!

Ellapaella · 16/06/2019 19:47

This Hush dress is lovely and would suit a winter? https://www.johnlewis.com/white-stuff-casa-linen-dress/p4119466

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2019 19:49

So I just won a gorgeous toast white top with blue pinstripes for £27 and free p&p. Its a size 10 but its a generous fit as I asked the seller. If its good, will return the Toast blue shirt [s]. It was still pricey for second hand but it does look beautiful and its nice and long! [ and not £75]

Ellapaella · 16/06/2019 19:50

Great colour for a winter https://www.johnlewis.com/warehouse-tie-front-button-cotton-dress-dark-red/p4165238

Ellapaella · 16/06/2019 19:52

Good find never!
