Grin @whiskyremorse

twosoups1972 · 15/06/2019 18:44

Think my dh would say the same!

Huffthepuff · 15/06/2019 19:26

Fab bag Nink! I'd love a lilly in oxblood. Mulberry bags are just beautiful

Thanks ladies for all your help yesterday choosing an outfit. Had a fab time at Sushi Samba. Incredible food and wonderful views. Felt great in the Monsoon jumpsuit, was definitely the right choice in the end and just about warm enough that I didn't regret not taking a jacket

@Huff gorgeous jumpsuit

whiskyremorse · 15/06/2019 19:34

My small boob/exercise issue made me think of all the discomfort that @cherries has gone through and future corrections ahead. It's a strange one as our boobs are so visible but men don't get the same grief from their appendages. Although I was next mat along from a man in hot yoga who was constantly rearranging his shorts. I felt like giving him a hard stare which is quite difficult when you're trying to balance and meditate. Sigh

neveradullmoment99 · 15/06/2019 20:09

Oh do you have it @ilovecherries. I ordered the size 12 but a bit worried it will be too big. What size did you go for?
I have been looking at that shirt forever. Its so expensive even in the sale but its just gorgeous.

ilovecherries · 15/06/2019 20:41

laska, never, mine is a 12. I could possibly have got away with a 10, but I never actually consider that is possible. I’ve left it down the road or I would photo it. I would imagine both of you could prob wear a 10.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/06/2019 20:45

Thanks @cherries. I may order it and return the 10 if it is still in stock.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/06/2019 20:48

I have just ordered the 10. Annoying paying for return postage but still, It will annoy me if its too big and then sells out after looking at it for so long. Do you think its worth it @ilovecherries

neveradullmoment99 · 15/06/2019 20:53

@Huffthepuff Love the jumpsuit too. The food looks delicious..
We went out for the day today and the whether wasn't too bad. So beautiful in Argyle. We passed through Arrochar and down by Inveraray. The Scottish countryside is so beautiful.

noodlezoodle · 15/06/2019 20:57

Huff you look absolutely fab in the Monsoon jumpsuit, good choice and the sushi looks delicious.

You are all making me hanker after a linen jumpsuit which I'm not sure is a very good idea because I'm yet to find a jumpsuit that works on me! Everlane have a nice one in a dusty blue which I may have to investigate.

Ellapaella · 15/06/2019 21:03

@Huffthepuff you look amazing, love the jumpsuit and the bag is a beaut! Great views and good looks scrumpy. I'm jealous.. feel like I haven't been anywhere exciting for ages (slight exaggeration, it's only been a couple of weeks but you know...)

Ellapaella · 15/06/2019 21:04

Uh food looks scrummy not scrumpy! Ooh errr

Huffthepuff · 15/06/2019 21:31

Yeah Ella I know what you mean! It was nice to be out somewhere different (not work) and not chasing after a toddler. Was lovely coming home to ds though 😍

ilovecherries · 15/06/2019 22:39

never, I like it, but I suspect like most Toast stuff it’s a bit marmite. Like you, I’d been lusting for a while and I promised myself if it went under £70 I’d have it, but then cracked at £75. It’s a lovely fabric and beautifully finished. When you look at a Hush shirt at about the same price, there is no comparison.

@Huffthepuff - you look beautiful AND comfy in your jumpsuit.... and the sushi looks delectable. Am about to get up and do Bambi eyes and hope DH makes me a coffee. We went out for dinner last night to a food truck market place with live bands, etc - which was great until DS was gesticulating wildly and knocked my red wine into my lap. Have to soak my jeans now. 🙄 Food was yummy though!!! @GinandGingerBeer
That gin and it’s friends all look fab. We have a gin bar around the corner that sell some fab ones. I might pop in and see if they have heard of this brand!!!

SoyYo · 15/06/2019 23:17

Huff so lovely in your jumpsuit! 😍 Looks beautiful on you, with the sandals and bag such a summery vibe. Looks Great!

justilou1 · 16/06/2019 00:41

Just meant to point out @whiskyremorse - some of the blokes I’ve seen in exercise classes and on the beach should really invest in supportive bras as well. Or bros, maybe.... not pretty. They can’t be comfortable either!!! 🤢🤮🤢

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2019 07:19

I must admit I have never ever had gin. I think you need to give me a few suggestions as to what to have it with? I am off to a get together in a fortnight so some suggestions as mixers would be amazing.

@ilovecherries I know what you mean about Toast quality. The dungarees and mostly everything I have bought from Toast has been outstanding quality wise. I did search and search for something similar but couldn't find anything as long and as classic.
I really did not want to spend that amount on it. So I have ordered both the 10 and the 12 so will see. I think I may have been a bit gutted if I had got the 12 and felt it was just too baggy and the 10 was sold out. It does seem popular @Laska2Meryls. If I sell some stuff on ebay I wont feel so bad about it and will offset the cost.
As for today its a working and tidying up day [ oh and food shopping day] Then work tomorrow but the holidays are coming into full sight with only next week and the following week and then off for 6/7wks.

justilou1 · 16/06/2019 07:58

@never, gin is traditionally a “refreshing”, clean sort of a drink. It goes with tonic, citrus, (I love lime, pink grapefruit, blood orange, etc with it....) cucumber, mint, berries, etc.... It is delicious with bitter lemon. Gin is very strong, and you don’t need very much - it can be very overpowering!!!
One of my favourite cocktails I have had lately is gin muddled in a lowball glass with homemade sharp orange marmalade (I think any citrussy marmalade would work as long as not too sloppy!) and mint, lots of ice, Prosecco or sparkling wine.... (Or tonic or soda water if you prefer!) Easy and YUM!!! A little twist of orange rind on top and a mint sprig makes it look very professional.
There are lots of recipes on Pinterest that are easy too!

Morning Hushistas!
Love reading these threads and have posted very occasionally on them. I received a pre-sale email this morning, looks like the main sale starts on 18th! To be honest I browsed the sale and not much jumped out at me! I ordered the Heather layered skirt to try but that’s it!

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2019 09:22

Ooooh I signed in an can view it too :)

GinandGingerBeer · 16/06/2019 09:28

There are loads of lovely mixers nowadays to go with gin, fever tree is widely available and does lots of different flavours. Sadly for me though as bloody everywhere does fever tree now and their 'light' version still isn't sugar free. I can't have the flavoured ones as I'd have have to arse about giving insulin for them which when under the influence isn't a great idea!
I stick to a plain (sugar free when available ) tonic with a flavoured gin but most places you go will be knowledgable on the mixer front.
I only really got into gin since being diagnosed with T1 Grin as I am limited to either diet tonic or Diet Coke and I hate Diet Coke. I can have wine but I tend to be in a bucket after a glass!
Favourites are blood orange (can't remember brand name.....) Boe passion fruit, Whitely Neil rhubarb and ginger and Gin Mare. DH has just bought me a bottle of Quince gin, not tried it yet....

GinandGingerBeer · 16/06/2019 09:29

Ooh,,,,, sale? 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️

Writersblock2 · 16/06/2019 09:34

Hi ladies! I can’t keep up with the daily postings here (but I absolutely adore reading them) but I plan to keep dropping by here because you are all so lovely, even if it’s going to cost me a fortune. Grin

So I’m off to Florida in November and in the process of getting fitter/losing weight. I was an 18 and now I’m at a 14 again but aiming for 12 when I go away. It makes it hard to decide whether to buy now though in the sales. I’ve bought a few bits because I’m scared I’d i leave it until October it will be impossible to buy nice summer gear. So I’ve mostly ordering slightly tight and hoping everything won’t be too loose by then. Confused

Anyway, so...Hush sale. Is there anywhere we can get a sneak peek? I’ve been eyeing up a couple of bits I don’t really want to pay full price for, but knowing my luck they won’t be in the sale.
