At the risk of earning myself a punch, it has been over 90 degrees every day here since Saturday which for SF is a bit of a shocker and really miles TOO hot as we're not used to it and can't cope Smile

One thing that has been brilliant that I bought back home was this dress from John Lewis - very cool and wafty and catches the breeze if there is one: www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-linen-handkerchief-hem-dress/navy/p4007229?s_afcid=af_209635&tmad=c&awc=1203_1560178947_d67cdb8bce1b97d6d789064a3118c362&tmcampid=48#

I've just been wearing it loose but have seen someone else belt it and it looked lovely that way too. Recommend for anyone going on hols and of course the rest of you when the English summer finally arrives.

Laska2Meryls · 12/06/2019 19:37

not Ilike the belted dress, and the paperbag culottes, (they look great with that top you are wearing with them) .The skirt and top are ok but not the best I have seen you in, tbh, len love the superdrys also.

Twosoups the Hush sale is usually the Tuesday after we go on holiday ! , We are going late this year, so I am predicting Tuesday
25th (which is before we go, but as I wont have anyone to collect parcels this year, I shall have to abstain..)

never sadly I dont tan!! its not that i have never tried , but I am sadly lily white. The best I can ever manage is a dirty cream and a few .. (Id have been great in the 17th/18th c ) . looking forward to seeing the Toast Dungies .My Toast stuff was in Swansea earlier according to the P.O, ( maybe on its way down M4 now )

Soy welcome home to damp and drizzly Blighty ! Did you wear that bikini?

twosoups1972 · 12/06/2019 19:38

Even the fish finger butty turned out disappointing. I didn’t have any tartare sauce and mayo just didn’t cut it. Didn’t have any rocket either. Bah! I’m putting on my PJs soon and pretend it’s autumn Grin

Laska2Meryls · 12/06/2019 19:43

Oh and I want a seasalt discount code if anyone has one ..
and what do you all think of this shirt? probably too expensive, I'm thinking ?

But I am thinking of getting one of their necklaces probably this one I love these earrings also

Laska2Meryls · 12/06/2019 19:46

Two Soups I am a Doctor (ok not quite, but I do have an MA, a MSC and a PGDip, and a grade 1 Cookery O level .. Will that do? ).... I prescribe Wine

dontcallmelen · 12/06/2019 19:56

Aww Soups that is so rubbish, I second Dr Laska prescription into have O level cookery if that helps.
Laska tis very pretty but a bit £ the jewellery is lovely.
Rained here most of the day again, got absolutely soaked when I went to pick dgd up from nursery, have the heating on & in my pjs.
Does a cross face at noodle
Welcome back Soy sounds like you had a fabulous time.

dontcallmelen · 12/06/2019 19:58

Lovely dress though Noodle so lets her off a bit.

dontcallmelen · 12/06/2019 20:00

Soups planning a shopping day at some point, we are in really easy reach of Ibiza Town so sod the culture I’m just interested in the shops & shoes 😂

Laska2Meryls · 12/06/2019 20:06

Noodle Where are you ? ..SF?.. South France ?, San Francisco? san Fernando? Suomi Finland? certainly not South Freshwater (as its been cold and wet here today!)

Laska2Meryls · 12/06/2019 20:09

oops... I am so Outed ! Hello workmates!

ilovecherries · 12/06/2019 20:14

I bought last years version of that navy dress, noodle, after seeing it on a MidLifeChic. It’s super comfy and the colour is kinder to me than black.

Grrrrr the app isn’t working for me! What’s going on with mumsnet?

GinandGingerBeer · 12/06/2019 21:06

It's the black and white one @soups.
(Will catch up properly later Smile)

NotAnActualSheep · 12/06/2019 21:28

Ouch. Just been at plates and everything hurts. I didn't even know I had muscles in my armpits, but they are definitely objecting... One of my "classmates" is off to ibiza too next week len! The instructor's mum has a plates studio on the mainland but a short ferry ride from ibiza, so she was recommending there as a little day trip as it's a cute little town with lovely restaurants etc (denia?). Hope you feel a bit more in the packing mood tomorrow - you do have some lovely stuff... You just need to get your holiday mojo back!

And soups too. Sorry you're feeling down Flowers. I second the Wine prescription (and I am an actual Dr, but only of any use if you happen to want to know about pine trees). Hope the big hair cheers you up (I know not of the device of which you speak... My hair wouldn't do big if you fed it cake for a month...) Have you tried oasis or mango for dresses? There looked to be a few nice ones when I last went into an actual shop. Wallis is sometimes good too, but at the moment they just seem to be a sea of really horrible patterns (imo) on polyester--though that's just looking on their website. They have a sale on, though. Love noodle's dress too... the pink version is v summery.

Re ebay - yy, it is quite a gamble. I do buy from there but only if I've tried on the garment or something v similar previously, or I can get proper measurements from the seller. I have had a few bad buys before I started doing that (sizes from a few years ago in a known brand not being the same as current sizing, for example) - but I treat it as a bit of fun really, and don't get too invested in any particular item. Some things go for silly money... A toast silk dress I thought was pretty the other week, and would have bid about £20 for to have a look went for about £155 in the end Shock.

laska love the pink shirt with the shorts - it looks such a nice fresh outfit! And the cobalt blue bikini is lovely (oh yes, you did properly rock the bikini the other day, before that thread went nasty - I was so behind on posts I forgot to say! ). Love that floaty nomad shirt and the necklace too. Thanks for the comment on the dress and culottes... the gingham blouse is going back... I liked the idea (once I decided it wasn't too school uniform-y) but it had odd puffy sleeves, and also was a bit tight over the bust (even mine) in the largest size they had. And I don't really wear blouses as much as I think I will.

soy Welcome back!! Hope you've bought better Mediterranean weather back with you, and glad you had a lovely time relaxing with your family Smile. And also never - hope things are a bit less crazy with work. Really looking forward to seeing the dungarees... And agree at that cost they will need to be perfection!

cherries have your boobs screwed themselves back yet? How exciting getting nice new bras (even if you want to keep the comfy compression ones)!! We use insure and go too... DH has an existing condition that lots of places seem to flinch at, and it seems a reasonable cost for us, but I would try len's suggestion too to see if it's a better price.

NotAnActualSheep · 12/06/2019 21:36

Oh yes... Not sure on timing on the sale ( laska's guess is as good as any!) but I did Google for hush sale, and there's a page which has got some things on it, but no sale prices... here. Which may be things that will be going into the sale, though no indication how much they will be!

neveradullmoment99 · 12/06/2019 21:53

A lot of the sales are starting early. I wonder if Hush will do the same. What do you think?

neveradullmoment99 · 12/06/2019 22:02

@twosoups1972 I have that Jacket from Brand alley. Its lovely and definitely worth the price. I posted a picture a while back and I think I deleted it from my phone but it should be on the old thread if you can find it [ don't think its on the new one] I could try and post a couple of pics tomorrow.

whiskyremorse · 12/06/2019 22:31

I have been catching up on my reading of your chat and I doing a cheeky bookmark as the bookmark button on the android app is being very temperamental and I will exhaust my scrolling finger if I have to find my place again. Lazy moo.
@Soy bet it's a shock to come back from Spain. Sick of workload and rain.

twosoups1972 · 12/06/2019 22:34

Thank you laska and melen no wine but I do have chocolate Smile

ilovecherries · 12/06/2019 22:36

They were almost screwed on, but then I went for another run today not. In the rain - so now they are probably going to go rusty as well. I have a review appt tomorrow - slightly worried that I may need a revision on one side. We’ll see what he thinks. I’ve healed incredibly well, and I wouldn’t have a cosmetic revision, but I can’t lift my arm fully above my head because of a sort of contracture thing. I’m hoping time and physio will be enough, but slightly nervous.

Laska2Meryls · 12/06/2019 22:37

Hmm, perhaps it will be earlier then. There are a few things I have bought already on that page Never ....Serin jumper, green lucky T , and black white striped T. and also some older stuff again, like the Keiras.

twosoups1972 · 12/06/2019 22:37

never does it come up quite big? Does BA do free returns?

laska re Hush sale, that’s quite specific! You made me laugh Grin Can just imagine all the Hush staff planning their sale around your holiday!

dontcallmelen · 12/06/2019 22:37

Not will only be a very short ferry ride from Formentera, the little island which is meant to be lovely & has a very chilled vibe with lots of yoga retreats, ouch with achey armpits though.
Currently wading through 20million pairs of shorts ( I went a bit mad in the Boden sale last year) trying to frantically match tops with em I’m so indecisive when I’m packing & always get carried away.

dontcallmelen · 12/06/2019 22:39

😂😂 at screwed on now possibly rusting new boobs, good luck with the appointment cherries 🤞🏻
